i think that,, elle argent is so important. trans representation is far and few in between no matter what, but trans representation like hers is,,, basically non-existent. her character exists without being all about transphobia and a difficult gender identity, but also mentioning that she's struggled. her character is about her personality. how kind she is, how funny she is, and how much she loves her friends. trans characters are so often represented as suffering constantly, or being lonely because everyone is transphobic, etc. alice oseman gave her a chance to be happy and beautiful and friendly, without the darkness that trans rep tends to come with.

I just watched this cute queer teen girls high school romance film called Crush, and let me tell you the amount of absolute delighted shock I experienced when the plot line had zero (0) homophobia in it at all, not one tiny moment - the queerness of everyone queer in this is so totally normalised and all the straights bat no eyelids or are allies and it's so damn refreshing, like visiting an oasis

AJ finding Paige's quirkiness adorable is what i LIVE FOR. Like how she pretends fo tolerate her fun facts but secretly enjoys them

And dont even get me started on Paige's long time crush fading away without her even realizing it siwjsjwkskjw.

Thr first kiss was perfect, not awkward not out of place but actually real.

No overused homophobia trope or the coming out story being the main plot (not that thise are bad but i think we have enough of those)

Overall 10/10 on the adorableness scale
