Also I've been trying to decide which fandom I want to do next for one of my longer stories, and I've been thinking of doing a Spider-Man fanfic, so this was small practice with writing Peter and the world of Spider-Man.

Spider-Man Masterlist
The restlessness of New York City buzzes beneath Peter's feet as he swings from building to building all the way home. He decided to call it a night since the city was actually quieter than usual, even if it seemed hard to believe. He was more than ready to call it night since last week he was fighting villains left and right, so a quiet day in-between days of chaos was a nice change.
Peter eventually stops his rhythmic swings and lands on top of a building that is next to his apartment building. He stands at the edge of the building and looks at the window to his apartment. He noticed the lights were on, and a silhouette was moving around the apartment. At the sight of the silhouette, he dives down to the alleyway below.
This was Peter's routine for the past four years since he moved in with you, his childhood best friend, and now, his college roommate.
Peter was prepared to have to deal with keeping his identity a secret, and there have been a few close calls in the past, but he's never been caught. He was willing to room with you for a lot of reasons, but there was one main reason.
The reason was that you kept to yourself and didn't pry into Peter's life. There was already a level of trust between the two of you, so you never questioned Peter on why he returned late or where he disappeared to. Peter originally thought that you would be asking him a bunch of questions, but he was surprised by how indifferent you were to him leaving for hours on end.
Peter looks around the alleyway and makes sure that he is the only one in it. After he makes sure that he is alone, he starts to take off his suit in the damp alleyway and stuffs it into a backpack that he hid in a cardboard box. He then grabs the backpack and swings it over one of his shoulders. He walks out of the alleyway and makes his way to the entrance of the apartment building. He pulls the door open and walks into the small lobby of the building. To his right was the elevator, to the left were the mailboxes, and in front of him was the staircase. Peter didn't debate his choice on whether he should pick the elevator or the stairs, and started to make his way to the right. He presses the button, and in a second, the elevator opens. He steps inside, and as the elevator is about to close and he is in the middle of pressing the button to his floor, a woman and her child walk into the lobby.
"Wait!" she calls out as she rushes to the elevator.
Peter quickly places his arm in between the closing doors and the doors halt before opening wide. Peter pulls his arm back and is met with the woman smiling at him. She pulls her child into the elevator and stands next to Peter.
"Thank you," she whispers to him as she presses the button to her floor. Peter nods and then presses the button to his floor. The buttons glow, and the elevator shuts. Peter can feel the elevator slowly rising up and rocking softly. Peter racks his eyes around the floor, and his eyes slowly trail up the woman and her child. His eyes stop at the sight of a keychain hanging off of one of the zippers on the child's backpack.
A small Spider-Man swings side to side from the elevator's movements, and Peter's eyes follow it.
This wasn't Peter's first encounter with his hero identity being turned into an item. He's seen plushes, t-shirts, costumes, and keychains. But the sight of these items hurt his head. It wasn't because he didn't like them. No, Peter enjoyed seeing them. It hurt his head because he couldn't understand that people wanted something with Spider-Man on it. Whether it be a plushie to cuddle with at night, a t-shirt to show off, a costume to be him for a day, or a keychain to take him everywhere.
It reminded Peter why he kept being Spider-Man.
Eventually, the elevator dinged, and the shiny, metal doors opened. The woman holds her child's hand and walks out of the elevator. The small Spider-man is now swinging in tandem with the child's footsteps. Peter smiles as the elevator closes and moves to his floor.
In a few seconds, Peter was on his floor. He steps out as a new set of people walk inside. He makes his way down the hallway to his apartment that he shares with you. Peter starts to dig into his pocket and comes to the realization that he can't find his keys. He lets out a sigh and deflates. He pats his pockets and only feels the absences of the key. He then swings the backpack off his shoulder and looks through the pockets. As he is wrestling with unzipping one of the pockets, the door clicks open. Peter quickly closes the backpack and stands straight.
Peter is met with the sight of you opening the door and takes notice of something new.
You're wearing a new set of pajama pants. Specifically, a set of Spider-Man pajama pants.
Peter's throat goes dry at the sight, and he doesn't hear what you say to him.
"Huh?" Peter utters.
"I said, did you lose your keys again?" you ask him as you open the door wide enough to let him in.
"N-No! I just... misplaced them," Peter fumbles out his words as he enters the apartment. Peter doesn't see it, but you playfully roll your eyes with a smile.
You close the door and lock it. You walk away from the door and follow Peter into the living room. The television was still on as a tub of ice cream sits on the coffee table with a spoon sticking out of it. Peter drops his backpack on the ground and takes a seat on the couch, and goes to grab the tub of ice cream and starts to eat it.
You take a seat next to him and lean back against the couch. You prop your feet on the coffee table, and Peter sees your pants again. The sight of the pants makes Peter want to ask a question. A question that he wondered ever since he became Spider-Man.
"You like Spider-Man?" Peter asks and points to your pants.
Your eyes look away from the television and to your pants. "Yeah, I do. I think he's a great guy. I had these for a while in my closet. It's getting a bit colder here, so I decided to wear them."
The words echo into Peter's ears.
You think he's a great guy. The sounds of those words made Peter relieved since he never knew what you felt towards Spider-Man, but the thought that you liked him made his heart jump with joy.
Even though Peter didn't fight any battles today, he sure did feel like a winner.

The wind howls and the leaves of the tall trees rustle. The moon glows down on a sacred temple, making the building bask in the moon's eternal glow. The intricate architecture of the temple is highlighted from the light, but unfortunately, the thick leaves of the trees obscure the divine temple from the average person's view.
Only the worthy and the desperate know about the location of the temple. The temple is built upon the beliefs that the weak should be disposed of so those who are strong can finally rest.
The leader of the temple, Suguru Geto, rested in his chamber and caught a glimpse of the full moon before his eyes would shut.
Suguru Geto doesn't usually dream, but when he does, he dreams of the past. A past that made him who he is today, but a past filled with those whom he left behind in order to follow what he believed in.

It is not just a name, nor is it just a person, but he is a piece of Suguru Geto. A part of him that has and will never be replaced despite his absences in Geto's life.
Before Geto left to create the world that he envisioned, he had not known a world without your presence. Even if Satoru Gojo took up a majority of his time at Jujuisu High, Geto still recognized that you meant a lot to him. After his sudden departure and declaration of hatred towards those who do not possess cursed energy, he didn't hear anything about you. He didn't even see you after the incident. He talked with Shoko Ieiri and Gojo one last time, but not you. Not the person who he knew the moment he was born, the person who he grew up with, and the person who understood him the best out of everyone he knew.
He never got to say goodbye.
Geto expected you to chase after him and find him. But you never came looking for him, and as far as Geto knew, you never looked for him.
Geto thinks about you every now and again, and he wonders what you thought of his deflection. Did you cry over him? Did you curse his existence? Or did you feel indifferent to it all?
Geto's heart aches at the thought that you didn't care enough for him or for the world he wants to create. He hates that he wants some type of reaction from you. Even if that reaction is a negative one, it would be better than the imagined stoic nature he believes that you are currently feeling.
Despite shutting his eyes, Geto is unable to sleep.
Geto slowly raises from his bedding and lets out a sigh. His silk blankets pool around his lap as he sits up. Geto stays sat up for a few moments, and right before he takes the edge of the blanket and drapes it over himself again, he hears a sound coming from behind the screen door. He swiftly gets up from his bed and walks over to the screen door. He can faintly see a silhouette on the other side since the lights in the hallways are turned on. His heart stops for a moment since the silhouette looks familiar, but he doesn't want his desires to lead him astray, so he opens the door.
"Sugu..."
Suguru Geto hardly ever falters in his demonier. It's the reason as to why he was able to become a leader. He is confident and composed. He knows what to say at the right time, and his actions are arrestive.
Suguru Geto never waivers.
"I've missed you."
Until now, that is.
Suguru stands in the doorway and is unmoving. He doesn't know what to do with the sight of you standing in front of him.
The man who he thinks about every day for the past ten years. He no longer needs to think about you because you stand before him in all your glory.
Geto wants to pull you close and see your face clearly. A face that, in his mind, is still stuck in your high school years.
Geto is thinking about what he should do or say, but you quickly cup his hand in yours. You pull his hands close to your chest, and you step into the room.
"I've been thinking about what you said, and you're right."
Your face is masked by the darkness of the room, but with an upward tilt of your head, he is able to see your eyes. The same ones he's been thinking about for a decade, and he is able to catch a glint in them filled with depravity.
"All non-socrors must die."
Suguru Geto practically leaps from his bed, and his cheat heaves up and down. He looks around the room and finds zero sight of you.
"That can't be..." Geto whispers to himself because he can't believe that his mind would create such a realistic dream. Geto was quickly able to recognize that his mind was playing tricks on him and that you never showed up. Geto hated that a simple dream was able to make him tremble.
But it wasn't just a simple dream. It was a dream grounded in Suguru Geto's desire for you to come to his side and fight alongside him.

