I dont have a lot to my collection yet, currently just have one Smart Doll I got back in 2019 and, but I had always wanted more since that time, and currently I'm close to getting another one! (Which is what I was talking about in the main post). That is, if I can save up enough 😅
I am trying to work on like, a post to promote my commissions on Instagram soon, and here too but slightly less effort (bc for insta is gonna be a video) bc I wanna get her sooo badly and need the money. Also, the doll behind the Smart Doll. Got her on ebay (and the one underneath, which is the same but in a 2 pack and different outfit, tho it's kinda too late rn for me to mess around lol). Was really obsessed with the series alongside my sister and she basically went through to get us the dolls when we found out it wasn't selling anymore
We actually were in London at that time, and went to the Disney store hoping to find them, only for us to disappointedly find out it stopped selling a while ago. To which my sister then took to ebay lol

Monster High, I remember that show (the one back in 2010-2017, I know there's multiple but that's the only one I watched for a brief time haha, which was also so long ago holy crap where has the time gone? ;-;)

Oooooo Disney, that's a fun trip! I've only been there once when I five or six (I hardly remember anything about it, sadly, only that after just about every ride I went on I would always cheer "again, again!" until I got another go on it lol). My parents got me a blanket in the reveal that we were going, and it had all the princesses (at the time) on it, and it was pink, and soft, and big and beautiful and ugh... I miss that thing. </3

Yeah, I got lucky cuz my AG doll was a guft from my uncle who lived in the US (rich gay uncle, you know the types XD. Also, they didn't ship outside the US and I'm from basil, so honestly, the only way I coukd have gotten her lol). It was a whole mess to getting then, they were meant to be Christmas gifts to me and my sister but due to some issues that made it so our uncle wasn't going to be able to come visit for Christmas and we only got them in January, tho we thought we wouldn't get them at all, so it was a complete surprise.
In fact, we weren't gonna get them at all before, but my uncle had a friend who was going to visit brasil, and he asked her to send the dolls to us (cuz that wpuld make it cheaper to mail. The dolls themselves were already really expensive) and we got them a few days before school started XD.
They are very fancy, and also the most diverse when it comes to body and skin types within the BJD industry! Which I like a lot. But yeah, very pricey, my wallet will be in the hospital after this lmaoo

I only watched some webisodes and movies from monster high, but due to like, my mom being really religious back then (not nowadays tho) I wasn't allowed to watch or have monster highs (had to donate the only one I had, which was a whole drama in itself I only found out after I became older). So in turn, I watched their sister series Ever After High, they belong to the same universe technically. Cupid actually went through a mirror that took her to EAH and she became a student there too! Probably got mlre dolls in EAH than MH too.
I haven't seen much of the current series for MH G3, but I have been collecting their dolls as of late since they started to get really good looks haha.
Rainbow High used to be good, but they flopped after budget cuts and catering back to little kids with slime stuff. Tho they somewhat seem to be making a comeback? They brought the sister brand Shadow High back with collectors edition dolls, but they all sell at the same market price as regular dolls (30€) which is neat :]
And yez!!! I grew up with MLP!! I even have the Equestria Girls dolls that had the necklace you could scan on one of their games! Most of my mlp collection is back in brasil tho🥲

The only dolls I really grew up with were Cabbage Patch Kids, they weren't anywhere near as fancy or detailed as some of the stuff out there, but they were very loved in our home :)

Yeah, I wasn't really allowed to watch MH either, being raised as a Christian (I could now if I wanted to tho bc I now understand more and am stronger in my faith :) ). It was really only when MH started after the show we were watching ended, and maybe only for like two minutes before we shut the TV off or just switched channels.

I am becoming more and more ashamed to say this, the more I realize what I've missed out on, but... I actually haven't watched Equestria Girls yet. O^O
At the time it came out, I was just like "WOAH WHY DO THEY HAVE HANDS, WHAT IS THAT, WHAT IS SPIKE, WHAT IS HAPPENING??!?!?" and then I kinda just gave up on it after that 😅
It was just too... weird and different for me to get into the whole acceptance of "they were ponies who knew each other, and now they're humans who have to rebuild their currently non-existent deep friendships, and only two of them (Twilight and Spike) know who everyone else is but they have no idea what's going on", thing... y'know?
But I'm thinking about watching the whole EG series, I hear they're pretty good :) (plus my brother convinced me after he recently watched the first movie with a friend for the first time XD)

Our dad told us there was mail at the front gate of our apartment (we had like, a security guard and they kept our mail there) and when me and my sister went down to pick it up, we saw it was a huge box and we both had to carry it together. We thought it was something for our dad's work (since he tended to work at home) but kept joking "imagine if this was our dolls XD"
Then when we placed it at the table and called our dad for it, he asked "didn't you guys read who the mail is for??" He was so confused why we weren't excited about the mail until we said no and that we thought it was for him. He laughed and told us to look, and we did, it had both our names assigned for delivery. We were shocked, looked at our dad, he nodded, knowing what we were thinking. We just said "no way" as we random to get the scissors to cut the box open. Oh man the JOY we felt that day!!
That's sweet. I had my fair share of different toys I collected over the years. None really gotten bc we were rich, but we had rich family members XD. But we had the simple stuff too, tho cabbage patch kids weren't something that sold where I grew up, but me and my sister did have this HUGE baby doll, big enough it fit in our clothes from when we were 4. Maybe creepy looking for most kids, but we absolutely loved them. Unfortunately they were donated, but to a family we trust.

