To say Bruce was a little irritated at being forced to live in a crowded city was an understatement. He had been promised a chaos free zone to live in upon accepting Agent Romanova's offer; did SHIELD actually think it was a good idea to have him and the other guy in one of the most populated areas on the planet? Sure Bruce could visit the Big Apple but live there? This was a whole new challenge, one he would have to train himself to adjust to in order to keep the citizens of the city safe from his other half.
After the battle of New York, Bruce had requested a meeting with Director Fury to discuss his future at the academy. He wanted to request a more secluded living arrangement; a place where he would be able to work in peace when not in the labs. Much to Bruce's surprise, Fury offered him his own level in Stark Tower- or rather, Fury asked Bruce irritatedly if he ever read his damn email and sent him away. Upon checking his inbox, he noted an email from Tony Stark informing him that he was invited to live in the Tower with the rest of the Avengers and select agents.
Bruce liked Tony- he was a decent guy underneath his egotistical playboy act. He was also the only person who didn't seem to fear, but rather admire, his little party trick. After much thought, Bruce agreed to Tony's offer and moved into the hi-tech building. He had an entire floor to himself and no one bugged him really-except JARVIS and even then Bruce enjoyed their conversations. it wasn't actually that bad but Bruce couldn't help but worry. Living in India for three years, Bruce had thought he had gotten a handle on his other side but letting the Hulk loose during the Battle had been an eye opening experience. It seemed as though Bruce didn't have any control over his counterpart whatsoever; the other guy was the one controlling the puppet strings.
He had spent the last two weeks in seclusion while he researched everything about the other known victims of gamma radiation accidents. His own cousin- Jennifer- had been turned into a creature just like him. He wanted nothing more than her own personal insight as to how her counterpart was treating her. So far, he hadn't been able to get in touch with anything but her voice mail. He just wanted answers, to see if his theory was correct. If the Hulk truly was it's own separate entity, just how much danger would they all really be in? If the other guy was the one in control of their shared body, just how easily could Bruce disappear?
Bruce needed to find out and soon.

That's... a little harsh, don't you think?
~In a lab on the Hellicarrier~
[looks around the lab, squinting as he looks at all the machines until he spots the one Bruce talked about. Walks over to it, running his hand over the touch screen so it wakes up] That doesn’t seem like it’s going to be all that difficult. Did he really need all three of us to do this?
[nods as he listens to Bruce, popping a few blueberries in his mouth all the while before glancing over at the machine and saying to Peter] I was just thinking the same thing, kid. You’re not really relevant for any of this. Maybe if you go find Widow, she can find you a word search to keep you busy while real men work. [back to Bruce] What are we waiting for? You work on tracking down Loki and the tesseract; JARVIS and I are going to see if we can’t try and find Legolas through his bow. If he’s away from Loki doing his dirty work, we need to find him ASAP.
[looks over at Peter, awkwardly] Like you said, it won't take that much work but if you'd like to help me track Loki and the tesseract, you're more than welcome to.
~In a lab on the Hellicarrier~
Demi-god, yeah whatever. The problem is we still don’t know what Loki is even planning to do with that tesseract thing or what it even does in the first place.
[rolls his eyes at Peter] Why isn’t the question we’ve been assigned to answer. If we wanted to sit in a circle and chat about our predictions, we could have grabbed some shawarma instead of being stuck in a Hellicarrier. [points to bruce with his free hand] Can you track him down with his scepter?
With his scepter, no. With the tesseract.... [takes off his glasses and cleans them] Maybe. It's supposed to be flooding with enough gamma radiation to take out an entire planet, at least that's what the briefing folder explained. There's a machine in here that is able to track large amounts of gamma radiation and if we tweak it a bit, we could get a signature within half a mile.
~In a lab on the Hellicarrier~
[is walking down the corridor to the labs, freezing in the doorway when he spots Tony. Holds back from rolling his eyes before walking the rest of the way into the lab, throwing his bag down on a chair] Well he probably didn’t have some Asgardian god making peoples brains into scrambled eggs before now.
[corrects quickly] Demi-god. [tosses another blueberry up, catching it in his mouth] He may not have had them until recently, but he’s had all sorts of kleptos and little shits running around here, it was bound to happen eventually. I had my money on Vance making something suspiciously float away from Fury hands, to be honest. Or that Hardy chick. [motions to his hair] Y’know, the one with the white-blonde hair. Ever since she and I ‘hung out’, [holds back a snicker at the thought before returning to his suspicious expression] I’ve been missing my Gucci 2013 Spring Cuff Links. They were a gift from this one reporter, Everheart or something. I just never said anything to Felicia about it because I’m a gentleman. [pauses] … That and I don’t really want to get on her bad side. She’s got this vicious-bitch glint in her eye.
[after spending several minutes trying to ignore Tony and get some work done, he looks up when Peter enters the room from his computer and listens to his and Tony's conversation before clearing his throat] Er... anyways, back to the subject of Loki. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats. You can smell crazy on him which is why we really shouldn't be wasting any time finding him.
[strolling leisurely along the side walk, earphones in both ears as she hums a tune to herself, walking to the beat and paying no mind to anyone else until she steps on someone’s foot, startling herself and dropping her books. Kneels down to pick them up, saying without looking up to face them] Pardon! So sorry, I wasn’t paying attention.
[is walking down the sidewalk, face buried in a file. He feels someone step onto his foot and crashes into him. Taking a deep breath, he looks down and relaxes when he sees it wasn't a threat. Leaning down to help the girl, he waves her off] I wasn't looking either, don't worry. [smiles up at her, handing her a small pile of books] Here you are.
Please tell me someone here has a secret stack of teabags, because I can’t find any and I’m in serious need of some camomile.
I have a plethora of different teas that I collected in India. I'm always willing to share.