Her little footsteps echo around the estate, and her giggles give life to the once quiet backyard. She frolics in the field, and the blades of grass tickle her knees.
She watches her step diligently because her father scolded her last week for getting her pink kimono layered with dirt. She whined to her father and said that she was only having fun. Her father couldn't stay mad at her for long and laughed.
The little girl runs over to the Koi fish pond and leans forward to watch the fish zoom around in the pond. She puts her hand out and waves to them, but some swim off or don't see her at all. She lets out a giggle at the sight of them and takes her hand back.
She takes her pointer finger and sticks it in the water, and starts to swirl it around. Her once pristine reflection is warped, and the fishes quickly leave and go to the other side of the large pond.
Her childlike wonder forbids her from ever seeing the world in a dull light.
The surface of the pond resets back to its original state, and the fish come swimming back. She looks down at her reflection again, and she notices someone standing behind her. She doesn't see the danger that the man with snowy hair and azure colored eyes poses to her or the people in the estate.
She turns around and happily greets the man standing a few feet away from her.
"Hello!"
The man looks down at her but does not respond. She cocks her head to the side. She's confused as to why the man is ignoring her. But the man isn't ignoring her, instead he is giving all his attention to her. The man crouches down and takes in the little girl's features. The one thought that runs through his mind is how much she looks like her father.
"Are you one of daddy's friends?" she asks and the man snaps out of his daze.
Could Satoru Gojo call you a friend?
The two of you didn't interact much in high school, but then again you mostly spent your time with Shoko Ieiri or the underclassmen. You started to drift away from your childhood friend, Suguru Geto, and Satoru practically ended up taking your spot. Satoru always felt that you held a level of enmity towards him, but he could never confirm it. It didn't help either that he saw you as weaker than himself and Geto, so he teased you and even hassled you when you came back from missions with bruises and wounds.
"No," is all he said as he stood up straight. He looked down at her one last time before teleporting back to the temple where Suguru Geto was waiting for him.
The little girl blinks and looks around for the man. Her young mind couldn't understand how he was there one moment and the next it was as if he never existed at all.
She looked in the pond, under rocks, behind bushes, and beneath the stairs of the estate. She checked everywhere she could get her hands on, just for another meeting with the mysterious man with white hair and blue eyes.
Familiar footsteps are heard approaching, and the girl looks down at her pink kimono. She lets out a whine at the sight of dirt coating the front, and clutches the fabric in her hands.
"It's time to eat– don't tell me you got dirty again," you gently walk down the steps and approach your daughter. You pick her up and she holds on to your neck.
"Sorry... but-"
"I know you like playing in the garden, but you can't always get dirty."
"I saw a man."
You look over to her, and the words get stuck in your throat. You couldn't comprehend the thought that there was a man here within the estate, and who was in close proximity to your daughter.
You hold your daughter tightly, "He didn't hurt you, right?"
"No! He was mysterious! He disappeared after I asked if he was your friend, and he said no. It was mean of him to say that and then leave!" she continues to tell her story about the man, "I was trying to find him, and that's why I got dirty... I thought I would be able to find him since he looked odd."
"How did he look odd?" your daughter is too occupied trying to remember what made the man look weird, that she didn't notice the distress in your eyes. Your mind was swirling with ideas of who the man could be. You even started to wonder if the man was actually a curse that she mistook for a human, but you couldn't see any curses in the area.
"White and blue! He had white hair and blue eyes!" she blurts out.
You almost end up dropping her.
You knew exactly who she was talking about, and it made you weak that he would come here and interact with your daughter. He could've done anything to her or even to you, but instead he left swiftly and without a trace.
Now, that she mentioned him you could feel remnants of his curse energy floating through the air. You wondered if he learned of a way to mask the traces of it since you didn't immediately recognize it.
You rub your daughter's back and let out a sigh. She places both of her arms around your neck, while your head rests on her shoulder. Your eyes survey the area, but it's no use, he used his technique to quickly leave.
You had no idea why he came here, and you would rather not know. You would rather go the rest of your life forgetting that he got this close to your daughter, and to you.
You turn around and slowly walk up the steps and into the estate.

