SILKSONGGGGGGGG!!!
Havenât been motivated for artmonth, but I wanted to make something for the anniversary at least, so hereâs a quick thing for nightcat!

tip me at ko-fi?
whenever I imagine two iterators interacting via puppet, I immediately conceptualize it as two academics playing dolls together, giving them funny little voices and making them 'kiss' (smacking the dolls into eachother) and all
like so
Cool Iterator facts!!!! (real)
Iterators can somewhat move
Ever noticed this room in GW?
hmmm
Yeah buddy didnt flush his rot, he literally took a CHUNK of himself out...
Also this one room in FP with the famous iterator ball inside the structure instead of outside
Joar had this to say about the matter:
Can I add to this real quick? some of this is a bit more speculative, but I need to dump this somewhere. (I'm also not spellchecking this right now. Good ridance this took like four hours to put together) Because of the crumbling state of the region, both The Rot and Submerged Superstructure (and sc too) allow the player to explore the backstage inner-workings of an iterator which are usually tucked away, and provide a lot of evidence to speculate on their function and purpose within the superstructure. First things first, Iterators can definitely move parts of their structure around. -The chambers in Memory Conflux (Referred to by their room name as 'labs') run on a rail system: Example 1) RW_Lab 13, top-side of memory conflux. (Five Pebbles)
Example 2) RM_DEAD_03, underside of memory conflux. (Would sit beneath Labs 11, 10, and 5.) (Five Pebbles)
Example 3) MS_MEMOUTSIDE -> ([Memory-conflux outside]) Underside of memory conflux. (Looks To The Moon)
-Each lab could be moved around, rearranged, or even cut off from the structure. (Evidence provided by OP, there is a lab which was dropped into GW)
-The structure that connects each lab together looks something like this: (This example is the connection between Lab 2 and what used to be lab 3). Note the geometry and shape of the connection plug and keep this in mind for later.
-Now: Onto these fuckers.
I haven't seen anyone mention these. For now I'll call them spider-crawlers: -Unlike the rail system which is present in both Moon's and Pebble's structure, these guys only appear in one specific place in Five Pebbles region. -There is still sufficient enough evidence to deduce the purpose of the spider-crawler, which I'll get into now. -These guys are found in the upper-left hand side of the memory conflux in the rot. -If you look at the hidden geometry in RM_ CONSTRUCT, you can see that they extend down from the ceiling above the rail-line. (The upper-left geometry is a rail-straddler)
-They are also able to manipulate objects: You can see that this one was in the process of attaching a *connection-shaft structure into the nearest Conflux Lab when it had come to a stand-still.
QUICK SIDE TANGENT: (*-We know that the spider crawler was attaching some kind of connection-shaft and not a stabilizer or something like that because it has the exact same geometry as the shafts that connect the labs together.
^Geometry -The connection-shaft then leads into the piping system that both moon and pebbles have above their memory conflux. (I only show pebbles here, but it's the route that saint takes to go to bitter aerie.
-This means the memory conflux labs could be connected to an external culvert system. This could be the 'flushing' or 'cooling' mechanism, or could be used to introducing certain gasses/liquids into a lab for iterating purposes. (Such as hot and cold water to cause temperature fluctuation- do you see at what I'm getting at :]) ---- SIDE TANGENT OVER: Back to the purpose of the spider crawler. The most damning piece of evidence is actually the names of the rooms they are found it. RM_ASSEMBLY AND RM_CONSTRUCT. Just take a look at his scene:
-Based on the room name, 'ASSEMBLY', which means 'the action of fitting together the component parts of a machine or other object', I speculate in this exact scene, that both spider-crawlers were in the process of attaching the pipe structure when they went stand still. One would operate on the outside of the lab, attaching the pipe into place, meanwhile the other would ensure that the pipe was attached properly. -Likely, the purpose of the spider-crawler was to organize and assemble the memory conflux in different arrangements. RM_Construct implies that could maybe even MAKE whole ass labs, but that I find less likely. In summary the spider-crawler is an assembly robot. ----- That was alot, and I've already spent a lot of time on this so I'm going to be a bit more concise (and lazy) for the next section. Memory conflux system rails sits adjacent to whatever the weird lightning rooms beneath the puppet chambers are: Example 1: Geometry similarities in Five pebbles.
Example 2: Adjacency in Looks to the moon.
That wasn't actually that important, that was just to transition into puppet chambers. The area around five pebbles puppet chamber visually changes between monk and rivulet:
Initially I though this change was due to five pebbles quite literally 'locking down' his structure as a last defense to delay the rot. using RM_LSLOCKDOWN to speculate that iterators could be able to lock down parts of their system and prevent any flow across the superstructure. In pebble's case, this would delay the spread of mobile rot cysts from traveling through his structure because it would need to gnaw through the gate first.
I did found some counter-evidence however in moon. Moon's puppet chamber:
And here is the exact same formation that surrounds Pebble's chamber, existing at the same time in submerged superstructure.
For the four-way chamber formation AND the normal chamber formation to exist at the same time means they can't be the same room in two different stages of locking down, rather they are adjacent rooms that exist beside eachother. This doesn't entirely mean that iterators couldn't lock up their access shafts in order to protect themselves, rather that the evidence which I thought could support that idea is not reliable anymore. Anyways, counterevidence is boring, so just to finish things off:
Moon and Pebs both have pipes which lead into their chambers :) So they could receive stuff from their inside their structure. Uhm, notice the geometry on pebble's pipe is the same as the lab pipes so technically his chamber is compatible and could theoretically connect him directly with the labs in his memory conflux. Okay. I'm done.

can you tell i had a brief moment in which i made a *lot* of scavtop gifs. its not my fault it works so damn well
Selfmade purposed organisms - Event horizon: space between nowhere. Cycle 365.
this is so messy but hereâs my interpretation of how cycles, reincarnation and death works in Rainworld
So the first thing to note is that I think itâs super.. timeline-y. Which is always a pain but whatever.
So generally, if you donât die you progress through time pretty linearly, each cycle being a single day. However, if you do die, in your perception you wake back up at the start of the day alongside everything else. But really youâve hopped sideways in time, to a new timeline starting at your death. In the perceptions of everything from the timeline you died in, youâre gone for GOOD, never to be seen again.
Also, though it may feel like a long time if you keep dying, the upward progression of time is actually consistent across all timelines. You canât âlag behindâ other timelines, just move horizontally away from them.
If you die of a more âpermanentâ cause, like disease or old age, this again works differently. You canât just wake up in a new timeline, because youâd still be afflicted with the thing that killed you, so instead you fully leave your old life and reincarnate as a new being carrying the same soul. This can occasionally resync the cycles of beings that were alive together at some point, but one died before the other.
Ascension is when every alternate version of yourself, across every single timeline, bundles into a single point and gets cut off at once. The Ultimate Termination of the self. This is how I explain that part in the void sea where a ton of clones start swimming with you.
