Hassle
Nahassle ko na naman si bb today. Hay.
For context, I had two goals this weekend: to go to the christening of the child of a previous colleague, and to go home to my parents. Originally, the plan was I was going to go on it alone because V was away. I would be commuting all the way. However, we realized he would be back in Laguna and he could accompany me. I asked if he wanted to, and he said he did. I was happy.
The plan was that we would go on a motorcycle. However, there was a typhoon, so we took the van instead.
The van is less fun, and more costly. But that fact, I think is a minor inconvenience. The bigger inconvenience was that the parking area in my officemate's place was so cramped. And suddenly, the van's paint got scratched. Everything went downhill from there--the party was not fun because of the rain, and the covered area was small so we ended up standing most of the time.
The rain really ruined everything. And from that point, V's mood was ruined :v I don't know if he blames me for the scratch because I should have assisted him better. But he carried that bad mood until we reached my parents' home, until dinner and until coffee. Until he went home. I said sorry even if I wasn't sure he thinks it is my fault. He replies to my messages, but coldly.
I don't know. I feel like I became a big inconvenience to him today. Going back, could I have done better? Should I have not insisted for us to go that event because it was raining?
I knew it would be a hassle because of the rain. However, I was really shy to not show up because I have agreed to that invitation months ago.
I guess the thing is, being hassled for other people is not an issue for me--as a people pleaser (lol am I?). But I should learn that it's not the same thing for V. He doesn't like hassles. He wants hassles to be minimized as much as possible. So next time that I plan to do something that would hassle him, I should consider skipping it, or doing it just by myself. Or asking him--are you willing to take the hassle?
