Worm Spoilers after the read more
I was thinking about so much of the story to build up to the end of The Worm was about Taylor learning from everyone around her. Everything from making decoys from Grue, fear and unpredictability from Bakuda and Lung, even shaping perception from Glenn Chambers. But it hit me, that one of the key things that helped her save the world came from somebody before any of the rest of them. Emma. Fucking traitorous whack ass Emma. Emma who remembered Taylor's grief that made her cry for a week after the death of her mother. Emma weaponized Taylor's own loss, and that was the greatest weapon Taylor had against the final big bad.
This au has a death grip on me.
