"I honestly love Mondays, I never saw the point of hating one day over another, then again, I spend a lot of time working than actually being out and about, which is kind of bad."

"Well then I'm very glad that you're not hurt, I am such a menace and Manhattan is so busy and fast-paced compared to where I came from. I bumped into so many people and not all of them are as nice as you are." She smiled, looking over at the other woman. "Oh you work at a hospital, that's cool." She said as they walked. "Yeah, I would absolutely love a drink right now. My roommate with amazing hair, he gave me this ridiculously long list, says he wants me to be more responsible."

"Well how about we get the groceries back to your place and then we can go and get a drink?" Sage suggested. "That way your roommate knows you did the right thing."

Norma’s expression softened but there was a flicker in her eyes something fierce something protective.“Oh sweetheart… no. No don’t do that to yourself.” She shook her head gently like she was brushing the thought away before it could settle. “That’s what happens when you’ve been disappointed too many times. You start thinking maybe it must be you. Maybe you’re the flaw in the pattern.”She gave a small almost sad smile.“Being imperfect doesn’t make you cursed. It makes you human. Do you know how rare it is for someone to even admit they haven’t always been the best partner? Most people go their whole lives blaming everyone else. The fact that you can look at yourself and wonder… that tells me you care. And people who care aren’t doomed they are learning and let me tell you something the right person won’t need you to be perfect. They won’t keep score. They won’t make you feel like you’re some kind of storm that ruins everything you touch. They’ll see your rough edges and stay anyway “

Sage nodded and smiled when Norma spoke. "Thank you for saying that. I uh...I think I needed to hear that, you know?" She asked with a laugh.

" Well, that's a way... There's also a saying here, when you least expect, you find it. So, maybe that's what you should be doing? Cat lady?" Feyre laughed. " No, we are going to have fun tonight and maybe, just maybe, since you're not looking anymore, we find you someone."

"Hmm I think it's more so karma for leaving a guy at the alter." Sage laughed. "Like I fucked up with this really great guy and now I'm doomed to be single forever." She looked at Feyre. "Though I don't care if I find someone to be honest, I'm happy being single."

"i wish i could help you, but after everything that happened with rafe, i stay away from all the dating apps and dating in general. it's just easier for me."

"I very much get that." Sage nodded. "I uh...I haven't been able to really find a good match since my failed wedding and it was my own fault."

"Sage, it could be a lot worse. People could be fucking stupid and still think you're liking your ex, when you're not. It's annoying as shit."

Sage scrunched her face. "I am so glad that hasn't happened to me, but I am so sorry that's happening to you. That cannot be easy at all."

Robin crouches quickly, clutching the carton of eggs to her chest as she gathers the rest. "Are you okay? Because I just basically assaulted you with groceries and that feels like the bigger issue." She says, scrambling for a runaway apple. "I swear I normally know how walking works, these bags just betrayed me. You're not concussed or anything, right? I'm so, so sorry. Can I get you a drink? As a peace offering? A non-violent beverage."

"Trust me, I work in a hospital, this is literally nothing," Sage promised Robin with a laugh. "Breathe, I promise you that I am okay." She smiled at her. "I feel like you could use a drink though."

"Sage, you and I both know that it's not you, it's Manhattan. These men are....I don't know." She shrugged. "God knows not to take any relationship advice from me though."

"I mean, given who actually lives in Manhattan, you probably aren't the worst person to take relationship advice from." She teased Serena with a smile.

"Maybe you should stay off the dating apps?" Sarah suggested. "I mean, I'd say take the route John B and I did, but I uh...I cheated on Topper with John B and then cheated on John B with Topper so it was messy for a while."

Sage laughed. "I'm not really a saint when it comes to dating either, so I'm not going to judge you on any of that." She promised the younger woman. "I probably am going to stay off the dating apps for a while."

"You're not cursed, Sage. This town just has a way of bringing out the worst with the dating scene and yes, this is me talking as my experience of a divorce lawyer."

Sage laughed. "You would know." She teased with a smile. "I don't know, maybe it truly is my karma." She shrugged.

Jane smirked at Sage, still bitter about her leaving her oldest brother. “Oh, you’re definitely cursed… maybe it’s on you. You know what they say,.. karma’s a b**ch. Honestly, at this point, Manhattan probably just rolls its eyes every time you show up on a date.”

"Hmm, more than likely it probably does." Sage said and took a sip of her drink. She was in no mood for Jane's attitude, albiet, no matter how deserved it was. Closing her eyes, she opened them and asked, "You're not really one to judge though, are you? Heard your ex showed up at your place to deliver pizza."

Norma tilted her head, eyes soft but burning with conviction.”Oh honey, don’t you dare say that. You’re not cursed. The world is cursed. The people in it… they don’t know how to recognize someone special when they see them. They’re careless. Selfish. They take and take until there’s nothing left, and then they look at you like you’re the problem.”She reached out, her voice lowering, protective and intense.”you just haven’t met someone who deserves you yet. And maybe that’s a good thing. Maybe it means you’ve been spared. Because letting the wrong person in… that’s how they ruin you. That’s how they change you. And you don’t deserve to be changed. You deserve someone who sees you exactly as you are and never, ever lets you feel alone.” A faint, knowing smile crossed her face.”And until then, you don’t need them. You’re stronger than you think. Stronger than all of them.”

Sage bit her lip. "See, I want to believe that it's just them, but I haven't exactly been the best girlfriend either, so I could very well be cursed." She gave a small smile. "Thank you though. I think I needed to hear that."
