but then he meets this hedge knight from the middle of buttfuck nowhere who is just so sweet and in love and pretty and obvious about his feelings for Baelor, and it's just. shit now you gotta confront your internalized homophobia

READ! my biggest advice is READ AS MANY DARN BOOKS AS YOU CAN. I read like a crazy person, Pay attention to the writing you like, why do you like it? What do you think works about it?

My writing style is greatly influenced by the works of Neil Gaiman (Sorry, I read him a lot growing up...) & Terry Pratchett, Rick Riordan, Susannah Clarke, N.K. Jemisin and many others.