Yeeah, I'm no longer religious, but yeah, it was a similar reason for me as a kid 😅 (idk what the religion I grew up in was, but pretty sure it was also Christian??). I dont watch the new show either but I like the dolls that have been coming our recently so yeah.
And yeah lol, seems like it. Mirrors to bridge two worlds seems like a common theme in a lot of stories from that time tho akdjalald. It's a cool concept!
THEY'RE SUUUPER COOL TRUST!! I won't spoil much, but it's super fun to watch, especially the series. When the 2nd movie was first announced me, my sister and our (now ex) best friend were SUPER hyped, we were staying at this friend's house from Friday to the next day, which was when the movie would be coming out, and we were patiently waiting for it to air on TV but our friend's mom didn't want us to be cooped up at the house and told us to go play outside while we waited.
We were constantly checking the time to make sure we didn't miss out, and were completely distracted to focus on playing nsjskalel. Then the time came, we were a few minutes late and panicked, we turned on the TV aaaand, it was delayed for another hour bc of some issues. But it made it even more exciting when it did air and we cheered so hard.
The songs are amazing too honestly, we sang to it as it played, you'll get addicted to the songs I'm sure XD (or not, which isn't bad, we all have our own personal tastes lol)
And yes, I definitely will. Unfortunately it will be a long time until we can go back to get them, visiting brasil has become EXPENSIVE, so so expensive it's insane, and unfortunate, makes it hard to see family now :(
Me and my sister had to go visit without our parents (and traveling such a long distance by ourselves for the first time too. Tho technically 2nd time alone) bc it was too expensive to go with the whole family.
Tho yeah, hopefully whoever has your collection can enjoy them just as much as you did <3

