see anon, we like to have fun here
Yeah most of the time I don't know what's going on, but it looks cool
but at the same time, Bart you might want to be careful...
[[ooc: drinks responsibly]]
Bart raced through the tower to find Rose, after he had just got the idea to take Rose somewhere, after he heard that Kon was taking Tim to Hawaii. When he finally found her, Bart grinned. “Would you like to go on a little bit of a roadtrip? Well not exactly a road trip but you get it.” He asked, hopefully. notesfromrosewilson
Rose looked up from her computer with a perked eyebrow and peeked interest. “Where did you have in mind babe?” She ran a hand through her hair, pretty much up for anything adventurous. “You know I’m up for anything that’ll get me out of this boring building. It’s not like there’s anything else to do.”
Bart grins to her. “You may wanna change. It may get a bit hot. I suggest a t-shirt or tank top and some shorts. Definitely gym shoes. And, er, maybe a machete for wacking at the scenery.” He informs her and runs out of her room and appears almost as quick as he left in a red sleeveless shirt and some white gym shorts with red Nike’s. “Ready when you are, babe!” He exclaimed, giddy with excitement.
Rose laughed from her chest. “Alright alright, you’re always in such a hurry.” Rose quickly pulled off her sweatpants and changed into something cooler. She laced up her boots and quickly, though no where near as fast Bart, grabbed the machete that she kept in her closet, along with other weapons that she didn’t use that often. The very idea that she’d go anywhere without a sword of some sort was just plain laughable, and she actually outwardly snorted at that. “So where are you taking me?”
Bart smiled as he waited on Rose. She really made him happy, just by being in his presence. “So where are you taking me?” Rose asked and Bart stepped forward. “Where am I taking you? Ohdon’tyouworry!” He said quickly then scooped her up like a princess. “Cover your eyes,” Bart informed her. “It’s a surprise!” and he raced down to the steps of Titans tower to the steps leading up the island. “You ready?” Bart questioned, one eye brow raised and grinning.
Rose closed her eyes, feeling herself get comfortable in Bart’s arms. She could get used to this; he was easy to trust and it made her want to open up even if it didn’t make it any easier. “It’s a good thing I trust you,” she smirked, even without seeing him and secretly hoped that she wouldn’t get dizzy from Bart’s running like she sometimes did, she was supposed to be a smooth operator and the notion of her vomiting on his shoes didn’t sound smooth at all. “Yeah of course I’m ready, eyes are still closed and everything.”
“Ready? Alright. Then away we go!” He said and darted off into the ocean-or rather onto- and ran across the water. He remembered the map he forced himself too stare at for a long time and quickly took a turn. He ran onto the sandy shore and skidded to a halt at the sudden tree line. “Rose…open your eyes…You can now say that you’ve been to the Amazon.” Bart tells her with a grin while slowly and gently letting her down onto her feet.
Rose bent her knees, getting used to the ground again. Slowly opened her eyes, blinking back the liquid that had come from the wind irritating her eyes. The girl grinned up at Bart. “Kid, you impress. You really do.” She glanced around for a moment and beamed at everything. “Alright, let’s explore or something.” She said, one hand on the machete attached to her hip and the other pulling Bart into the forest.
He impressed her? ALRIGHT, I IMPRESSED HER. Alright, act cool… “I try.” Bart shrugged, jumping on the inside. She took him into the forest, and Bart intertwined his hand with hers, and kept a pace with Rose, looking at everything around them and trying not to get hit by the sword. “This is amazing! Maybe I shouldn’t run fast though. I may hit a tree root and twist my ankle or something, then we’d be stranded…” Bart explained, thinking out loud.
Rose stopped in her tracks. She wasn’t going to lie, the idea that she might be stuck in the middle of the rain forest nursing Bart back to health after an injury was both appealing and horrifying. It would have been an adventure, and that’s what she wanted. Day in and out with nothing but training and occasional computer games wasn’t her idea of fun. Even drinking had its limits when it came to entertainment. “Don’t worry, you’ll be fine.” She dragged out the letter I and winked at the boy. Rose did take it slower from then on though. “Do you think anyone else is here?”
“Anyone else? Well, can’t say ‘Amazonians’ because they’re all in Themyscira…” Bart mumbled and looked around. “Probably not. Lotsa’ animal’s though!” He told her, and continued to walk. “Like Piranha’s!” He quickly exclaimed, and mocked the girl from Finding Nemo saying, ” ‘I’m a Piranha! I live in the Amazon!’ Man, I knew watching movies would help one day…” He grinned at his own corniness and quickly stopped.
Rose laughed and rolled her eyes, patting Bart’s cheek a little rougher than intended. “You’re silly, I have no idea where that’s from.” she said tightly, cutting a vine without taking her eyes off of him. “Did you want to go harass some piranha?” she asked, walking without looking in front. Something to her right hissed at her, causing her to flinch. ‘Animals Rose, don’t forget that they’re here too.’
“It’s from Finding Nemo, silly.” He replied, squeezing her hand after she tapped his face. “I’d rather stay away from the piranha’s. I’d prefer not to get a foot taken off in one bite. Already have a fake knee, don’t want a foot, too.” Bart rambled. “Watch out for all animals.” He reminded her, when he felt her flinch. He leaned over and kissed her cheek to calm her. “Don’t worry.”
Rose raised an eyebrow but allowed Bart to be overly gentle with her. “I wasn’t worried. Are you doing to protect me?” She raised an eyebrow half in challenge and half out of curiosity, but her fierceness died down quickly. “I’ll have to watch that movie with you sometime then.” Rose quickened her pace and let go of Bart’s hand absentmindedly.
