A wrong turn lead me to a field of flowers and suddenly I’m second guessing every wrong turn in my life.
Every wrong turn has lead me to where I am currently, and I am happy as hell, so were they really wrong turns?

They say that the kids that smoke weed are the kids to stay away from. They say that the kids who drink alcohol are bad news. They say the kids who have had sex are a disgrace. They say that the kids who cut themselves are weird and to stay away. They say the anorexic girls are faking and attention whores. They say that this generation is so screwed up but fail to remember that they were the ones who raised the girls and boys that got into these things because we were never taught how to properly deal with our emotions. We found our own way to escape because we felt we had no other option, because we are too afraid of the ones who raised us to ask for help. We want to have a thrill and don’t know how to do that without breaking the laws and getting intoxicated because we were taught that late night parties with loud obnoxious adults and heavy amounts of booze was what our parents and relatives liked. The media taught us what to look and what our emotions should be like, not our parents. We were drilled with images of skinny girls and pretty faces being all that matters while our parents watch on from the distance halfheartedly cheering for us to “be ourselves”. What if we don’t know what ourselves is because every idea we have put out had been shut down by someone? What if we feel like we are alone in this world. We shouldn’t be afraid of these “bad” kids, we should be afraid of the society that raised them.

It means the only thing keeping you from being happy is the belief that you are alone.
