“The pen is mightier than the sword if the sword is very short, and the pen is very sharp.” Terry Pratchett
this week’s bullet journal set up!!! I’m trying to post more personal posts, but I just can’t find the time! Robotics is eating me alive, if we’re going to be honest, but I’m having immense fun along the way!! Are y'all in any extracurriculars?
When ur writing an essay for a test and the teacher says u have 3 minutes left
whenever you're feeling unmotivated and sleepy:
• drink a big glass of water • fix your posture and sit up straight • do some stretches to get moving • take some deep breaths • straighten up the area you’re in a little bit • listen to some intense classical music or just some upbeat tunes! • get working! :)
Viola Davis has never shied away from harsh truths. On Tuesday, Davis spoke to the Stuart House (a nonprofit for sexually abused children) about trauma in her own family. Through her speech, she explained how abuse changes survivors’ lives and what she wishes she could say to her sister now: “I wish I could tell my sister …”
Don't forget, the gym is where people go to work on themselves and get better. There is no need to feel shame or fear there, the gym is not highschool its a place to lift weights and work hard
yeah and if anyone makes u feel bad or uncomfortable throw a heavy kettlebell at them. Fuck it thats pretty much what the point of them is.

if socrates can make a career out of telling people that they’re stupid then why can’t i
I feel like this applies to you, @rudescience
Ofc everyone is stupid. No one should say that they know enough to not be stupid. To define yourself as not stupid would be to limit yourself of ever achieving it.
True knowledge lies in knowing that you know nothing.
I wanted to write tonight but ended up watching Maleficent instead. It’s such a great adaptation of Sleeping Beauty.
I’m so tired rn and I have to go to work tomorrow, get a birthday present for one of my friends and then come home to study. Maybe I’ll treat myself to coffee and write in my journal after work.
The 2–Minute Rule
This rule help you overcome procrastination and laziness by making it so easy to start taking action that you can’t say no.
Most of the tasks that you procrastinate on aren’t actually difficult to do. People tend to avoid starting them for one reason or another.
There are two parts to the 2–Minute Rule
Part 1 — If it takes less than two minutes, then do it now.
Many things we put off are things that we could get done in two minutes or less. Just get it done!!
Part 2 — When you start a new habit, it should take less than two minutes to do.
Can all of your goals be accomplished in less than two minutes? Obviously not. But, every goal can be started in 2 minutes or less. And that’s the purpose behind this rule.
Additional Tips
1. Stop thinking. Start doing.
“To think too long about doing a thing often becomes its undoing.” Eva Young
2. Don’t blow a task out of proportion.
”Putting off an easy thing makes it hard. Putting off a hard thing makes it impossible.” George Claude Lorimer
3. Just take the first step.
“You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” Martin Luther King, Jr.
4. Start with the hardest task of your day.
“Do the hard jobs first. The easy jobs will take care of themselves.” Dale Carnegie
So stop procrastinating and start your work now!!
YOU CAN DO THIS.
JUST DO IT☺

A Tiny Adventure Guide
Hello, Adventurers. I thought I’d put together a short guide of resources I use to live more adventurously. Hopefully it’s useful to some of you.
GO SOMEPLACE NEW
Roadside America- Helps you find attractions and oddities nearby.
Roadtrippers- Will show you a bunch of neat things within a 30 mile radius of a given route.
Atlas Obscura- Another good website for finding oddities nearby.
Tripadvisor- Won’t give you some of the odder attractions, but a good starting place to find out what’s nearby.
TRY SOMETHING NEW
Eventful- This website will show you what events are happening in your city.
Nearify- Like Eventful but it’s an app.
Supercook- Supercook is amazing and I use it all the time when I have no idea what I’m doing for dinner. You tell it what ingredients you have laying around the house and it gives you a list of recipes you can make! (This is how I found out you could make fudge in the microwave and that information changed my life forever.)
Recipe Roulette- If you just want the internet to pick something at random for you, try Recipe Roulette.
MEET NEW PEOPLE
Meetup- This website lets you find and organize meetups in your area.
Your Local Library- Your local library probably runs a ton of really cool free programs. Its a good way to try something different and maybe meet some new people. Check your local library’s website to see what they have available. (Or click that link for a list libraries in the US.)
Local Parks and Rec- Parks and Recreation is another place that probably hosts a lot of free programs.
LEARN SOMETHING NEW
Instructable- Instructable has step-by-step instructions for just about any project you can think of!
Class Central- This website helps you find Massive Open Online Courses from a variety of different institutions on just about any subject. It’s basically a search engine for MOOCs.
wikiHow- Much like Instructables, wikiHow is full of tutorials on how to do things.
ADVENTURER TIP
There is no wrong way to have a Tiny Adventure. Adventures can be different for everyone. Don’t worry that your adventure is too big or too small. And don’t be afraid to attempt something and fail. That’s still an adventure! If you had fun, learned something, tried something new, or accomplished something that’s difficult for you, that counts!
Have fun out there, Adventurers.
