Can someone add context to all of this? I dont follow hank green closely
A few years ago Hank Green put out a video about knitting where he was extremely condiscending about it, and clearly demonstrated that he doesn't understand how important it has been throughout history. Many people rightly accused him of expressing a subconscious misogynistic bias.
A short time after that he put out a video on HRT that ingolved several transmasc people, but didn't so much as consult a single transfeminine person about feminizing HRT. As a result the information it put out about feminizing HRT was not just wrong but severelt dangerous. If anyone followed the advice in the video they would have developed osteoporosis.
After both of these scandals his "appologies" were extremely milktoast. In the case of the HRT video it was barely existant. As he just put out an "apology" letter in the chat portion of SciShow's youtube channel. A section most people don't even know exists. And in both cases the "apology" basically just amounted to "woopsie! Sometimes we get things wrong *shrug.*"
Recently his videos have been drawing a lot of criticism from people who've noticed that they seem like they're written by AI. And just this week Hank Green admitted that he uses it heavily, and that he may be addicted to it.
it's nice how at any time you can pour a glass of water on one of your bird friends so then there's wet bird.
i can and should actually. it's enrichment for them.
oh my fucking god who cares about men who caresssssss
shut upppppppppppppp
what a funny and silly post. surely op is normal about marginalized men and has a basic understanding of intersectionality ❤️
hey fuck you, buddy. there is no marginalization of men as men for any other axis of oppression to intersect with. you are weaponizing a word that you don't know how to use correctly in service of an idea that its definition contradicts. you look & sound not just like an asshole, but also a moron
eat a bowl of shit and die you condescending fuck
The way people run up going "OH yeah? Well what about marginalized men? Surely that means misandry is real now!" Convinces me that they are the exact person that would go "Anti-white sentiment is real if you account for white people within marginalized groups. Blanco-phobia is a real axis of oppression!"
you notice how only one person in this reblog chain is deactivated? and it's not the one insinuating that men like him are oppressed? curious. I wonder what kind of intersectional forces could be at play to deactivate the transfem instead.
a lot of transmisogynists like to say that the rape- and pedojacketing of trans women is somehow deserved/happening because of their kinkposting, but as a trans woman who doesn’t kinkpost on tumblr I still get rapejacketed so I think it’s more to do with the “trans woman” part
and to be clear: I am always on the side of kinkposting trans women. I will stand with my sisters. Nobody deserves to be treated the way these losers treat us.
every time someone tags this “transphobia” and not “transmisogyny” it summons an involuntary eye roll from me that registers on seismometers worldwide

"trans inclusive misogyny" is a great example of an ingroup joke you shouldn't brag about on tumblr
maybe your tgirl friends specifically are okay with it. but i promise you, convincing strangers to get on board with it is not a look you want. you really, really don't want that.

it turns out that leaving the norepinephrine producer on for longer produces more norepinephrine, who would have guessed?

ok hello. i'm not a huge fan of social media, but i've felt really inspired by some homestuck art recently, so i decided to do the brave thing and maybe share some of my own art with people who could like it too. this is quite an old piece, i'm going to post my older works as a start,,,, i hope it's a good idea
Take that's probably gonna get me yelled at: I'd be really interested to see how many trans men would still identify with queer womanhood if the word "lesbian" didn't exist. Like if they had to call themselves "gay women" or something like that. Because I, for one, have never seen a trans women who doesn't hate herself identify with the label of "man," gay or otherwise. I just feel like "lesbian" is seen as linguistically flexible enough to accommodate the men who want to make it theirs.
1) If you're going to use quotation marks, don't alter my words in them. It's dishonest.
2) I never claimed to know shit about anyone's gender.
3) That's not what exorsexism is. I'm not talking about nonbinary identities. I'm talking about trans men. Using that as a gotcha kind of makes it sound like you think trans men aren't men. Which you don't think, obviously, because that's pretty blatant transphobia.
4) Again. Not talking about butches, who I specifically said can be masc. That includes transmasculine butches. Not the same thing as men.
5) That history is exactly what we're talking about here. Historically, trans women have been excluded from lesbianism (an orientation based around attraction to women and non-men by women and non-men) and trans men have been included. Do you think, perhaps, it might be a little bit of a problem if people who specifically identify as men are welcome in lesbian spaces while a certain type of woman is excluded? Have I painstakingly explained myself well enough for you to listen to what a woman has to say about her own community and identity, or are you just going to continue putting words in her mouth?
