'Enclosure Rites' by Jony Easterby and Pippa Taylor, Wintringham, Yorkshire Wolds.
Inspired by the prehistoric landscape of barrows and palisaded enclosures and the Iron Age Chalk Figure 'Guardians' placed in the earth of Iron Age Hillforts, this outdoor artwork has particular significance since its construction unearthed two Bronze Age Round Barrows and a Prehistoric Trackway. The original chalk figures that inspired this work can be found in The Museum of Hull and East Riding (and my previous posts).
