ive seen a few people mention the idv callout doc and since i pretty much theme my entire blog around idv and talk about it a lot i wanted to mention it.
concerning the stuff in the doc: i read through it bc i was curious whether they had mentioned the same stuff that i already knew about (patricia’s backstory, the ableism in jack and aesop’s deductions, luchino being an antisemitic caricature, the whitewashing, and the blackface in the screenplay) and they mentioned a few things that i had not been aware of, notably some of the ableism in the skins.
i also want to apologize for not talking about this more clearly before - i know a lot of people who follow me don’t know what identity v is, and therefore could be introduced to the game via me talking about it. as such i should have said something about the game’s racist/ableist features sooner.