*Bonus Chapter* Ayato Aishi's Ending - Happily with You

Note: I've had a few requests asking for a happy ending with Ayato, so here it is ◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜!!
This ending basically takes place in another timeline where most of the events of Lock didn't happen. I think for Ayato to get a happy ending with the reader, then he would have had his eyes set on the reader from the get-go. So, that means that he wouldn't have liked Teako at all, and he wouldn't have killed anyone since he's already friends with the reader and it would just be a means of keeping you close and further developing your relationship with him. Which also means that the reader wouldn't have friendships with Taro, Hanako, Kizano, Osoro, and Saikou (but I do feel that the events of Mido and Mujo would still take place, for the most part).
But that's my little tangent about how this ending would even happen in the first place (ᵕ—ᴗ—). Anyways, enjoy!!
The house was still the same as how the Aishi's left it.
The walls were still beige, the wooden furniture still spread throughout the house, and the kitchen countertop still had their shine.
Except things were different.
It started with the small things. The comforter of the bed was a different color, the kitchen now holds two-thirds of the plates and utensils it once had, one of the bedrooms was now vacant, and the picture frame captured a separate couple.
That couple is you and Ayato.
The picture was taken when the two of you first moved into his childhood home. Ryoba Aishi, Ayato's mother, taking the picture in front of the home. She was so eager that day. She was smiling ear to ear and talked with her usual upbeat tone.
It was as if a dream was coming true for her.
But the same couldn't be said for her husband, Jokichi Aishi. He stood behind her with his arms at either side of his waist and narrow eyes.
You specifically remember his eyes because it seemed like he was searching for something. You never understood what he was looking for, and if he ever did find it, but you do think back on it ever now again when you're left alone.
Either way, it was a beautiful day for you and Ayato's family.
The two of you happily moved in with each other after he asked if you would marry him.
Now, Ayato didn't get down on one knee and ask you, nor did he scream it to the world like many others would– but you still remember it as if he did do those two things.
You still remember his rough hands cupping your softer ones and running his thumbs over your knuckles. How his jet-black eyes that usually held indifference changed on a whim to instead hold love– love only for you.
"Will you marry me?"
You accepted and repeated 'Yes' for minutes on end until the two of you were ready to celebrate and discuss what would happen next.
The two of you now sit next to one another on the couch while watching television. You cuddle up next to Ayato's form as he's slumped against the arm rest of the couch.
This was a part of your nightly routine with your husband.
Ayato would come home from work, the two of you would eat together, then get ready to lounge around, watch some TV together, and finally get ready for bed and sleep.
It was simple which you liked and Ayato loved.
His hand glides over your back in a repeated motion as if he is trying to convince himself that you're real. You end up moving closer to him, and he rests his hand on your hip.
"Sleepy?" asks your husband, and you only give a yawn in response, "How about we go to bed."
He takes the remote and switches off the television with one click. He slowly rises up from the couch and lifts you up by your hand. You follow closely behind your husband as he moves through the darkness of the living room.
Ayato gets ready quickly for bed, as opposed to your sluggish movements. Ayato watches as you throw on a snug sweater to fight off the cold, drifting in.
You let out another yawn as you approach the bed with Ayato on his side of it already. You move in and take your rightful place next to him. You move closer to him and hug his arm. Despite this being normal behavior between the two of you for years now, Ayato still can't get used to it. His face flares up, and his pale skin has a tinge of pink blooming. A fuzziness also starts to spread throughout his chest and wraps around his heart. It squeezes it tightly, and he can't help but imagine that it's your hand holding his heart. Declaring that his love is all yours.
You reach for the lamp next to you and turn it off with a swift tug of its chain. The lamp's dim light goes out with a click, and you lay down next to your husband.
Ayato assumes that you would fall asleep right after the light turned off, but instead, you whisper a phrase into the air.
"I love you, goodnight."
Ayato can hear you rustle beneath the blanket, and right before he can say anything, he can hear your soft breathing.
Ayato is now left alone with his thoughts, and all he can think about is everything he had to go through in order to have you all to himself. Blood had to be spilled, and people had to be pushed to the side so he could keep his spot in your life.
It was a lot of work, but it was worth it in the end to him since you two are together, and Ayato is planning to keep that for as long as he can.
He's just happy that he didn't have to break you into the role.
You don't know who he is, but he knows you very well.
He's been doing this for the past few months ever since he found out about what happened between you and Ayato. With his high status, it was easy for him to gain access to the documents of the case and piece together everything between you and Ayato.
You had nothing to hide because he knew everything.
He's planned this day for the past few weeks because he knows how you're living. Going from hotel to hotel and wandering the streets. Megamo would consider it a pity for someone to be living like this, but his tune changed when it came to you.
He didn't find it to be a pity. He found it to be unfair. Unfair because you had all the cards in your favor– cards that would make you wealthy not only with money but with people who love you.
Saikou has a theory. It was one that he felt was farfetched, but he believed that, if true, it could finally help solve the puzzle that he was slowly piecing together for months.
And he just needed you to finally solve it.
And on cue, you walk into a cafe. Saikou signaled his chauffeur to stop and park on the side of the street. His chauffeur obeyed and parked in front of the cafe.
For a moment, Saikou felt grateful for his father. Saikou was grateful because his father hid his identity for years, and Saikou still refused to show himself to the public. This saved Saikou from the hassle of having to hide himself from the public's prying eyes.
So, Saikou exited his car, and no one turned to look at him. His neutral expression turns into a small smile at his invisibility to the public.
He closes the car door and starts to make his way to the cafe. Saikou took note that you would visit this cafe every other day and get a small coffee and a pastry. Saikou quickly found out that this would usually be your only meal for the day until tomorrow came.
But today, he was planning on changing that.
Saikou watches you through the window of the establishment, and follows you with his eyes as you sit down near the back. He makes his way inside, and makes a beeline towards you.
Saikou was now a few feet away from you, and he could feel his nerves acting up. This would be the first time in years since he's seen you.
And he already knew that you didn't know him.
"Hello," he greets you, and you look up from your pastry to him. Your face morphs into one of confusion, but you are able to respond to his greeting.
Saikou decided it was time to dive straight into the problem, "I know about Ayato."
You freeze.
The pastry that was in your hand slips and falls on the table, and you lock eyes with Saikou.
"Excuse me?" You look up at Saikou with fear and disbelief. Your mind was running wild with thoughts about who he could be, and what relation he could have to either you or Ayato.
Saikou takes a seat in front of you, and you have no choice but to let him. You revert your eyes away from him, but you do take in his appearance a moment before you look away. You found him to be interesting because you've never seen someone like him before. His pristine white hair styled perfectly, lilac eyes that could hold kindness but instead are filled with indifference, and clothes that subtly speak that he is wealthy beyond comprehension. He didn't look like a Yakuza member. No, he looked like someone above underground crime.
"I know who Ayato is, and I know you too," he bluntly states, and you still can't understand it. There was no one, as far as you know, who knows about you and Ayato.
But then you started thinking. You started to think about your past and what you could still remember about it. This man did look familiar, but it was hard to tell from where.
So, you respond quickly, "How?"
"I know you because we used to be friends, and as for Ayato, I knew him because of school. Are you satisfied?" Saikou knows that his response is leaving out key points. The major points being about his investigation into Ayato and how it failed before it even took off. He was going to eventually tell you about that, but he knew that it would be best to withhold the information until the time was right to reveal it.
"I guess I am," you weren't truly satisfied, but you wanted to know what this man wanted, "Is there anything else you want to tell me? You did say you know Ayato, but what do you know?"
"I know he hurts you."
Saikou notices that you're clutching your coffee tightly, and it worries him that the liquid is going to explode all over the table. You release your grip from the cup, and you recompose yourself. You didn't even expect to have a reaction like that, but it was clear to both of you that the situation is still a sensitive one to talk about.
"An-And how do you know that?" your voice wavers, and you push yourself up against your seat.
Saikou's neutral face falls, and a frown takes its place. He knows your reaction is valid, and he recognizes that he isn't the best person when it comes to emotional situations, but he desperately wants to give you comfort.
"I know that because... I've been looking for you, and I was able to find out about what you did to him."
You grip the hem of your baggy sweater and look up at him. You still weren't sure what he wanted from you, so you finally stand your ground and sound out what you've been thinking since he first approached you.
"Are you here to hurt me?"
Saikou's usual stoic face turns into one of guilt. Your response reveals a lot about what you feel and what you think about him. He starts to wonder if you're thinking of him in the same way you saw Ayato– as a danger.
"No," Saikou responds quickly to your accusation, "I'm here because I've been wondering what happened to you after high school, and that wondering amplified when I found out what happened between you and your husband."
Saikou takes note that you become embarrassed at the mention of Ayato being your husband, but he also takes note that your jaw clenches. A clear sign that you feel a certain way about Ayato.
"Don't call him that... just tell me why you're even here. Why do I interest you so much?" Saikou starts to think about his answer. He needed to pick his words wisely because what he is going to share is going to make you understand more about yourself.
"We knew each other in high school, and you caught my interest at the time because of your reporting skills. After you graduated, you disappeared. Eventually, I found out about your arrangement with Ayato, and shortly after that... you did what you did," you nod along with what he says, and he hopes your nods aren't just for show. Sakiou wants you to understand that you meant something to him for him to do all this digging.
Deep in your heart, you felt that he wasn't giving you all the information he knew, but you set those feelings aside.
"So, you're here because we once knew each other?" you question.
"Yes, that's the basics of it," you were ready to respond, but he continued, "It's also because I know how much all of this impacted you."
"How do you know that?" Your voice heightens, and Saikou thinks about how to gain your trust since it looks like you're ready to wiggle out of his grasp and go into hiding.
"I've done research, and it would also make sense, wouldn't it? Your mind is a wreck. You have no idea what your life was like before him. It's as if all you've known is him, so you wander the streets because the one and only person you know is gone, and you have no one to turn to. But I'm here to change that," Saikou's response is stern and states every sentence as a fact.
Yet, you don't buy it.
"You want to be my savior or something?" you cross your arms over your chest.
Saikou narrows his eyes towards you, and it only makes you squirm in your seat. "No. I'm not here to be your hero. You don't need a hero. I'm here to bring guidance to your life," he gives you a clipped response.
After his response, a thick silence wraps around the two of you. You don't say anything, and Saikou doesn't dare to either. Your lips quirk up, ready to say something, but then you force your lips into a thin line to hold yourself back. Saikou wants you to let go and respond to him. He decides to say something.
"I told you I'm a friend. I care about y-"
"If you cared, then why didn't you step in when he was doing all those things to me!" your voice raises to the highest it's ever been, and people turn to look at the both of you.
Saikou, who wanted privacy, knew that it was best to end the conversations here. But it wouldn't be the end of everything.
Saikou pulls out a card from his coat pocket and slides it over the wooden table to you. Your eyes look down at the card, and notice it's a business card with his information.
"You can shove it into your pocket, crumble it into a ball, or forget about it completely. But don't rip it or throw it away. Just keep it. You might change your mind about having this conversation. Come to me when you made your decision," Saikou doesn't miss a beat with his last comments and his exit. He slips out of the restaurant, and you're forced to watch him disappear among the other customers.
You look down at the card and slowly move your hand to pick it up. The card was made out of high-quality white cardstock, and the information on the card was raised and dyed with lilac, which complemented the pure white of the card. You look over the card, and you let out an audible gasp as you read the name on the card.

