ever loquacious, thomas downed the rest of the burning liquid in his cup and promptly followed after alexander, a spring in his step and that annoyingly cocksure smirk plastered on his lips. his cup was filled and emptied within a matter of minutes, but of course he filled it up once more before returning to their previous residence, sipping proudly on his drink. it always was fun to irritate him so.
Alexander watched Thomas carefully as he paced. He had grown quiet suddenly which was TYPICALLY not a good sign from him. The young man was debating how much longer he had to stay here until it was POLITE to leave. His eyes glanced over the other male. He rolls his eyes at that IDIOTIC smirk on the other’s face.

John’s comments manage to get a GRIN out of Hamilton. “Thanks.” He says with a bit of a dry laugh. “I’d love to fight him, too bad he’s too much of a COWARD to even dare to face someone.” He states, almost bitterly. Burr would do ANYTHING to avoid conflict with Alexander.

cue annoyingly loud, obnoxious laughter at his admittedly shitty joke. it was some kind of miracle that alexander hasn’t smacked the grin off his features yet– the man clearly had the patience, or control, of a saint. he took another drink from his nearly-empty cup and sat back on his hands, quite happy to just grin at the other as annoyingly as possible.
Alexander leans back as he glances down at his EMPTY cup. He would need a LOT more alcohol to deal with Thomas’ bullshit. It was taking most of his WILLPOWER not to hurt him as dearly as he WANTED to. Eliza and Washington had both told him not to stir TROUBLE, despite it finding him anyways. “I’m getting another drink.” He states as he stands, leaving the other man for a few moments.

She felt as if there was always a smile tugging on her lips nowadays; she had every reason to be ELATED, between her beloved being by her side & the child they were expecting. & yet STILL her lips pulled into a brighter smile as she curled into her Alexander. ❛ I’m well, of course– I pray I am not the cause of worry to you now; we are fine & well. ❜ A hand rested gently on the supple swell of her belly, out of habit despite her relaxed frame as it took the a fraction of the growing pressure off her back as she stood.
Alexander noticed the smile that seemed to just make his dear Elias RADIATE with happiness. His own smile grew to blossom onto his face, a rare sight since the man was more often stressed as of late. “You don’t worry me at all, dearest. I just pray for a safe journey for you two.” He says before leaning down to KISS the top of his wife’s head. His hand moved down to rest against her growing stomach and as well hold his BELOVED’S hand.

Alexander watches Eliza settle into their shared bed, the slight BUMP showing under her dress causing him to grin to himself. He pulls her close to his chest, a hand running through her dark hair. “How are you doing, love?” He asks her, voice SOFT for once. Hamilton’s mind seemed almost at EASE for once.
