Vent:
This isn't my usual type of post, but I need this off my chest. I am so exhausted of people making decisions for me. As though I am not a competent and accomplished adult.
For a man to decide that i am primarily a sex object, to then turn around and remove himself from my life because others have seen me as he does? Fuck. Fuck! There is wrath in me. The kind to rival the ocean.
To suddenly decide that I am not worth pursuing. That, all of a sudden, it would be a wicked thing to find himself interested in me. For what? Because it is unthinkable to touch something damaged? Because I am spoiled goods?
My wants, suddenly, are irrelevant. As all woman's opinions eventually become irrelevant. As our desires become obsolete. It is 2026, why does a man get to decide what i can handle? Where do they get the idea that I, a sex trafficking survivor, cannot feel lust or desire? Who are they to demand a boundary they were very happy not to have before?
This, dearest, is beyond unfair. It is unfeminist, infantalising, and demanding of a performance of victimhood. A perversion of the madonna whore complex.
To say it, completely. To scream it into the world so it will stop sitting so heavy on my heart.
I am a sex trafficking survivor. I am a human being. I have lust, and desire. I both want and enjoy sex. I have the right and ability to say how much I can handle, and where I need to stop. And taking these decisions from me, deciding I must be treated delicately, is truly just a demand for me to perform victimhood and trauma in a way that is to your liking. It is unfeminist, and dehumanising.
I am a human. I have desire. It is for me to decide my boundaries.
You have permission to reblog. I know it is not only me that feels like this.

Irma Komlósy (Czech, 1850-1919): Hares in a Field of Sunflowers (via Dorotheum)
Post-canon post-reunion post-reuinion-sex. Dean takes Cas out in the Impala for a drive for the first time since he got back a year after he was taken. Before Dean starts the engine he hesitates and gets a little shy and defensively says "don't laugh at me, okay? I need them." and he pulls a pair of plastic framed glasses out of his jacket front pocket and puts them on.
Cas does not stop staring at him, which Dean can only handle up to the first stop light. There's an heated blush on his face when he barks:
"Quit the surveillance Big Brother. Something wrong with my face?"
"You've aged."
"Jesus."
"It's a compliment. Your resourcefulness and resilience have allowed you to live past the time you were intended to by fate."
"You need to go back to charm school, Thermopolis. 'You've aged' is never a friggin compliment."
"It is. You've aged, and you're taking care of yourself."
There's a touch, light, to the side of Dean's face, tracing gently up under the gap of his glasses to caress his crows feet.
"Cas!" Dean complains, "I'm driving!" But he doesn't push his hand away.
"You're growing," Cas continues, sliding a long finger over Dean's eyebag, "You've lived." He taps the leg of Dean's glasses as he withdraws, adding, "You have defied God."
Dean tries very hard to follow the logic, feeling his face screw up as he does, but he's got nothing. "Huh?"
"Chuck's design for humans was faulty, amateur. There was much he did not account for. In creating the means to live, and live well, with the body you have been given, humanity has proven its superiority to God himself."
Dean scoffs, feeling a little shy again, "It's just glasses, Cas."
"The product of thousands of years of innovation. The work of thousands of people across millenia." Cas pauses for a moment, then asks, a touch breathless, "Can I tell you what I like to imagine?"
"Uh, sure?"
"I like to imagine, when I think of the work of other humans across all of time, that they were doing it all in service of you."
Considering this, Dean lets a Jeep turn onto the road in front of him. "Is it like a sex thing?"
"It's not a sex thing. It is the placement of my desire for you over the will of thousands. My love supercedes their true intentions, their ambitions, their circumstances. I am reappropriating their care to act as a vessel for the depth of my feelings for you."
"Hm. Sounds like a sex thing."
"It is not a sex thing."
"Okay, tell me this, then," Dean says, turning to face Cas at the next red light, "Do you or do you not want me to wear the glasses next time I suck you off?"
"...yes, I do want that."
"I rest my case. And hey - just a tip, from one flirt to another. Next time you want to bring up your hot librarian fantasy, or whatever, don't start by calling the other person old."
"It's not a librarian fantasy, it's a you fantasy."
"Yeah, yeah. Not like I haven't got you-fantasies of my own. How about this: I'll wear just the glasses if you wear just the trench coat."
"I think I could be persuaded," Cas says, and he's smiling, and Dean's smiling, and when he catches a glimpse of his own smile-lines in the rear-view mirror magnified through his glasses, he thinks maybe he gets it. They made it. They're alive. There's proof of it.