You couldn't believe that you just talked to the CEO of one of the biggest companies in the world. And it didn't help that you told him off.
You sit in silence as you nursed the last remaining drops of your coffee while looking at the card. The sight of the name on the card made you wonder how you knew such a powerful man.
You needed answers, and you were going to make sure you got them.

A few days passed before you called the number from a pay phone right outside your hotel.
Your pointer finger impatiently taps against the shell of the phone. A ring or two fills the air before the call is picked up.
"Hello?" Saikou's refined voice rings through your ear, and you respond with a shaky tone.
"I'm happy that you called me. Would you like to continue our conversation?" This was the moment of truth, and you were ready to grasp it.
"Yes."
"Great. Tell me where you are. Make sure to pack everything, and I'll arrive as soon as possible."
You tell him the location of your hotel.
Shortly after, the call goes dead, and you hang up the phone with new hope.

Saikou kept his word, and it didn't take long for him to come in his sleek car. You quickly boarded the car with your items, and you were met with the sight of him sitting on the polished leather of the backseat with his hands cupped in his lap.
Before you could get a greeting in, Saikou beat you to it.
"We'll talk once we make it to the hotel."
You slowly nod at his response, and you take your seat. Saikou sat on the far left, and you sat on the far right, the middle seat creating a border between the two of you.
Throughout the car ride, you grip the fabric of your pants tightly, and Saikou's hands fidget against each other as both of you give furtive glances to one another without either knowing.

The hotel that Saikou was staying at blew you away. It was oozing with elegance and wealth.
You could never imagine yourself booking a room in such a place, but it was an easy reality for the CEO of the Saikou corporation.
Saikou didn't waste any time and guided you to his hotel room, while a bell boy hauled your items to the room. Once the two of you were situated in his room, Saikou took a seat on the plush chair that sat in the middle of the room along with a coffee table and another chair across from it. You took a seat on one of the chairs, and now the two of you had peace and quiet.
"Would you like an explanation of our relationship first? I'm ready to bare it all to you, unlike the first time we met," Sakiou acknowledges his lack of transparency during the initial conversation, and that eased your nerves. You might finally gain information that will make you understand everything better.
"Yes. Tell me everything," you give him an audible agreement, and he nods at your approval.
"We knew each other in high school. This was due to you being my guide. I had you guide me during my return, and told me everything that the school was up to during my absence. But you being my guide was also a test. A test to see if you would be fitted to be integrated into the school council. I was the president of the school council, to add more context. Eventually, I would offer you the position, and you accepted it."
You nod along with what Saikou said, and it seemed straightforward enough. He was just trying to recruit you into the student council, and that would explain how he knew you and why he went out of his way to find you after so long. Yet, you wondered why you were picked as his guide.
"Sorry if I'm interrupting, but why was I your guide?" you pose the question to Saikou, and he starts to think about it himself.
"It was due to many reasons. The first was that we needed to start recruiting new members due to some of them graduating, myself included. We had two spots filled in, but we needed one more. We decided it would be best to find a student who was already enrolled. We landed on you because your reputation with other students was great, which made you respectable to the student body. And the other reason was...," Saikou pauses, and it seems he doesn't want to reveal the additional reason for your recruitment, "It was due to your connection to Ayato Aishi."
"My connection?" you question, and he curtly nods.
"Yes. You're childhood friends with him," you nod.
"I remember that," you reveal the information which piques Saikou's interest.
He lets out a sigh and continues, "One of the other reasons as to why I left was because there was a disappearance of a student on school grounds. I suspected that he was kille and that Ayato was the one who caused it. I took a leave of absence and continued my studies online. I would eventually come back, and you would be my guide. You would tell me everything that would happen, but it also gave me time to learn who you were and what you could bring to the table."
Saikou's words sat with you, and you thought about the disappearance of the student. You were unsure if Ayato had any role to play with the disappearance since you don't have much reconciliation of it. But it made you wonder why Saikou would even consider Ayato to be the one who did it.
"I made you my right hand-man. Our first task together as a duo was to crack down on danger."
That last word caught your interest, and you had a feeling where it was going to lead.
Saikou took a deep breath and locked eyes with you. His lilac eyes were fired up with a lividness that wasn't directed at you but at the past. And then he spoke the words that you were expecting.
"Ayato was this danger. I had a feeling that he was the one who caused that student to disappear. The main issue with my suspension was finding evidence that he did what I believe he did," Saikou looks away from you, and a burning question starts to form in your head and you eventually utter it.
"Did it work?"
But you knew the answer to the question. Because if it was a yes, then you wouldn't be here with Saikou talking about it.
"No. I told my father about it, and he seemed willing at first. At that point, I had a decent amount of evidence, and I truly believed that I could get something more concrete if my father would help me. During that time, an anonymous individual said that they would leak information about the Saikou Corporation, and my father thought that it would be best to call it all off," Sakiou lets out a sigh, "So, no. Nothing came from our investigation."
"So, what about tracking me down?" You ask the next question, which is all you could really do since Saikou held all the answers for you.
"I didn't know much about your whereabouts until recently. I thought that you just disappeared off the face of the Earth, and I just accepted it. It wasn't until I caught wind of what happened on the news, and that's when I found out it was you. I talked to a few people working the case, and they gave me more details, mainly about you. I put the pieces together, and I found out it really was you, and the man was Ayato. I then tried to find the perfect moment to speak to you, and I eventually did, but you didn't see it as a perfect moment, so I backed down."
Saikou finishes his explanation and looks over to you. His eyes now held an emotion that was now directed at you, and it was apologetic. An apology that he wanted to give, but couldn't find the right words to do so. So his soft, lilac eyes did it for him.
And you nodded your head.
Accepting his apology.
"I'm happy you found me," you turn your head away from him, "It means a lot since I don't have anyone anymore."
"Can you explain that to me? How did you get to this point?" Even if it seemed that Saikou had all the answers to your past, he didn't have the ones that pertain to your present.
You shallow hard and grip the fabric of your pants, "He... abused me. I'm actually not sure if that's the right word. I'm actually not even sure if a word exists for it. Either way, he stripped me of who I once was. He hurt me so badly that I forgot who I was. I forgot you. I forgot my parents. I forgot my friends, if I had any. But I never forgot him."
You close your eyes, and Ayato's face flashes in your mind. It was specifically when you dug the knife into his chest. The upset look he gave you, right before his eyes, would drain of life.
Saikou pursed his lips and thought of what to say as you kept your eyes closed. The explanation was hard for you to say, and it was hard for Saikou to understand. He knew that something wasn't right with Ayato since high school, but it never crossed his mind that he could do psychological damage. Saikou believed that Ayato's skill set was grounded in death and deception. So, hearing your psychological torture at his hand made him wonder more about what Ayato could do.
Saikou picked up the conversation despite your silence, "So, he psychologically abused you until your mind forgot about everything except him. That's interesting. I never thought he could do something like that. I'm terribly sorry for what he did. If I had known, I would have dealt with him myself."
You shake your head and open your eyes to look at him, "No. It's not your fault. You did what you could, and I'm not going to blame you for something that you had no control over. I'm just glad that you decided to find me after all these years. I'm grateful."
Saikou gets up from his seat and walks over to your slumped form. He bends down and wraps his arms around your shoulders. His touch ignites something within you, and tears start to fall.
You place your hands on his back and your eyes close. Your sobs fill the quiet room, and Saikou's grip only gets more firm.
"I'll help you. I'll always be here for you. You'll never be alone again."

