the dnd setting I’m working on with my friend

Welcome to project kill switch a heavy wip so here’s me and my friends dark fantasy dnd world

the world of (name pending) is not a happy one it is divided into 4 eras in order they are

1-death

2-famine

3-war

4-conquest

(yes there named after the horsemen)

im responsible for era 3

the era of war is dominated by 2 factions the empire and the merchant alliance they have been fighting for longer than any man can remember and none still remember why it started

the empire

a nation of ferocious zealots they fight without fear, though unbeknownst to the masses it has a rotten core

the merchant alliance (less developed)

the heart of the alliance is in a more isolated region of the world the geography once protected them from the great famine allowing them to recover faster they are now an economic powerhouse much of their military comes from either private militia or overseas mercenaries

so this whole thing started with me telling my friend about a loophole/ exploit in dnd 5e 2014 rules that allowed for free revives with the slightest ethical drawback of a dude having to die every time which led to what if that got weaponized which then led to what fucked up world would need to do that? This cross between Bane, big daddy and rat ogre was named the Killswitch hence the working name.

i have such a love for characters who descend into madness or villainy out of deep, deep empathy. characters who fundamentally cannot cope with the cruel realities they find themselves in and blow up about it in spectacular fashion. fallen angel type characters with tears of outrage in their eyes. characters who break before they bend, and break so badly they splatter blood all over their noble ideals. every variation on it gets me so good

Is there a difference between these two besides color

I've never made a gumpla before but have experience in warhammer and want to know if one of these is better, I'm planning on painting it. Any help would be appreciated

DnD story

I played dnd a few weeks ago for my birthday

It was a 1shot at the local game store

So characters (all lvl 3)

Me drow war wizard (with a pet weasel yes this matters) it would be

freinds

tabaxi swashbuckler rouge

dragonborn paladin

half-elf fiend warlock

human ranger

dwarf tempest cleric

So we start on an airship mid mutiny we’re looking for some sky island the original captain baker wants to wait and the mutiny leader wants to start raiding (I don’t remember his name) most of the party goes with the raiders including me

combat I go first and have the bright idea to cast flaming sphere which creates a ball of fire on the wooden air ship would ignites the canon balls. Oops anyway stuff happens. The mutiny leader gets roundhouse kicked off the ship by the rogue. Cleric knocks a bunch of people overboard the ship nearly explodes but gets saved by a magic barrier and oh cool the sky Island with the tomb we were looking for is there

there’s a chessboard thing I got distracted and people self. The puzzle identified some magic items and got a cloak of stars, which comes in later.

We go into the tomb there’s a trap that put a crew members soul into a gem that I fed to the weasel (it did nothing) we do a puzzle and don’t get crushed and at the end baker betrayed us so we roll initiative and I go first my weasel uses the help action to give scorching advantage which is great and then gets beaten with a magic sword concert get shot and once it loops back around my turn, I realize oh cool. I have the cloak of stars which lets me cast fifth level magic missile the highest level I can cast is level two magic missile just does damage there is no save. There is no attack role. It is guaranteed so I unleashed a guaranteed 7d4 damage and he dies. he had also been set on fire like four times

and so we get teleported to weird space place where we takes the magic space moths potion, and a chat with a dead elf

Life lately

So notable events that have happened lately

I went to mall with friends play DDR for the first Time beat my friend at rabbit hole. Legs hurt also learned at the gathering has a manga.

I am no longer vocaloid hater abnormality girl and the new daidaidai song convinced me so I’m vocal songs that you like please recommend them to me

Also the ado album droped and I am kinda disappointed it’s just one song

additionally, I have entered a very strange dynamic with my friend who is popular TikToker and is the most polite a walking 🌈stereotype(even though he’s not) anyway he’s a walking ray of sunshine and me his gloomy introvert he adopted
