"Indeed," muttered Gaster, the word a testament to distraction. Several hands materialized to grab up a technical handful of glass shards chosen by sight, and their source stepped close to an unadorned section of wooden wall. He tested the chosen shards against the wood to make sure they could gouge into it easily enough before he began to give mutual vision to what was rattling about that ol' egg of his.
It certainly wasn't a design for conventional turbines. He took consideration of the frozen ground they would be working upon into the visual aid he began to provide--side, front, and a basic inside floor plan housing the overall power collector all labelled in wingdings, of course. Everything could stand to be broken down further, but… Basic was basic and his chosen medium made such finer details difficult to carve.
Giving voice to some of those things would probably serve his purposes a little better, but he was preoccupied up until he wasn't. When he stepped back, the egghead looked less than impressed with his own endeavor. It had been quite some time since he had to do this sort of thing for others to be able to see. What was in his head was much more complex.
But it was probably for the best considering what, exactly, was in his head.
"What I have been considering, given the environment we will be working within, is for the turbines to be supported by a base structure, which will in turn house their separate generators which, in turn, will feed into one main generator." It was ambitious. They'd need a lot more materials than he'd grabbed on his initial foray into the rubble that was Hotland and the CORE, but that was par for the course no matter what they went with.
As he went on, he turned away from his hastily gouged blueprints and towards Red. "Depending upon what I can or cannot find, and can or cannot repair among them, the exact number of turbines and how they will feed into the main generator may, of course, vary. As for that generator's specific design… We can get to that when the need arises, and it depends upon how you wish for the collected power generated to be transported or otherwise utilized. Cables are a classic if you feel confident in being able to maintain them, but they are also the easiest to maintain."
It had felt like ages since Red had allowed his thoughts to travel to anything constructive, focused solely on things such as survival for far too long, and he almost felt out of sorts as he sat there watching his companion draft out the vision of what they were hoping to accomplish. It all seemed to materialize so briskly when multiple sets of hands could be utilized, something that he somehow felt a fleeting tinge of jealousy for. Regardless of how rudimentary it may have seemed when chiseled into wood like some tribal carvings, the concept of what Gaster was attempting to portray was not lost on him.
The blaster seemed to have found something to occupy itself in the meantime, nosing through upended furniture and crunching upon a table leg that he had unearthed.
Nodding along to the eggheads explanation, he took a moment to peer at the etching in consideration. "Tibia honest, I can't 'magine it would take more than one... I've been livin' all this time without 'lectricity an' it ain't like anyone else is down here who would need it." There was a bittersweet color to those words, as if the realization of his situation may have only been fully laying its weight upon his consciousness when he spoke it aloud. "Not like 'm gunna use that much."