Super sorry about my late response to this ask. When I got this ask, I was plagued with writer's block and I got sick, so it postponed me from publishing the chapters that are now up. Thankfully, I have a good amount of motivation back and I’m no longer sick! I’m sure you guys understand since you’ve all been understanding of the hiatuses that I take.(ㅅ´ ˘ `)
Also, I’m glad that you enjoyed Lock!! It means a lot to me that people have been enjoying it during my absence!!₍₍⚞(˶>ᗜ<˶)⚟⁾⁾ As for the other ideas that I have planned, I’m looking to see which fandom I’m going to write a long form story for. I have a few fandoms in mind and I’ve written prologues for a few of them, I just need to pick which one I actually want to write for the long term. I’m also going to publish a few oneshots that I have in my drafts for other fandoms that I have written over the past year. I was planning on publishing them in August of last year, but I decided I will publish them after Lock is done. As for Yansim, I will still write for it, but I doubt I will write a long form story like Lock, I’ll most likely stick to oneshots or headcannons, and continue to accept asks about Lock. For my side account, I’m going to publish a new story with my Oc’s soon, so you can check that out if you’re interested in Oc x reader content.
Okay, enough of me and my explanation on future works, let’s talk Osoro!
So, in Lock I only briefly mention that Osoro had feelings for you before the first killing– basically meaning that Osoro had interest in you first before Ayato ever did. Which heightened the tension between the two of them. And that’s all that’s mentioned about that. I never went in depth with it, but due to your ask being sent before I finished the chapter, I decided to add a more in-depth explanation in his ending. But I will go over an overall explanation in this post.
So for the how: Osoro caught feelings for you because you didn’t judge him. He fully expected you to judge him since it seemed likely that you would know all about his dangerous lifestyle due to you being in a club that seeks the truth. Instead, you didn’t bat an eye at him. Which made him wonder why you don’t seem to care for him. He started to observe you from afar whenever he would spot you, and slowly caught feelings for you because he took note of your personality. He liked how you kept to yourself, and were kind to others. Eventually, Osoro would be expelled on the grounds that he was the one who killed the first-year. Osoro wouldn’t be sent to court, and him being expelled was to make the public believe that something was being done about the killing. This caused students to fear him or judge him, but you still didn’t bat an eye. Even with this crime attached to his name, you didn’t hound him down for an interview when he did come back– instead another reporter would do so. Osoro would then use her as a way to make you come to him, and that’s how your relationship started.
So for the when: Osoro caught feelings for you during your first-year, when you were still a reporter and not the leader, so you were doing a lot of interviews in order to build up your portfolio. So, Osoro had feelings for you way before Ayato ever did.

You become paralyzed at the sound of someone's voice practically barking at you. Your mind started to whirl with thoughts about what you could've done to make someone shout at you.
Your heart clenched at the thought of it being Ayato.
Your breathing waivers, and it didn't have time to recompose itself as a heavy hand places itself on your shoulder. You let out a gasp and quickly turn around. You almost fell backwards, but the same hand that startled you was the same one to ground you.
You were met with a man that you could only describe in one word: Dangerous. You didn't want to be rude, but he embodies everything that sets those alarms off.
His blonde shaggy hair that falls around his shoulders in dramatic layers, his golden eyes that gives you a glimpse into a soul that has never known rest, a tattered black jacket that knows what a fight is like, callous hands that are littered with scars of battles that he has come victorious from, and a height that automatically dwarfs yours.
Yet.
His expression oozes with worry and hope.
"It's you. It's really you," he whispers as he slowly lets go of you. He looks down at the ground, and even though he scared you before, you can't find it within yourself to leave him.
"Aren't you going to say something," he mumbles out and looks at you.
You jump, "I'm-I'm sorry." You shrink a little at the sound of your stutter, but you were unsure of how to explain to him the loss of your memories. It was still something you were trying to grapple with.
He lets out a small chuckle, "You better be sorry. You left me after you went to college, and I finally found you..." He looks at your appearance and is left confused. It seemed he expected you to be wearing something different than the simple, old clothing you were wearing.
"Listen, I don't know who you are," you bluntly state, and you were unsure if that was the right approach because his expression shifts. It goes from a sliver of hope to full-blown betrayal.
"It's going to be like that, huh? I thought... nevermind," he was about to turn on his heel and walk the opposite way.
"No!" You quickly cover your mouth, and he turns around and gives you his attention one last time, "I didn't mean it like that. It's just... I lost my memories. It's hard to explain. I'm sorry for hurting you."
Your weak voice cuts straight to the man's heart, and he turns back to you. You let out a sigh of relief.
"You lost your memories?" He mulls over what you revealed, and it didn't seem like he believed you, which made you deflate.
"I did. I know it sounds odd. It sounds like something from a book or movie, but it's true."
But as the man stood in front of you with crossed arms and frowned brows, he started to look familiar. Your heart was beating fast, and your mind was overwhelmed with thoughts about the man and how the man could be someone you once knew.
Someone that you could never forget.
"It's a lot, but I wouldn't mind telling you."
"Aren't I just a stranger to you?"
"You are, but..." Your heart aches at the man's words, "I have a feeling that you meant something to me before. I trust you."
The man's eyes widened. He hates that he was ready to call it quits so quickly. He should've never doubted that your soul still remembers him.
"I'll tell you my name, and I'll take you somewhere we used to go to," the man takes a step close to you and takes in your features. You barely changed, but the eyebags and tried eyes showed that something was different.
"And your name?"
"Osoro Shidesu."

You were reluctant to follow the man anywhere, and you were sure no one would blame you, given how he carries himself and what he did to capture your attention.
But you couldn't let the opportunity slip away. You know deep within your heart that this man was a piece to the messy puzzle that Ayato left you to solve. You quickly change the subject within your mind since the last thing you want is being hit with more memories of that night.
Your attention was now on where Shidesu was taking you. You asked before you boarded his motorcycle, but he only gave you a cryptic answer that made you question your relationship to the man.
"It's the place where you promised me something," he stated before putting the helmet on his head and waiting for you to get on.
You thought the answer sounded so... sappy. You didn't expect a guy like him to say such a thing, and his tone didn't help. He said it with a soft sigh, one that seemed to reveal that the place he was taking you meant something great to him.
Then the question was: What did you promise to him? Your mind couldn't even think of what it could be. You knew it had to be something sentimental, so something trivial couldn't be it.
His tone.
His attitude.
His reaction.
His words.
You concluded that this guy was either a good friend or he meant something more to you. You didn't want to jump to the heavy conclusion that maybe Shidesu was an ex-lover or a possible lover. You decided that Shidesu must be a friend who was hurt due to your unexplained absence, and you have lingered on his mind since then.
You nod your head as you feel the harsh winds hit your body due to the high speeds of the motorcycle. And you could only wonder what this place could be.

