@not-so-smallfry The time had finally come. A whopping 24 whole hours as requested and dogmatically adhered to. Feferi gets a message requesting she report to the transportalyzer in clothing suitable for being in public without needing to impress.

Sollux for his part is just milling about in the aforementioned room anyways. His attire had only changed in that the usual shirt had been replaced with an almost identical version that buttoned at the collar. It didn't exactly take a lot of preparation to punch in coordinates ahead of time. Now he just had to wait for the thudding.

Sollux grumbles something about different circumstances back then and shuffles off after her. Fef's sauntering was something of an area of effect affair, other passerby creating a wake for her as they avoided each mighty hip swing. Sollux was in tune with it luckily, walking to avoid getting clobbered without having to stand 10 feet away.

"c0uld be fun. never seen you yet. have t0 get that before y0u only fl0at! show s0unds go0d to me th0ugh. i've got n0 idea when this place closes but i imagine we'll be off t0 eat before it's dark anyways."

Back they went out to the sunlight and a series of large outdoor pools overlooking the actual ocean. A show must have just been starting given the crowds taking seats. The metal benches looked a little... Insufficient. Luckily most people had chosen to sit higher up, back behind a yellow line painted across the stands. The seats in front of it were simply raised concrete. Sollux points them out.

"damn, like they knew we'd be c0ming. wonder what's with the line."

A human was talking up something about the wonders of whales and dolphins, the former got a snicker out of Sollux but he had no idea what a dolphin was supposed to be. Guess they'd find out.

Blinking away the light, Fefs enthusiasm only redoubles once she sees the pool, nodding as sollux points out the concrete tiers.

"I dunno, but let's go!" She bubbles, grabbing his hand and hustling over to the watery amphitheater, practically dragging the poor psionic

The presence of the concrete tiers was fortunate, but even then they were barely adequate- had anyone been seated behind feferi on the next one up her butt almost certainly would be engulfing their legs

It was a wake Sollux was glad to be towed in. While he was not so 'lucky' as anyone behind Feferi might've been, he did have an excellent seat at her side by the pronounced curve of her padded hips. Though he had to lean forward sometimes to see past the swell of her thighs and get a look at the far side of the show pool.

The human presenter gave a theatrical wave to the crowd and implored them to welcome the star of the show, someone called 'Mushu' as they jumped back into the water. A short moment later they resurfaced rapidly, propelled high into the air in a great wave of water atop the snout of a large orca whale, said wave easily escaping the bounds of the pool toward the splash zone the two trolls were seated in.

Feferi was practically vibrating as the show began, giddy for maritime tomfoolery. Clapping girlishly at the appearance of the maritime predator, she leaned over to whisper to sollux with the glee of someone pointing out an especially ridiculous puppy

"Ohhh! Glub it's like a mini slayf-"

any gushing about murderous alternian mammals was washed away in the slamming wall of water, drenching the pair and leaving fefs hair falling in thick curtains around sollux and herself.

After a few moments of surprised silence, fed starts giggling, bubbling bemusement wracking her body while she drips, pulling her hair out of her eyes and looking over her companion to see how he fared

"Whale that glub explains the line hehe!!"
