I think it's people that read a transcript versus actually listening to it, because I listened to the whole thing, and I got what he was saying.

I literally have never read a more condescending statement in my life….I heard the mansplaining in his voice just by reading that statement… the idea that because Taylor Swift is “incredibly beautiful physically” means that doing an acoustic album would “age” her??? or that acoustic music is inherently more mature or complex than music involving more instruments in production??? or why is her appearance even relevant??? or that Taylor has this thing of being “very young” when Matty and Taylor are literally the same age???

Not sure if you read a short transcript or actually listened to the podcast, but the interviewer brought her up. He was very nice about her, and it was obvious he admired her work. Maybe listen to it if you didn't, because I understood what he was saying, and he wasnt mansplaining anything.

Well, I don't actively use this thing much for more than browsing. The great purge flagged more of my posts than not, despite 99% just being normal art or comic covers, and I just don't care enough to mess with them. So, yeah. I just like to look for stuff here these days.

Well then. I'm glad I was at the point I only looked at tumblr very rarely. Almost all of my old comic related posts, many of which simply featured the covers of new releases which definitely were not adult, have been flagged.

I can only imagine what it's like for others when I only got into this hell site for a short period. And really only for comics.

For the past sixteen years, my cat Smeagol has been a beloved part of my family. I have known him for half of my life and all of his, and I couldn't have asked for a sweeter companion to share that time with. Last year he was diagnosed with renal failure after one of his kidneys stopped functio...

If you’ve been following me for a bit, you know that my cat has been sick for a little over a year. I’ve been doing everything I can to keep him happy and comfortable, but we’re now at the point where it will be more humane to let him go. I raised him from a kitten separated from his mother too young and moved clear to the other side of the country with him, so this is a heartbreaking thing to have to face, much less be unable to afford.