With Shidesu's fast motorcycle, it didn't take long for the two of you to make it to the destination that was unknown to you, but all too familiar to Shidesu.
You quickly got off the motorcycle and shivered at the cold winds blowing past the abandoned buildings. You took in the sight of the buildings, and they look mildly familiar. The buildings are covered in thick vines and moss, windows are broken and the glass shards are scattered on the ground, the walls of the buildings are cracked and discolored, but faint sounds could be heard as if people still lived here.
Shidesu starts to walk away from you, and you scurry to follow him.
As the two of you walk between the towering buildings, you could feel yourself shrinking due to the uncertainty of what would happen next.
In the distance, you start to hear the sound of loud music and booming voices. You thought that it would help you with your anxiousness, but it didn't. The two of you walked deeper and eventually saw where the voices and music were coming from.
Light was spilling outside one of the buildings, and people were crowded around the entrance. Some people looked over to the both of you and gave greetings to Shidesu, but none acknowledged your existence. Shidesu looks over his shoulder and looks down at you, but he quickly looks forward after verifying that you're close to him.
More people start to see Shidesu, and the crowd at the entrance steps to the side and lets him through, and you quickly follow behind in case the crowd closes off the entrance again.
Inside of the building was a completely different world compared to the abandoned buildings right outside. The music was louder and you could feel it piercing your eardrums and vibrating your body, there's barely enough room to move around so you butted shoulders with others and bumped into backs, and the tables were close together so you had to maneuver around them unless you wanted to spill someone's drink. Eventually, you and Shidesu found an empty table towards the back. There's significantly fewer people, and it seemed the music didn't fully reach the area.
He sat in front of you, so the two of you could have some space from each other and also look at each other.
You felt nervous, but Shidesu felt awkward. He started to wonder if taking you here was the right move. He knew it was loud and overcrowded, but once you said that you didn't remember him because of an incident that warped your memories, he thought that taking you here would make your memories come back to you. It also didn't help that Shidesu wasn't too good at expressing his feelings, and he didn't fare much better with talking to others about their own feelings.
But he couldn't sit in silence with you. He needed to step up and ask you the questions.
"What happened?"
You jumped at Shidesu's question because the two of you were quiet for what felt like forever. His question did snap you out of your trance and let you think about what caused your memory loss.
You could feel your stomach quaver and your heart hammer against your chest at the thought of what caused your memory loss. Your mind flashed to the photos that you found and the notes written on the back.
Ayato was gone, but he lingered in every aspect of your life afterwards.
And you didn't know how to explain to Shidesu, a man that you knew but didn't at the same time, about what Ayato did to you.
But eventually, you were able to find the words to make the conversation move.
"Do you know someone by the name of Ayato?" Your question cut through the thick silence, and that silence came back but with aggravation attached to it. Shidesu narrowed his eyes at you, and you could see his right fist clench.
"I do. Why? Why are you bringing him up?"
"I was just wondering," your words spilled out of your mouth fast and clipped. You didn't mean to sound defensive, but it was clear that Shidesu didn't like Ayato, and it started to make you wonder.
"I do know him. What made you wonder if I did? Even better, why do you remember him and not me?" Shidesu at first sounded frustrated, but his frustration died down and morphed into sorrow.
"I was wondering because... I don't know how to tell you this."
"Listen, I don't want to force it out of you. Just take your time. How about I tell you about Ayato from my perspective? Would that make you feel a little better about opening up?"
You liked what Shidesu proposed and nodded at his proposition.
"Okay, I am going to be blunt and say that I hated that bastard. In high school, I knew him, and he ran in my gang for a little while. On the night where he was supposed to get initiated into the group, he talked with me privately about you," Shidesu looked to the side and became quiet, it was odd given that he was telling his story quickly without long pauses, "We had a conversation about you. He told me to stay away from you, and I told him that I wouldn't. He got angry and left, but he ended up going over to your house and lied to you about me. The initiation consisted of fighting a rival gang, and he had a few bruises, and he came crying to you, saying that I was the one who hurt him."
"Did I believe him?"
"You did. But I don't blame you. He was very good at getting his way, so don't beat yourself up about it."
You tilt your head down and let out a sigh. You didn't want to believe it, but it seemed that your fate was sealed long before you even knew it. You mulled over Shidesu's words, more specifically how Ayato was the type of man to always get his way. That comment piqued your interest since it revealed so much about him, and it would explain how he was able to keep you hidden for so long.
"So, are you going to tell me about him?" Shidesu snaps you out of your thoughts, and you give him a slow nod.
You could feel your hands start to get clammy, and your legs started to shake. It was clear that you could trust Shidesu, and it was even better that he didn't like Ayato since it might make what you're about to say more believable than someone who only saw his good side.
Yet, the fear consumed you because it would be your first time opening up to someone about Ayato. Jokichi Aishi already had a feeling about everything, but Shidesu was different, he didn't know anything.
"It's complicated. I have a feeling that you will believe me, but it's a lot," you whisper and cross your arms over your chest.
"Maybe it's best to talk about what he meant to you. He must mean something, right? Why else would you bring him up?" You felt trapped in a corner, and you knew Shidesu meant well with his questions. But the thought of having to tell someone everything made you want to get up and leave.
"Well... what I'm about to say is going to sound crazy, but the reason I brought up Ayato was because I was living with him," you knew it wasn't fully the truth, and there was much more to be said, but you knew that it was a decent jumping off point.
"So, the two of you were roommates?" You could've run with Shidesu's assumption since it would make sense, but deep down, you knew that the marriage point of the relationship was vital. Ayato's obsession that he disguised as love was the reason you were stuck with him for so long.
"Well... I guess it's something more than that," Shidesu didn't know how to respond. His mind ran with thoughts about what you meant. But nothing made sense. Shidesu assumed that if you and Ayato were best friends, then you would say it clearly, you wouldn't be giving him cryptic statements about the two of you being something more than roommates.
"I'm assuming you guys weren't friends," You grew quiet at Shidesu's response because you knew that he meant it in a way that would corner you into saying the truth.
You purse your lips because you know that you had to reveal the truth to him. It had to happen in order for the rest to be said.
"We were married."
"What?!"
A few heads turn towards the direction of your table, but they look away a moment later. You grip the edge of the wooden table and look away from Shidesu. It was your turn to talk, but you didn't feel like continuing. You didn't want to explain something so personal amidst a group of people who were bound to listen in.
Shidesu looks around and lets out a sigh. He gets out of his chair and walks over to your dejected form. He taps your shoulder, "Let's get out of here."
You nod in agreement and get up from the table. You follow Shidesu to the exit and down the path the two of you took. It was darker than before, but more people were present. Luckily, Shidesu's motorcycle was still parked right where he left it, and he hopped on it. You're hesitant at first. Shidesu looks over towards you and pats the seat. You understood him and hopped on it.
Shidesu speeds off, leaving a trail of dust in his awake as passerbyes watch him go. You have no idea where he was taking you, but you could only assume that it was a quieter and more personal place.

