He could either act as if he didn't know, reject him at first but then let him in, or be honest and say that he did know this entire time -- only to go ahead and say that he returned the feelings. The last choice seemed to be the easiest to pull off, so he grinned wide and welcome, lacing his hands behind his head.-

-And finally, his plan could be set in motion.-

-Shadow could feel his body temperature rise at that little utterance, his muzzle beginning to dampen with sweat. He lowered his hands to his sides, balling them into tight, tight fists that almost certainly would have given his intense nervousness away if he hadn’t been wearing gloves to cover his hands.-

Yes. It’s… a bit difficult to describe, so promise me you won’t laugh, alright?

-Why on Earth was Shadow so anxious? It almost made Sonic impatient. He wanted to get along with the next portion of his plans, but the longer the black hedgehog delayed in confessing, the less and less likely he'd be able to. Thankfully, he managed to come off as a lot more patient than he felt.-

Of...course I wouldn't laugh? Why would I laugh?

-Shadow took notice of this and began to instantly get nervous. He started fidgeting with his hands, averting his eyes away from Sonic, but otherwise appearing completely composed. Somehow.-

Ah, well… th-there’s… something I’ve been… feeling, lately.

-Sonic watched Shadow's disposition with absolute fascination, mostly because he didn't understand anxiety entirely. He'd never felt it, after all. To see Shadow being anxious about something as small as confessing how he felt -- it was almost silly. The blue hedgehog easily prevented himself from snorting at it, though, as tempted as he felt to do so. Image was everything, after all.

Instead, he raised an eye ridge.-

Oh, but it was going to take more of a fight to tie this hedgehog down. Who instantly tried to shoot off at top speed to the other side of the cage the moment that faker grabbed him.

Strength versus speed. Sonic saw how it was.

Being of the same ilk, it allowed him to keep up with those kinds of speeds -- and be able to turn the tide against them. He held on tight to his "alternate's" arms, bringing him back as he could so that he could restrain him against the cage walls.

He already had a rope-like material in his hands, which he was trying to tie around Sonic's wrists so he could restrain him against the poles. 

Don't even try to get away~
