BIOGRAPHY (TW: abortion) —
At first glance, Valentina seems to be the spitting image of a spoiled rich girl with daddy issues, but that could not be more wrong – mostly. Val is definitely spoiled and rich, but her issues have never been with her father, the notorious Cormac McLaggen. For the most part, she is quite similar to her father in a lot of ways: arrogant, self-righteous, and athletic, not to mention she can be quite rude and obnoxious at times. However, throughout her years at Hogwarts, she has grown and learned so much that when graduation time came, she was more than ready to take her next step.
Val had always planned on becoming a cursebreaker from the time she was a small girl. Her father – a ministry worker – never once discouraged the idea, either, considering that career path a worthy one of his beloved daughter. Even so, as determined as McLaggen is to reach her goal, she is even more determined follow her biggest dream in becoming a mother. A pregnancy between her sixth and seventh year that ended with an abortion without Val’s consent followed by another pregnancy that ended in the stillborn birth of her son, Val has never wanted something more in her life.
Whether her dream of motherhood comes before a cursebreaking career is still unknown. All she knows is both titles will be gained, one way or another. Val intends on completing her time at the university and rolling with the punches, whichever way they come, and she is committed to the bright future she has planned. In true Valentina McLaggen fashion, she does not, never has, and never will let anything stand in her way – no matter what darkness is set on destroying her.
RELATIONSHIPS —
EDWARD REED (fiancé): After a playful game of rock, paper, scissors turned into an invitation for a date, Val and Eddie made an unlikely connection that has survived the tests of time. Neither parties believed they would end up like they did – certainly not Val – but now neither could imagine their life without the other. Val absolutely adores her goofy fiancé, who’s personality both clashes and complements her own. The two have been through a lot together, and fully intend on making the most of their lives together.

“You think so?  Was Ian about her age when you started teaching him?”  Eddie asked, trying to remember.  “Well, I don’t see why not.  Eva and I’ll be watching you two from the side, since she seems to be the only one who’s inherited my quidditch skills.”
“Ian was about four when I started teaching him to fly, yeah. I think Ada’s ready for her first broom,” she decided with a nod. Taking a sip from her drink, she made a face and shrugged. “I feel bad,” she murmured, “that Eva is the only one, you know.. Without magic. She must feel left out a lot. We should do something for her -- just for her, that she can enjoy with us and her siblings. What do you think?”
Anya shrugged, “Well I guess its good that its not your face that the dark makeup is on.”
“This is true. But, really, you have a pretty face without all the gunk on it. However, I’ll never deny a woman her right to do her face up just because she wants it.”
“Oh, I imagine his schedule is packed.  He probably brings her to all his practices and his matches.  I wouldn’t be surprised if she already had her own miniature broom.”
“Oh, you’re right there. I’m sure she does.. Speaking of which, d’you think Ada’s ready to learn? I have a feeling she’ll be a natural like he brother.”
“Oh..I always liked it..” She said sounding kind of sad.
“I was never a fan of heavy dark make-up. I mean, yes, use some dark colors to accentuate your features, but some people go a little overboard.”
“Yeah, she’s definitely cute,”  Eddie nodded.  “Oh, are they?  We should plan a play date for the two of them or something.”
“We should. I’m never sure what his schedule is like since he’s got his Quidditch stuff going on. It’s a hectic lifestyle. It’s a wonder he’s managed to raise a baby.”
“And I can’t exactly help that. I’ve been… busy, after all. I just - ” He groaned a little and rubbed his eyes. “I’m s-sick of all of this. I’m sick of the hospitals, but I need them because I’m sick of the paranoia and the nightmares and everything else t-too, and - and it’s taking so long…”
“I know, and you have every right to be frustrated. There’s no definite way of moving forward, especially since you’ve been put through hell and then some.. I wish I could do more for you, Davey. I do.”
