i know most leftists agree that everybody should have a right to food, water, shelter, and healthcare but i think a vitally important fifth pillar is privacy. people should not be compelled to be tracked, monitored, or to share personal space with others to access their other essential rights

blue moon in sagittarius // may 31st
i previously covered the symbolism of the blue moon in this post, so let's hone in on the archer itself, sagittarius.
sagittarius, the 9th sign of the zodiac, is a mutable fire sign that is ruled by jupiter. sagittarius represents energy, optimism, expansion, exploration, freedom, curiosity, faith, plus a thirst for wisdom gained through adventure and travel. despite all of its goodness, sagittarius is not immune to its own vices of impatience and arrogance, especially when it feels that there is nothing left to learn, that it knows everything there is to know, and that its quest for knowledge can come to an end, when in reality, we are always learning. we are always searching. you know what they say about people who think they know everything.
the full moon is well known for its power to manifest intentions and illuminate all that is hidden; blue is a color often associated with communication and the flow of words; and, the elusive blue moon symbolizes unique and rare opportunities.
when sagittarius is paired with the luminous blue moon, you can expect themes of movement, manifesting travel plans, exploring new things (places, people, aspects of yourself, career paths, etc.), communication, once in a lifetime opportunities, and having faith in the unknown. knowing that taking risks and leaps of faith are the only way to truly grow and succeed.

considerations
how do you best communicate with others?
what have you been holding back on? restricting or withholding?
what would you like to be more educated about?
what obstacles are keeping you from achieving your goals?
have you been too hasty in your decision making lately?
what are you most afraid of in terms of growth and moving forward?
where do you see yourself in the next few years?
are you willing to take risks to get what you want? to step into the unknown?
where would you like to travel to for leisure? is there somewhere you would travel for education or experience, instead? are they one in the same?
are you ignoring your responsibilities for fun instead?
are you running from your problems?
think about your spirituality and faith - how is it serving you? how is your relationship with your deities? ancestors? do you need to check in with any of your spirits or guides?
are you willing to admit you're wrong? are you willing to learn from others?

I don't know who else needs to hear this but:
Thought crimes don't belong in magic!
When I cast spells I tend to whisper them, even when I'm on my own. Sometimes, my brain might tag something on to the end of a spell that I don't want. In a quiet room, there can feel like so little difference between a whisper and a thought. I then proceed to panic, thinking I've done something terrible. This is a lesson I also need to learn and internalise.
Your intrusive thoughts don't care if you're a witch. They're gonna happen anyway. That does not mean you've put any intent behind them 🖤
I love the casual substitution of "gods" instead of "god" in colloquial sayings. "oh my gods" "gods, my feet hurt" etc etc. like yeah deconstruct the societal standard of monotheism with me. let's party
