“Why am I not surprised?” Edward chuckled, heading over was when he’d heard the last parts of his friends current conversation and at the very least it brought a smile to his face.
“I’m hoping to god that it was some porn movie you bought instead and you were almost going to put it in because I honestly don’t think I’ll ever stop laughing.”
“Oh yes nothing says romance and friendship like putting in the wrong movie, especially a porno.” He sighed, relieved by the reality of the situation, “Unfortunately for your laugh bank, that’s not what happened.”
"So if I'm hearing this correctly then there's two movies with the same name but they have nothing in common. And I’ve managed to rent the wrong one?”

“They most certainly are not saints. More like little demons on a mission just to make my life suck but, it’s okay.” Nancy added in quickly at the end. She never wanted anyone to feel bad or pity her. “I don’t know,” She said with a laugh, “if there was some substantial proof, I don’t think you’d find out from a magazine.”
Adrien quirked his eyebrow, "It's okay? I don't know, that sounds like a nightmare to me." He shrugged, “I haven't really spent much time with kids since I was one myself. I don't really mind them, but there's never been a reason for me to be around kids.” She had a point, and he laughed along with her, but he kept teasing, "Really? I don’t know, they're pretty good about predicting celeb breakups. I wouldn't be that quick to dismiss their articles."

Nancy just shrugged as he assured her about the joke. “Of course, but this one wasn’t. I would never tell a joke like that. Especially not to kids.”
A chuckle left her mouth, as she shook her head ‘No, I am not also majoring in that. But, I must say, you read some crazy weird magazines then. I mean, since they have articles on both those things.”
"From the sounds of it, though, it might make them laugh. From the way you've been talking about them, they don't seem like saints." Adrien parted his lips, a soft chuckle forming, “I guess you could argue that even though Bigfoot might not really exist, the research behind finding him is probably still valid”

“Well, I only tell bad jokes. It’s not as if I’m a comedian or anything.” Nancy quickly dismissed the notion of her being funny.
She nodded as he continued talking, with an honest smile appearing on her face. “Yeah, that has something to do with it. I’m a child development major so I could go into more detail but, what you said is basically right.”
Adrien brushed her remark off, shaking his head, "No, there's no such thing as a bad joke! If you're trying to make someone laugh then it's good." He held his finger up as if to pause the moment, "Unless it's offensive, of course."
"Oh, well..." Adrien smiled softly, "I read it in a magazine that also had an article claiming to know where Bigfoot was. It's hard to tell what's credible these days. You don't happen to also major in Cryptozoology do you?"
“You know you’d do it for me if I wanted.” He teased, looking over at Adrien. “Alright I’ll get us a spot.” he promised as they entered, making his way to the bar. Thankfully there was room for the two of them and he waved over his friend. “You’re welcome.” He said, looking around at all the people. It was fairly full and he liked it. The hustle and bustle of everything made him feel involved for once. “So what will it take to get you singing and dancing?” He asked, looking over at Adrien.
Scoffing lightheartedly, Adrien stuck his hands in his pockets, "Well, that's not fair." He tilted his head to the side, shrugging as he thought about what Sidney had said, "It’s probably true, though." It was pretty to convince Adrien to do something. Adrien nodded sharply as his friend thanked him. “I want to say that it’d take a lot, but I’m a lightweight.” Actually, he wasn’t. Taking the lead, he maneuvered through the crowd and found two empty spots at the bar. "Should we be suspicious about these seats?" He asked, looking around the room, and hoping to avoid taking the seats away from anyone bigger than them.

“I’d like that. Maybe we could get up there and sing?” He said with a laugh, nudging his friend. “Let’s go. There’s a nightlife to be enjoyed!” He started heading in the direction of the tavern, excited to go and do something.
"I could probably carry a tune, but if there's dancing... I'm retreating to the back of the bar." He warned Sidney with a smile. Adrien followed alongside his friend for the rest of the way, pulling the door open when they got to the Tavern. "We should check to see if there's a spot at the bar." Sitting at a table at a bar never really felt right for Adrien. It was too far away from the alcohol.
‘’Oh, all right.’’She opened an envelope she’d brought and took out a picture of her patient’s most recent mugshot, passing it to the man.’’Perhaps this picture will jog your memory.’’
The guy did look a little familiar to him after seeing the picture, but he was a bit uncomfortable with admitting at it had been at a bar a couple of days before. "I think we’ve met before, but I haven’t seen him today." Adrien leaned in, "He's not in trouble, right? Because that sounded really official.”
“You’re not a shitty wingman. You’re a good wingman. Don’t worry.” He nudged the other guy. “I just don’t want to start yawning five seconds into going out. I’d feel like shit. I want to do this. We should definitely do this.”
"Alright, cool." Adrien smiled softly, feeling a bit more relaxed now. "Did you want to hit up Old World Tavern? I heard they're doing open mic night. Or open singing, I guess. If I can't keep you awake, maybe someone else can."
“No, no. It’s okay. I get it.” Nancy dismissed with a laugh, “She doesn’t sound like very fun. But yeah, my kids aren’t very fond of me either but it’s more so because their parents let them do whatever they want and I try to discipline them.”
"Yeah, not even a little bit." He laughed lightly at the memory of his former babysitter, “she definitely never told jokes, or said anything funny.”
"Isn't that where it always starts? Adrien asked, recalling an article he had read once in college, "Shitty behavior develops at home." So maybe he didn’t remember the title of the article, but he thought he might be close.
“Alright. I’ve had a energy shot that I chased with a redbull. I think I’m awake. I can do this. I can go out and have a normal night out without feeling like I’m so exhausted I can’t function!” He was hyping himself up more than anything. He couldn’t let this get the best of him. No matter how tired and run down he already felt.
"I'm feeling like I'm going to let you down a bit, but I'll try to make your night worthwhile. I'd hate for you to put in all this work and I'm a shitty wingman."
‘’Excuse me, I’m looking for my pati… my friend. He has blond hair and green eyes. Plus, has a small scar on his left cheek. I think I even have his picture in my notebook. I really need to find him and I will appreciate any help.’’
"No, I'm sorry. I haven't seen anyone like that around. But maybe if I saw the picture I'd recognize him?"
“That’s true, luckily, all I have to do is brush them off the sidewalk since I live here. But it’s always fun to shuffle around in them for the first couple of days. I usually don’t do that chore until someone tells me I need to.” He squinted his eyes and took it all in, laughing lightly. “Yeah! That’s what I was thinking too!” He nodded as Adrien talked, fascinated to hear an actor’s perspective. “Yes, yes! I can totally understand that. Putting yourself in the moment is very important, I would think. Authenticity!” He started to gather a few fake spiders in his arms before turning toward his companion. “Really? Oh, I could never get enough. The whole process is amazing, I think. Just amazing. I find criticism snuffs out passion. Why be critical when you can be enchanted?”
"They're only really fun when they're crunchy. It's kind of disappointing when you stomp on a leaf and it's soft. I don't know, it's the little things in life I guess." Adrien crinkled his brow in thought, "Does the street sweeper take care of the rest? There's a general appearance the town probably wants to keep."
He gave a halfhearted thumbs up as the prop was fitted to the side. "That's kind of important to us right now, authenticity. We lost some credibility with one of our movies because it was, uh... medically inaccurate. Carl helps, he's a decent guy." Adrien didn't know much about medical authenticity, but he could say that props were a lot weirder ever since Carl came on board. "I guess things aren't as enchanting as they used to be for me, so that's kind of shitty, but I don't regret getting into acting. I don't even know what I'd be doing if I hadn't followed in my brother's lead."