You were right about Shidesu taking you somewhere quieter and more personal. He drove all the way to his home. His home being a twelve story apartment building that was on the newer side compared to the other buildings on the street. Just seeing the height of the building made you nervous, and knowing that you were going to see a more personal side of a stranger that you just met made your stomach jump.
You weren't sure how much more you could take tonight.
Shidesu drove into the parking garage, and you could feel your head spinning from the amount of turns he was taking and how everything looked the same with each new floor. Eventually, he reached the top, and it was more empty compared to the other floors. He parked in the corner away from the other cars that were present. The engine of the motorcycle ceased, and Shidesu hopped off the vehicle. You stayed in place and looked over towards him. He was currently in the process of taking out a box of cigarettes from the pocket of his jacket and fishing out a lighter from his pants pocket. He lights his cigarette and flicks the lighter off. He catches your gaze, and fans the smoke away.
"Sorry... I just needed it," he looks away from you and takes another puff from the cigarette. You only nod your head, but you understand him.
You know that Shidesu has some type of understanding of who you are, and that understanding holds no sign of Ayato being married to you. The reveal must have caused his whole presumption of you to be flipped upside down without warning.
"Do I continue?" You had to ask the question because it was clear he wasn't going to ask, not as of right now.
He nods but keeps looking away from you.
You slowly get off the motorcycle and stand in front of Shidesu. He still can't bear to look at you, even though you are so close to him, and he can feel your warmth despite the wind blowing against the two of you.
"I wasn't married to him because I loved him, or because I had a choice. I'm not completely sure what Ayato did to me, but he did something that took a part of me away. A part of me that I have not gained back, and I might never get back," you pause because Shidesu's head snaps to look at you, and his face twists. It once held a level of indifference that you could never have, but it shifted to a face filled with pure hatred– but not directed at you– but at the mention of the deceased.
The cigarette that sat perfectly between his pointer and middle finger is now smashed between the two and its ashes spill on the ground. He tilts his head down and shakes his head slowly. His blond hair slides to cover his face and shakes with every movement.
"That bastard hurt you..." Shidesu draws out. It's clear that his hatred has now turned into disappointment– an emotion targeted solely towards himself, "And I wasn't there to stop him."
The silence eats away at the both of you, and you're ready to continue on, but then a scream rips through the silence.
"I'm going to kill him! I'll kill that bastard for ever hurting you!"
You jump from his declaration, and you're quick to step in front of him before he does anything else.
"Shidesu, that won't be necess–"
"Like, hell, it will! He won't get away from me like he did in high school! It was one thing to lie on my name, but it's an–"
"I killed him!"
Shidesu's voice quiets down, and he looks down at you with wide eyes. You take a look at his golden eyes, which are now a beautiful brown from the darkness. But the dark color of his eyes still clearly shows his soul, one plagued with distress.
"I killed him," you repeat what you said, so Shidesu knows you aren't just saying it to make him quiet down.
"You what?" Shidesu gets close to your face, and you can feel him analyzing every aspect of it. He's trying to find something that is going to give away that you're lying, but you stare at him stone faced.
"I took his life. I did it once I found out what he did to me. I planned it all, and once the day came, I killed him with my own hands," You vaguely recount what happened that night, but it was enough for Shidesu to understand.
"You did kill him..." He goes quiet after his comment. He closes his eyes and lets out a sigh. His eyes open, and they look directly at you, wanting an answer, "Was he the cause for your memory loss?"
You clutch your fists and nod. He lets out another sigh and looks down at the ground. The two of you stand in silence. The wind howls in the distance and sends shivers through your body. Shidesu notices your reaction to the harshness of the cold.
"Let's go inside, yeah?"
You nod and follow him to the elevator.

The two of you were in his apartment, one that was cleaner than you expected. The apartment made you feel comfortable. It was noticeable in your posture with your more relaxed shoulders and lax movements. You stood in the middle of the living room, but Shidesu allowed you to sit down on his black, leather couch.
Seeing the apartment made you miss the house you shared with Ayato. You didn't miss Ayato, but you missed having a constant roof over your head. Now, you're stuck with the aftermath of everything, and that includes living from hotel to hotel, and your money was quickly running out with each night. Eventually, there will be a night when you will wander the streets for warmth.
Shidesu sits on the armchair that is facing diagonally from the couch. He is quiet and looking at you. It's clear to you that he wants to ask more questions, but everything that he learned so far is stopping him. You understood, but you did want to tell him more. His presence is reeling you in, and you can't find it in yourself to let go.
You press yourself against the back of the couch and let out a sigh. He takes in your tired form, and that's when he gets an idea.
"Do you want to stay? It's pretty late," his gruff voice rings in your ears, and you immediately agree to his suggestion.
Another question rolls off of his tongue, "Are you still in the place the two of you shared? Sorry, I'm just wondering."
"No. I packed all my things and left. I actually don't have anywhere to go. Most of my memories have been wiped, and that includes my parent's home. I can't remember my parents either. All I can remember is him."
Your words freeze Shidesu and anything else he was thinking about because it dawns on him the severity of what happened. You really don't remember anything, and that includes everyone who was close to you. His heart aches at the thought that you have been by yourself for who knows how long, looking for anything or anyone who resembles a piece of your shattered past.
"You can live with me," Shidesu doesn't fully register his own words, but he isn't going to take it back. Shidesu would like to live with you and take care of you during this dark part of your life.
"Would it be okay with you?"
"Of course. I was the one who suggested, after all."

Your temporary stay turned into a permanent one after Shidesu decided that he couldn't let you go. The thought of you leaving and living a life filled with uncertainty made him crumble, so he suggested a permanent stay at his apartment.
You accepted his offer and to show your gratitude you helped around the apartment, and started to make income to help out with expenses.
Shidesu didn't want to admit it, but he liked having you around, and it was less about having company and more about what life could've been like with you. The thought that the two of you could've had something like this since the start makes his head hurt from the missed opportunities.
During the first few months of your stay, he blamed himself for what happened. If he put Ayato in his place, then Shidesu could've pulled you to his side and kept you safe. But he didn't, and you're now suffering the consequences of his inaction.
You would never blame Shidesu for what happened. It's clear from his actions in the present that he only wanted the best for you, and you're grateful for having known someone like him in your past.
Shidesu battled with his guilt and his affection. His inner turmoil told him that he's unworthy of your affection because of everything that happened between you and Ayato. Shidesu made sure to keep his distance from you, but over the months, he couldn't help to hover over you. He wanted to stay close to you even though he felt that he didn't deserve to be in your presence.
Eventually, Shidesu was battling on whether or not he should express his feelings for you. Shidesu has loved you for years, even after your disappearance. There wasn't a day when he didn't think of you. His heart would tremble at the thought of you being with another. But during those nights, he would ground himself and remember that he had a chance. And that chance would come one day.
It took two years of your stay for Shidesu to finally understand his feelings and take the chance to show his love to you.
And he did it during a windy night, one akin to the night he found you again.