But ok, ahem- Here I am now!
Yes, there has been quite a few lore updates and, god I really need to make proper posts/comics other than lore dumping a wall of text XD
But I unfortnetly have not been able to find the time for that YwY. So yall get wall of text!
Tho I plan to maybe eventually make comics/doodles out of the stuff I've written if I get the time for it :]
Though, I will add that I plan to move Zip Line related things to this blog -> @top-cherry
Mainly to keep things for easy acess for me and anyone interested, I know I tend to post a lot of random things here 😅. But also, I'll still reblog the art I do here occasionally
I have some fic drabbles written already (as I write this, currently up to 26 of them, but I'm not sure when or how I'll be sharing these. Some I have plans to draw it out, others maybe just post it as is, idk yet). And I did change some things from the first lore post (edited it there), primary one being that Zip Line was born just a week or two after they left Cybertron and not really one full month
I plan to write a full coherent lore later and I'll make a proper post about the timeline once I do, but for now, it's only rambles to give you some crumbs until then. But given that, there might be things here subject to change, as a heads up.
Anyhow, for the lore questions:
Yes, Ratchet (and now added First Aid) were the ones to primarily take care of Zip Line. When Ratchet was busy, First Aid would be the one to watch over Zip Line, and vise versa, tho usually it was First Aid as he was still in a slump with what happened with Ambulon and became a bit protective over the kid. Tho given their work, there were off days were neither could watch over her and she was passed around by a few bots that they trusted, which usually consisted of: Nautica, Rung (tho rarely since he was also busy), and surprisingly to them Swerve.
Now, for Rodimus in all of this. It wasn't leaner his involvement/coming to terms with Zip Line.
You could say that Swerve became like a 2nd dad for Zip Line. Both because he had quite a bit of knowlage in sparklings compared to everyone else (even Ratchet), but also because he was also a metallurgist and he was the one other bot that could help teach Zip Line how to use her abilities. So, she started to be handed over to him a lot, and Skids was always there to help him out when he needed to finish something up on the bar.
But even after Swerve was done teaching her the basics, and she was big enough he didn't have to really babysit her, she'd still willingly come back to the bar to spend time with him and learn more on how he uses his abilities to make the drinks.
There were good days and bad days.
He was in a coma for about 2 days after Zip Line's birth (this is in counting from the exact moment in which Zip Line came out of him and he passed out), arealdy with the toll of many sleepless nights, the loss of energon and Zip Line basically demaging most of his internals, it was a rough few days. Not only that but the damage had almost killed him, his spark becoming very weak, with Ratchet and First Aid having to find someone with a matching spark type to do the transfer, but also be willing to keep a secret. They did find someone, but it was a someone who Rodimus wasn't happy with (and I won't be revealing who just yet, I wanna make it a dramatic reveal if possible).
Rodimus had woken up the moment that the transfer happened and was panicked to see the person nearby, Ratchet had to calm him down while First Aid took the person aside, allowing Ratchet to explain to Rodimus what happened.
I will add that, while the person had come to help, they did not know why Rodimus needed the spark transfer, but once hearing about Zip Line a few days later had a suspicion it involved her, but couldn't connect as to why bc, like everyone else, the concept of carrying was unknown to most. Although, they would be the first to find out about it outside the current ones who do know.
Anyhow, after Rodimus had woken up and calmed down, and learned about Zip Line, he was devistated. He didn't know what to do, but he already immediately felt sorry for the kid. First week he couldn't hold her, tho Ratchet would sometimes place her next to him when he was asleep and she got fussy bc it would calm her down and avoid a screaming fit, Rodimus was none the wiser to this.
Rodimus was in a pit for the first week, crying when he thought no one could hear him, take occasinal glances at the makeshift crib for Zip Line, an itch to try and hold her, but not let himself do so. Everytime he saw her he saw Drift and he would spiral again.
Her tanks, being damaged, it made it hard for her to be able to consume energon without it coming back up. While they did fix it later on, she still struggles to process her energon which causes her to often be fatigued, and not really feel hungry
Tho also, not like he had many chances to be able to hold her as she had to constantly be checked up on.
Given how messy her birth was there were complications for both Rodimus AND Zip Line, not only that, given how Rodimus had been carrying her during all the war stuff, tyrest, and Dark Cybertron, without knowing he was carrying, some things didn't deveolp properly. She had some of her components not working, such as:
Her tempeture regulators, she overheats easily due to her speedster engines but her regulaors for it didn't deveolp properly. While they also were able to give her implants for it, it wasn't until she was a bit bigger, so as a sparkling she would overheat and get sick easily
Her pain receptors, she can't process pain properly. While she can still feel pain, it takes A LOT for it to process, so mainly she can't feel scabs, surface level burns, cuts or bruises (which will be important later)
Now, imma cut short the info dump tbh, cuz I'm still workshopping the details here, but their bond did start to improve as the months went on. Zip Line started to like helping him with his data work when she started to learn how to read and write, and for once, Rodimus was able to finish his work while learning about Zip Line and becoming closer to her
With that being said, for the first week, Zip Line was under urgent care until they could figure out what to do and whether it be safe to perform surgery on her. By the 2nd week she was more stable, her tanks were fixed to the best of their abilities and they'd give her coolant with her energon to keep her from overheating, and she was allowed to leave the medbay with Rodimus to his room
Tho, unfortunetly, most nights he'd have a breakdown and Ratchet would have to take Zip Line with him to his own room for the night. By the 1 month mark though, Rodimus was a bit better and actually had come out of his room to do Captain duties (light duties, he was still not allowed to move or do much heavy work and was stuck with data work), and would take Zip Line with him
There are still some bumps in the way tho. Especially after the incident with Brainstorm and the time travel stuff. Keeping it vauge, there was a lot of feelings of betrayal from Zip Line, and Rodimus' decision to let Brainstorm stay was one of the things that pushed her to leave with Ratchet.
She does come back tho! Which is when another OC joins in, Trainwreck :]
But that's a whole other post
On the other hand tho, she also liked trying to come up with new energon variants for Swerve to try out for his drinks at the bar, and would help him out when it was his turn to babysit.
One thing for Zip Line though is that she kinda becomes an apprentice to Brainstorm. She snuck in his lab and learned about chemicals and, well, with her metallurgy hands, found a facination for Poisons. Think of MaoMao from apothecary diaries, that's how Zip Line goes about with her poisons, and in fact, the thing about her pain tolorance? Yeah, bc of that, she tends to use herself as a subject too. Safely ofc, she wouldn't want to get in trouble for it, she knows it's bad
And given she had watched Ratchet and First Aid work, she ended up picking up things to help take care of her own injuries to avoid needing to explain to them what she's doing.
Also, as a pass time, she did start to enjoy writing fanfiction. Rodimus would tell her badtime stories of his adventures but keep it vauge where she wouldn't recognize as the MC being him, and she would end up writing her own continuation of the stories when she had nothing to do.
Now, for when Zip Line comes back, well, things are awkard to say the least. She left on her own though, Ratchet and Drift stayed behind, but she just couldn't leave forever, the Lost Light was her home and she promised Swerve she'd come back (she vaugely hinted she would be leaving). But she came across the V.V. first, and they took her in and help her find the LL too, which is when she started to spend time with Trainwreck, a kid like her (slightly older, still working on her story) that came from Caminus, and the two bond over their love for writing.
Then that's where things kinda stop, as I haven't finished reading mtmte so things are in a standstill until I figure out the rest lol.
There is more to it tho, I just don't know how much I'd like to reveal yet since it's being worked on, and some I just don't know how to yet.
On a general sense tho, Zip Line is holding up fine-ish. She's young and learning about herself while still have to deal with rements of war from the veterans that went through it. She's holding up as well as you can expect from that!
