Strauss getting a call from the doctor explaining her stomach flu isn't a stomach flu but a mini rossi nine months in the making.

Watching one of the episodes in season 10 and seeing Rossi talk to a senior cop about his drinking, really give me a glimpse of what he was like in private when he was supporting Erin. He spoke to the local cop with patience and understanding. How he understood that he drank because of the guilt of being unable to find the killer, innocent lives being lost and families suffering, the stress of trying to fix everything. However drinking wasn't the best course of action and people depend on him for support. It was a mistake but did not make him a bad person and it was best to sober up. If a local sheriff crumbles under light pressure like that, you can only imagine the stress Strauss was feeling. Especially dealing with a team who catches serial killers and is constantly undermining her authority. I'm sure Rossi had to be a listening ear for Erin a few times, and it saddens me that we never got to see those vulnerable moments between Strauss and Rossi.

I don't understand why Strauss started drinking in the episode the self fulfilling prophesy. I didn't see any indicators she was drinking. Was she a bit out of character, yes, but given she is a mother I'm sure she would feel passionate about solving this case that deals with dead kids. How parents lend their trust to these institutions, and for them to fail at keeping the kids safe is unspeakable. Her drive behind this case could comes from her own maternal instincts and personal feelings. It's a mother who feels angry that the school let this stuff happen to these kids. The writers didn't want her to be emotional or angry unless she drunk? That's so dumb. Watching that episode i did not get a hint of her drinking. I thought she was mad at the incompetence of the school and it's headmaster. Thus explaining her outbursts.

as cringe inducing as the season finale of season 8 is, Jayne Atkinson really put on the performance of her life when erin was dying of a drug overdose, its truly some of the best acting in the freaking show

Looking at the Rossi tag is so concerning because i get bombarded with some really huge anti rossi posts. I think I'll stay in the mostly empty Strossi or Erin Strauss tag. Yes the tag is mostly me posting but its much calmer. Did not know Rossi was a controversial character. I thought he was generally well liked.

Well Rossi isnt gonna blurt out that he is doing Strauss to his team haha. He has to play it cool, and his team is really weird and they're haters when it comes to Erin for some odd reason. I mean from what we see her girls are blondes and her boy was a brunette, do with that what you may...

Just found the episode where Rossi explains how he met and married Krystall. And wow, he did not sound like he loved her at all. He even made fun of her name. Their marriage literally lasted one day, and yet the writers want to look us in the eye and say she was the great love of his life. I know i shouldn't dislike krystall as a character but its hard not to when she feels sloppy. It is similar to making a random unsub a part of the team, just because. Which would be an annoying and stupid idea, you shouldn't do it. Or making random city cop a new member of the team who's known everyone on the team, past and present, since season one. Maybe I'll just stick to the previous seasons.

I think the writers really intended the Rossi and Strauss relationship since season three. I know Joe and Jayne's acting is so phenomenal, that the chemistry was just off the charts. But i do believe the seeds were always there. I do like the little nudge they gave us in season five. Strauss turned off the recorder while arguing with Rossi, it felt like she didn't want her argument with her boyfriend on the record.

I know i probably post about the same three things but Strauss had very little screen time and the writers gave us practically nothing. There are going to be repeats

Rossi knowing that Strauss has struggled her whole life with alcoholism and knew about her rehab, means their relationship was at least two years. She got sent to rehab in the first half of season 7 and died in the season 8 finale which is basically season 9. They spent a lot of time together and were very close. She wouldn't confide that information to just anyone, Erin is a very guarded and tough woman. The only people who knew about her drinking were the ones who sent her to rehab, Hotch and Morgan. Rossi knew which means she told him and given their history, he most likely was supporting her through that ordeal. She tells him about her life long problem with alcohol and how it affected her family, remember she died and his first thought was her kids will be upset at her for drinking again. She told Dave she was a sponsor, that's very personal information. We can assume Rossi also confided deeply personal information to her as well, which is why her death hit him hard. Maybe he talked about James death, or how Caroline decided to die in his arms. Theres more i could say but I'm rambling.

Me when i see the criminal minds writers and i go off on them for killing Strauss, and making Rossi suffer.