Nervously and embarrassingly, Bart stopped and rubbed his head. “Nononono, I mean, I could try. But I’m sure you could take out whatever comes your way before I could—And this is coming from someone who can travel at almost light speed.” He said, then zipped up to Rose to match her pace. “I was just to get you to remain calm…but you look worried. Whatisit?” Bart spat out, as he looked back and fourth between her face, the ground to make sure he didn’t trip, forward to see the oncoming branches, and back to her.
“It’s nothing, but of all people you know I don’t need protection. Also relax, you were less nervous around me before all the kissing and I don’t want that to change.” Rose moved away branches and trudged on. “And another thing…” she trailed off, hiding behind a tree as she looked into a clearing where a bunch of men were carrying the carcass of a dead tiger. Rose tightened her grip on her machete. ‘Way to ruin my day.’ she thought annoyed.
Bart zipped up to Rose only to see a tiger being dragged by mean. “Poachers…Ew.” He then looked at Rose. “Alright, time to get back at them for killing this jungle cat.” Bart said and darted off. In the blink of an eye, the tiger was gone, to an unknown location to everyone else, but Bart had ran it off to a deserted, small island. He ran back as the men were out of sight from Rose and Bart. “That’s what they get…” He mumbled.
Rose smiled at Bart and kissed his forehead. She did not like seeing animals be hurt, and in a weird way this kind of heroism was just fine for Bart to do. “Come on, you lead the way. Find us some place cool, and maybe I little less dense. These crazy branches are really annoying.”
“Glad you brought the machete, eh?” He said, and grinned as she kissed him. They walked through the forest and found an empty patch of shade, under large tree’s where no animals seemed to be. “How about right here?” Bart asked and smiled. It was a nice spot, and there was a lot of shade anyway. If anything came at them, Rose would take them down, or Bart could have them in the North Pole in a minute, so he wasn’t worried.
Rose walked over to where Bart was and leaned against the tree. They were both quiet for a moment and they could hear the sounds of the rain forest around them. It was nice to say the least. Rose looked at her speedster for a moment and smiled. “Thanks” she broke the silence, unsure if she was thanking him for the thing with the tiger or if she was just thanking him in general.
As Rose went next to him, Bart took her hand in his, intertwining their fingers. When she said thanks, he looked at her all puzzled. “Why’re you thanking me? I didn’t do anything but take away that tiger from the poachers.” He mumbled to her, and slid down the tree, to sit down. “Youseemupset, what’swrong?” Bart quickly spat out.
Rose laughed, no surprise there of course because Bart was always making her laugh even if it was unintentional. “No whoa there, calm down. It’s just nice to get away, or maybe I’m tired? We’ve been running drills and doing paroles all week, not to mention I have my own projects going on. I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m just speaking out of a sleep deprived haze or whatever, but the thanks is for getting me away from all that. Sometimes it’s good to get away. I forget that too much though.” She smiled and punched Bart’s arm playfully. “And you reminded me.”
Bart laughed a bit as she punched him. It hurt, but he didn’t grimace. “You’re always welcome to come visit me in Keystone to get away from it all. I wouldn’t mind. In fact, I’d love it.” Bart told her, and kissed her cheek before playfully hitting her back. Not very hard, even though he probably couldn’t harm her.
“You’re going to regret that offer, I’m going to be visiting you all the time. I might never leave.” She joked, moving closer to him. “Bart that was not a kiss. Not at all. Trust me I know these things.” Rose wrapped her arms around him and smirked at his expression.
“I won’t regret it, trust me.” Bart said as he smiled. As she wrapped her arms around him, Bart’s heart raced faster than he did. “What’s a real kiss then?” Bart asked, winking to her and wrapping his arms around her as well. He allowed his face to grin from ear to ear.
Rose leaned in so that there was only a breath of space between them, she glanced up to meet Bart’s gaze and smiled. “This is a real kiss.” She whispered, because anything louder than a whisper at that moment would have ruined the moment, and pressed her lips to his. Rose ran a hand up Bart’s back and passed his neck to rest in his hair. This felt nice, right even, and she didn’t see a regret just yet.
As Rose whispered to Bart, his heart was racing once more. As she kissed him, he had to hole back all his smiling. When she ran a hand up his pack he put his hand on her back and copied the movement. Bart was still holding back a big grin on his face and realized how much he was loving the moment.
Rose pulled back from him and laughed. She wasn't laughing at him or anything, but she couldn't help it. He was smiling so much, it was infectious and she caught it. "You're ridiculous" she mumbled kissing his nose and forehead in an oddly affectionate tone that was a bit out of character for her. Rose tightened her grip on the boy though, resting her head on his shoulder and listening to the sounds of the forest for a minute.
Bart raced through the tower to find Rose, after he had just got the idea to take Rose somewhere, after he heard that Kon was taking Tim to Hawaii. In fact, I’d love it.” Bart told her, and kissed her cheek before playfully hitting her back. Not very hard, even though he probably couldn’t harm her.
"You're going to regret that offer, I'm going to be visiting you all the time. I might never leave." She joked, moving closer to him. "Bart that was not a kiss. Not at all. Trust me I know these things." Rose wrapped her arms around him and smirked at his expression.
"No whoa there, calm down. It's just nice to get away, or maybe I'm tired? We've been running drills and doing paroles all week, not to mention I have my own projects going on. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm just speaking out of a sleep deprived haze or whatever, but the thanks is for getting me away from all that. Sometimes it's good to get away. I forget that too much though." She smiled and punched Bart's arm playfully. "And you reminded me."
Bart raced through the tower to find Rose, after he had just got the idea to take Rose somewhere, after he heard that Kon was taking Tim to Hawaii.
