YJ RP : Back on the Job
Roy was knelt down on a ledge, steadying his bow. He only had one shot at this, so he had to make it count. He aimed for a low window at the bank, with a tear gas arrow- homemade of course. If this worked, it was gonna make taking down this bank heist a lot easier on him. He was only one guy after all.
The redhead was startled by the unmistakeable sound of a flapping cape. He didn’t even have to turn to identify his companion, he’d know those carefully stifled footsteps anywhere. His voice stuck for a moment, after a month it was hard to know what to say. “Aren’t you a little far from the nest, Robin?” He teased, turning to face his friend.
“I thought the lone wolf might want a little help.” Robin responded with a friendly smile. The boy stepped out of the shadows, moving to the ledge of the building beside Roy. “I mean, I don’t doubt that you can handle it…but it’s always nice to have backup isn’t it?” He glanced to Roy, arching a brow behind his mask.
“I’m definitley not going to complain.” Roy replied with a grin. “Looks like the standard set up, 3 goons, 8 hostages.. and these guys aren’t professional, they’re sloppy, I think this is their first job.” He glanced down at the window, thinking again. “I was gonna smoke ‘em out, think you can handle any stragglers?”
Robin grinned over at Roy before standing, his hand sliding behind his back to grab for his grappling hook. “Yeah, I think I can handle that.” He laughed at Roy before shooting off his hook. “We’ll keep in touch by radio. When they’re all down, I’m going in for the hostages.” He said with a soft nod before shooting off his hook and swinging into the shadows.
Roy readied his bow once more, grinning to himself like a fool now as he switched on his comm. “I’m in position now, I’m letting her fly.” He radioed to Robin before taking aim and releasing. The arrow flew like a charm, shattering the window and releasing it’s catch. Once the redhead saw the smoke filtering through the broken window he touched his comm again. “And it’s showtime.”
“Copy that.” Robin said into the comm, reaching up to adjust the lenses on his mask to red for body heat through the smoke. He watched as one of the goons stumbled out of the shop, only to go down due to one of Roy’s netted arrows. “Nice shot.”
The archer smirked to himself from his high perch above the action, reloading an arrow. "You've got company Rob, 2o'clock." He warned his teammate as he maneuvered into position. Dick was graceful as ever as he took down the two goons headed his way, the poor slobs probably never knew what hit them. Roy picked off a few more stragglers headed out the back door of building before radioing in again. "I'm headed down to you to do a last sweep, but I think we're good." Roy vaulted over the lip of the roof to land on some storage bins below.
