Honestly, the really gay dbz fans who ship goku x vegeta are way more enjoyable to talk to than the die-hard fans who want Goku to solo every universe and cheat on Chi-chi with every woman in the series.

I've seen many users who are likely aware treating Goku x Chichi and Vegeta x Bulma like it's the weirdly polyamrous seeming relationship dynamics of the loony toons show* is silly. But these people are definitely having more fun with the series than the fans who take the series too seriously (and probably haven't watched it)

To me, the point of Dragon Ball is to have fun with it and not take it too seriously so the goofy shippers are definitely winning in that regard!

*not classic loony toons, the loony toons show. They're different.

HARVEST MOON: PRIDE PARADE RELEASE V0.2b (update)

Finally! A mod to let you marry your favorite same-sexed Bachelors and Bachelorettes in Harvest Moon: Animal Parade for the Nintendo Wii!

This mod replaces the Male playable character models with the Female ones and vice-versa.

FEATURES:

Play as a ‘guy’ and marry the Man of Your Dreams, or play as a ‘girl‘ and marry your one and only Best Girl.

All outfits have been swapped, so changing out of the default outfit shouldn’t break anything.

Graphics for stamina bar and map screen have also been replaced.

Dialog for bachelor and bachelorette heart events, marriage, and childbirth have been re-tooled to fit.

Game Title ID changed from RBIEE9 to CBIEE9 to be compatible with GameTDB integrations. (Thanks, @sgibbz​!)

Dolphin replacement texture pack to fix Logo and Load Screen Character Portraits. (Temporary solution until I can edit those TPL files reliably)

WHAT’S NEW:

Nothing has changed other than the inclusion of Patch v0.2b. This alternative patch should correct the issue that many people have run into when attempting to install the mod. Please try version B if the original patch did not work for you.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

(windows) xdeltaUI

(mac) multipatch

the patch (see above)

An .iso of Harvest Moon: Animal Parade for Wii (I can’t provide a download link.)

HOW TO INSTALL:

Run multipatch(mac) or xdelta UI(windows) (the screen both give you should basically be the same)

Select your patch file that you downloaded where it asks for a patch file

For “source file” or “file to patch”, select your Animal Parade .iso file

Choose the location/filename to save it as. Anything is fine as long as it ends in .iso

Run the patcher!

The file that it spits out is playable immediately!

For the dolphin pack:

Unzip the folder you downloaded to your Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Load\Textures\CBIEE9 folder

In Dolphin’s “Graphic” settings window, click on the “Advanced” tab

Check “Load Custom Textures”

KNOWN ISSUES:

I’ve gotten reports that the mod may not work on an actual modded Wii. I will look into this, but finishing the mod first is my main objective.

All animations are still tied to the ‘original’ gender.

Some of the dialogue/text has not been changed, such as some events and the names and descriptions of the outfits.

Children may still refer to you by the wrong name (i.e. “mom” for the male character). I think I’ve figured out how to fix it, but haven’t implemented it yet.

This version still contains the awkward, unfinished version of Julius’s rival heart event. I apologize for this.

The hate for Steven Universe from the target demographic gives me the ick because I'm not perfect, and I can't write a perfect story... But I want to make stories that appeal to that same audience with themes around disability justice, healing from trauma, and queer characters, but I know I'd never be perfect enough? Like I see people demanding perfection from a regular old flawed human who's story is naturally gonna have flaws and I :(

Also, it's weird that the old white guys who make stories don't get nearly as much hate.