✖ spell & curse breaking ✖
methods for negating spells you have cast:
destroy the physical representation of the spell i.e. if your spell was contained within a jar, break the jar and dispose of the pieces
disassemble the spell and cleanse each component individually
place item in a bath of sea salt and dried herbs that are associated with cleansing and banishing - leave overnight and disassemble the spell when finished
cleanse the item with moon or rain water and disassemble if applicable
place the item in a black box to negate its effects
bury the item for 3 days, retrieve it, then dispose of it
bury the item on the night of the full moon and retrieve it at the next new moon
create a sigil or written incantation with the intent of breaking the spell and place the item on top of the paper - leave in place overnight
create a written incantation that includes the details of the spell - bury, burn, drown, rip apart, or throw it away
light a black candle that is surrounded by sea salt while focusing on the intent of negating the spell - recite an incantation if you wish, and allow the candle to burn down; sweep the sea salt out your back door
breaking spells others have cast upon you and protecting yourself:
perform a “return to sender” spell - find a black taper candle; turn it upside down; cut the tip off and leave the wick in place; carve “return to sender” and the target’s name (or a description of them) into the candle; light the candle upside down and let it burn down completely
leave a witch bottle outside of your home - it should contain items like: pins, needles, broken glass (to shred their negative intentions towards you); your name and the names of those who may be affected by this negative energy plus an incantation for protection (e.g. your loved ones, pets, anyone who lives in your home); and lemon juice, lime juice, or sea salt (to purify their negative energy so that it may not get to you)
create a mixture of charcoal, chili powder, and garlic powder - sprinkle around the perimeter of your home to stop a spell in its tracks
alternately, you may combine these ingredients, add to a hollow pendant, and wear on your person to protect you from the effects of a spell
if you know the details of the spell that has been placed on you, write them down on paper; while focusing on breaking the spell, hold the paper in your hand, and then rip it to shreds; throw the pieces in the trash, or bury in your backyard
if you don’t know the exact details, write down the effects you have been feeling if you think they have been caused by a spell or malintent directed at you; follow the steps above
submerge yourself in a bath of sea salt and light frankincense incense - place the incense on the edge of the tub or somewhere safe in your bathroom - to cleanse yourself of any negative energy that has been directed at you
place an energetic shield over yourself or your home that is designed to negate negative energy
tips:
close all loopholes
when crafting a spell, remember to create a fail safe (e.g. “this spell will be broken if X occurs”)
add timed conditions to your spells (e.g. “this spell will be broken on the night of the next full moon” and include a specific date)
be specific when describing the target that will be affected by the spell (whether it’s you or someone else, be sure to include taglocks whether it be their name written or spoken aloud, DNA such as hair, fingernail clippings, etc., or a photo of the target)
use ingredients, supplies, and tools that match your intent
employ a method of protection before casting spells, whether the intent is malefic or not
cleanse your space and tools before and after performing a spell to “wipe the slate clean”

*whispers* (I’m whispering because it’s very important that we keep this very low key)
hey, you know that ancient grimoire you’ve been searching for but can’t get shipped to your country, is probably on Anna’s Archives. Yeah… you could download it for free… pretty much any text you can think of regardless of how old it is, it’s probably on there… give it a little searchy search and you’ll probably find the entire book for free… just saying.
Having a hard copy is always nice. But when I’m trying to figure out if a grimoire is worth dumping money on… it’s always nice to have a little free trial,…
just saying ….
Graveyard etiquette from a cranky traditional witch:
-Leave shit at the gate (coins, cigarettes, eggs, flowers)
-If alone go in silence, if with others speak in a hushed tone
-Wear a hat or head covering to prevent possession or bringing home unwanted spirits.
-Bring bells and/or rattles to wake the dead if desired
-Smoking in the graveyard or carrying a flame is an easy way to get the attention of the dead at night.
-Bring a knife or object made of iron should things get hairy (always bring a knife). Canes are also excellent tools for working with the dead
-have a way of gathering occult materia without being noticed by people or spirits (invisibility charms work best)
-If you're bringing spirits home with you (intentionally), don't turn around until you're across the threshold of your home
-Upon leaving the cemetery, say a prayer for the dead and wild things that inhabitant there
-When home, spread white powder (flower, salt, ect...) at the door to keep unwanted spirits out. A colander over a key hole works too.

Some little things I've learned over a decade of witchcraft:
If you are feel called to work but are tired/drained, sit outside. Take in all the energies around you. Nature can help charge you
Every witch does a little bit of a bunch of types of magic but sticks mainly to one or two in general. You usually won't be eclectic forever. You'll find what magics work best with you.
Never be lazy or cut corners with spirits. Always be respectful and always tell them to leave when you're done
When you see a plant or ingredient with a long list of properties, there are different things at play. Season of collection, the part of the plant, the health of the plant, etc all play a role in impacting which properties it will carry.
Don't call on spirits unless you have confidence and control
Be careful with sea/water magic. Get into it gently and slowly until you have the energy figured out because it can get out of hand quickly.
Adding a little pinch of magic into your breakfast can make a major difference in your day.
Your personal emotions/feelings over something will impact a work
Planting some plants is good, not only to have a garden, but the dirt helps cleanse you too. Get all dirty and muddy. It's good for ya
Not all trees are nice
The more you listen to your intuition, the easier it will be to tell it apart from your anxieties and worries
Incense is very easy to make which is why it's usually cheap to buy. But you can find a million tutorials online on how to make your own personal incense which is great if you want a spell to take effect over a while but also want to infuse the fire energy in it.
The more you work with something the better feel you get for it. Cinnamon goes in almost everything i cook and most of my spells because me and cinnamon just get right along
Your path is yours and no one else's. It will look like yours and no one else's
