She frowned and glanced at the person who Fury had saved her from. "Well, I do usually pay attention, but if someone can just sneak up on me, because they have powers, then I'm essentially fucked."
"That's not a good way to think." Fury shook her head. "Seriously, you should learn to defend yourself. Unless you carry a weapon or two on you."
Roxanne was walking home after a long day at work. It was nice enough out to where she didn't bother with a town car or a cab, why would she anyways, she preffered to walk. Heels clicking on the pavement, she was finishing a reply via text to someone when she felt someone tap her shoulder and she tensed slightly and turned to look at the person who tapped her on her shoulder and laughed. "Not going to lie, I was worried you were be a weirdo, so thank you for not being one." @ggstarterblog
"No, I am protecting you from a weirdo though." She said and nodded towards the person she had sensed that was creeping up on Roxanne. "You gotta actually pay attention. Especially now that people have powers."
"And where does the Yankees come into play with that?" He raised a brow at her.
"Does it matter? I think you should be more concerned about what's out there, than some silly baseball team."
"Oh I so needed this." Aurora said with a smile and threw the shot back when it was placed in front of her. Clearing her throat, she looked at the person she was with and asked, "What is the most fucked up thing that you have seen or heard today? I need a distraction from all the shitty people I've had to deal with at college today." @ggstarterblog
Fury looked at Aurora and watched her throw her shot back. "I mean, speaking from experience, it can always be worse than dealing with shitty people at college."
"Okay, so you're telling me that in a world where dopplegangers, vampires, people who can manipulate shadows, people who can ride dragons, and all the other bullshit we know to be true here in Manhattan, is acceptable to you? But already thinking that the Yankees will have a good season this year is crazy?" @ggstarterblog
Fury looked at Elijah. "I'm not really saying that, I'm saying that there's some truths that can't be hidden and there are some truths that can be hidden." She shrugged.
"I'm not going to lie, I am a bit hungover, so please, whatever you have to say, don't say something that will make me want to throw water in your face." @ggstarterblog
Fury rolled her eyes. "Maybe you should step back on drinking if this is how you act when you're hungover." She said. "Drink some water and eat some greasy food, it'll help." She added as she sat down across from him.
"Hmm, it could be worse than me smoking." Max put his "cigarette" away and shrugged. "Trust me, there are some...well a lot more fucked up people doing way more shady shit in Central Park than I am." He laughed.
"Oh trust me, I know, I've seen a lot and I've only been in the park for like an hour."
"You saw me fail at trying to use my powers?" Rhiannon asked with a laugh. "Thank you for keeping my secret, by the way."
"I did and you're welcome Is there a reason you want me to actually keep it a secret though?"
Issac exhaled and let the smoke leave his mouth and chuckled. "Weed isn't illegal. I mean, I shouldn't be smoking it in public, but I needed this extra hit."
"An extra hit? Damn what's got you so on edge?"
Amber had been sitting at the lake in Central Park and had been humming a song softly, not with her siren powers, but just singing to sing. She looked at Fury with a smile. "Honestly, me singing isn't that big of a deal." She laughed.
"Considering you're one of the biggest pop stars in the world, it could be, especially since we all know that you're part siren."
"Jesus Christ, where the hell did you come from?" Kai looked at Fury, eyes wide and he laughed. "I wasn't doing anything illegal, but now I feel like I should apologize."
"Don't worry about it." Fury shrugged and a smile came onto her lips. "You don't need to apologize, but I am sorry for scaring you."
Robin just dropped down from the iron fence, boots hitting the gravel with a sharp crunch. On the fence it said "DO NOT ENTER" but she was so desperate to abandon her date. "Oh yeah, that… uh… that was just me… taking a shortcut. Totally normal. Everyone does it. Well, not everyone. Maybe only me. Okay, fine, I ditched my date."
"Hey, ditching a bad date isn't illegal. You do look like you could use a better escape path though."
"Well it's a good thing I wasn't trying to hide now, wasn't it?" Mateo cocked a brow and looked at Fury.
"I mean, it kind of does look like you're trying to hide."
Xaden had made sure he had found a place in Central Park that wasn't surrounded by many people. He needed a place to throw daggers and keep his skills sharp, so he figured the best place would be The Ramble. Looking at Fury when she came up to him, he chuckled. "I don't think that throwing daggers is exactly illegal, I mean, so long as I don't get caught." He chuckled and looked at Fury again. She was dressed like a dragon rider, but he could tell she wasn't. He cocked a brow at her. "You coming to throw daggers too or to sneak around in rider's black?"
"I don't know what rider's black is, but no, I'm not here to do either." She shrugged. "I'm just taking a walk here in the park."
"I saw that you know." Fury said with a sly smile as she walked up to someone in Central Park. She was dressed head to toe in her usual all black attire and she folded her arms across her chest and she looked the person over as if contemplating to tattle on them, before she said, "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me." @ggstarterblog