The room to your bedroom was open, and the breeze from the cold night welcomed itself in with ease. You lean against the window sill with your elbows placed on top of it as your head sticks out of the window. The wind blows through your locks of hair and hits your face with a refreshing breeze. You hum a short melody with your eyes closed.
Shidesu peeks into your room and watches your form from afar. He could feel his stomach twist and his mind stall from the sight of you. He never thought he would see something like it after everything that happened. So, he takes in your presence slowly and thoughtfully.
While looking at you, he starts to think if he should confess his feelings to you. Shidesu has been thinking about it for months now, and it was only a few weeks ago that he decided that he would, but he never decided on a date or time. He kept putting it off, but maybe today would be the day.
Shidesu opens the door to your bedroom, and its hinges squeak from the action. You turn your head over to Shidesu and give him a smile, one that sends his heart skipping.
He stands in the doorway for a few moments, but he starts to walk over to you and settles beside you. You look over towards him and start the conversation, which gets some weight off his shoulders.
"Enjoying the breeze?" You ask as you continue to look out the window. Shidesu only nods and looks at you. He could feel his throat get dry from the thought of spilling his feelings to you because anything could happen.
You could reject him.
But you could also accept.
Shidesu only had two paths, but the possibilities felt limitless when it came to you.
The two of you stand in silence as the nighttime ambiance fills the room.
Shidesu closes his eyes as he lets the breeze blow through his locks of hair and pierce his skin with its coldness.
Shidesu thinks back to the first time he met you.
Shideus didn't think about you much at first. He didn't have praises or disparages towards you. You were just another person in the sea of faces.
Eventually, Shidesu saw you again, and this time, you were in your element. You were interviewing a member of some club for an article, and the sight of you smiling and laughing with them made him feel some way. He didn't know how to describe it, and at first, he thought he was just overthinking what he was feeling.
Shidesu kept seeing you more throughout school, and you were usually interviewing someone. He couldn't help himself and would watch on.
Shidesu couldn't understand why or how you caught his attention, but then he figured it out. You caught his attention because he didn't catch yours.
Shidesu got used to odd stares and assumptions from others, but you didn't do that to him. You would walk past him, and you never acknowledge him. You kept to yourself, and Shidesu liked that. He appreciated one less set of eyes staring him down.
But Shidesu wasn't satisfied. Something within him wanted more. He wanted your attention, but he knew that wouldn't happen.
You were a well-respected member of the school, and he was just seen as someone troubled.
It also didn't help that people he knew wouldn't be too fond of seeing him with a man. The culture of gangs that he lived within valued women. If a man had a dozen women by his side, then he had something worthy within him. The same would never be said about a man whose partner is another man.
So, Shidesu watched from afar. His friend group caught on to his crush from the stares he would give you. At first, they thought that he wanted to fight you. They talked amongst themselves about how you probably owed him money, maybe you disrespected him, or Shidesu just didn't like you.
They brought it up to him, and he immediately stopped them from doing anything to you. Instead, he confessed what he thought about you, and they did tease him for it. But Shidesu was their leader, and they looked up to him greatly, so they didn't harm him and accepted it without much thought.
But deep down, Shidesu didn't feel fully accepted and still yearned for you in private.
Shidesu accepted that his feelings would never be shared with you or anyone else.
But one day did come. The day when you apologized on behalf of one of your nosy reporters for bothering him, and he took the opportunity to get closer to you. Even if you only saw it as a simple friendship, it was still better than him watching you from the shadows.
The memories of your short-lived friendship flashed before his eyes, and he couldn't help himself from saying what he thought about you.
"I love you."
You pulled your head from the window and closed it. The slam of the window hitting the frame made Shidesu open his eyes and look over towards you. His heart twisted at the sound, and he assumed that you were mad at him.
"Why?"
Shidesu almost grew tongue tied, but he was able to get the words out of his mouth, "I've had these feelings since high school, before we even met. Something drew me to you, and those feelings never went away. I'm sorry if it's too much... especially after everything you went through."
Shidesu looks away from the ground and over to you, and he is met with your warm eyes and a bright smile.
"Osoro, I feel the same. I had feelings for a few months now, and it took time for me to accept them because of what I went through, but I'm ready to love again. And I'm eager to do so if you're the one I'm going to love," Shidesu grabs your wrist and pulls you into his strong chest. He doesn't want to rush in and kiss you, but he did want to show you that he loves you in a physical way.
You wrap your arms around him and nuzzle your face into the crook of his neck. The two of you pull away from the hug and look into each other's eyes. The moment felt perfect and everything Shidesu could want. He squeezes your sides, and you let out a laugh from the feeling.
"Trying to see if I'm real?" You tease him as you place your hands on his broad shoulders.

"Wait!"
A voice calls out to you as they firmly grip your shoulder. You could hear an urgency in the man's voice, and his grip was strong as if he was afraid that you would leave forever. You were mainly concerned because the voice sounded so familiar, but you just can't pinpoint it. You quickly turned around as you felt the hand lift off your shoulder, and you looked at the man. He was a little taller than you, with purple hair that's braided, and it looked like he was ready to star in a play with the silk robes and pristine uniform that looked like it came out of a set for a fantasy where kingdoms still thrived.
"It's... you! It's really you!" The man's booming voice made people turn their heads at the two of you, but they walked away. Your shoulders slumped at the sight of people walking away from the two of you. You secretly wanted someone to step in so you could sneak away. You look at the man and respond to his odd comment.
"M-Me?" You stutter out as you point to yourself. Your expression was almost comical with how shocked you looked.
The man's posture deflated a little. It was clear that he expected something more from the interaction. Maybe he expected a dramatic reunion with smiles, hugs, and proclamations of how much you yearned to see him again. Yet, your eyes stayed wide with confusion that couldn't be replicated even by the best actors.
The man looks away from you, a look of embarrassment present on his face. His once confident posture slips away in a matter of seconds due to your response.
The man thought you were faking your confusion so you could avoid him and walk away. The thought stung him, but he noticed a habit that you did when you were confused. You would tilt your head, and you did just that during your response.
Then, the thought that you completely forgot about him pierced his heart. The man thought that he meant something to you, but did you really forget about him after all these years of silence?
"So... you don't remember?" He asks you, and your confused expression turns into one of sadness.
"Sorry! I didn't mean to make it sound like that. I got into an accident, so I don't remember much. I hope you understand," you quickly explained, and the man's heart ached.
He was able to connect the dots and knew that you were suffering with some type of amnesia that impacted your memories. It did make him relieved that you weren't doing it on purpose, but because something took your memories away.
But with that in mind, the man realized that maybe you would not be able to get your memories back at all. All those times the two of you spent together were gone from your perspective. He was just a stranger to you.
But that wasn't the truth. Seeing the man made you remember someone faintly. It was someone with purple hair who had the same hair style. You were sure this man in front of you was that same man that you remember faintly in your mind.
"Only a little. I'm sorry. I wished we could have met under better circumstances," you told the man as you looked at him with sadness. You really did wish that you could remember him, but your mind wasn't letting you.
It seems even with Ayato gone, what he did to you was leaving a lasting impact on you and even on the people you once knew.
The man didn't want you to leave him again. If he wanted you to stay, he needed to act fast. The man thought of a few ideas. He could invite himself over to your place, but maybe you would refuse since you don't fully know him. Maybe he could invite you over to his place, but that wouldn't be the best idea since he lives in Tokyo and you would have to wait. Maybe sitting down at a nearby cafe could work? But he was on the clock right now, and stopping you was already cutting into his rehearsal time.
Then he got the idea to invite you to his performance. In the man' s mind, it was brilliant! You would be able to see his talent again, and maybe it would remind you of the performance you went to, and luckily, that delinquent wouldn't be there with you this time.
Before you could walk away, the man calls out to you, "Wait! How about you come to my show?"
"Show? What type of show?"
"I'm an actor. I have a performance today, and I can invite you! If you don't want to come, I understand, but I would really love it if you could."
The man tried to contain his excitement, but it was difficult to do so. He didn't want to make you uncomfortable, but being this close to you after years of your absence was making his usually composed mind to short circuit.
You thought for a moment, "I'll go if you tell me your name since you already know mine." You proposed the simple trade, and the man quickly told you his name.
"Kizano Sunobu."
Kizano was ecstatic. He didn't believe you would agree with the idea since you didn't fully remember who he was. Kizano wanted to ask you about that and how it came to be. He knew it could be a touchy subject, but he wanted to know because he cared. Even though it's been years, the man couldn't forget about you.
To him, you were the one who got away.
As he walks with you to the show, he can't help being stuck in his thoughts. The memories of being with you and your charming personality. He felt that you understood him like no one else could. He thought that he had a chance, but maybe you were sent to haunt him due to all the hearts he had broken since the start of his career.
The theater that he would be performing at was small, and he was fine with that. He's grown tired of performing with large cowards, so a smaller one was much needed– especially now that he has found you.
Kizano introduced you to the team as his plus one, and they didn't bat an eye. There were people in the show who brought more than one person, so the lead actor inviting one wasn't odd.
Kizano then took you to his dressing room. He was the star after all, so he was given his own room. He quickly went inside so he could start putting on his costume. While you looked around his room.
After Kizano puts on his costume, he approaches you from behind. "I'm sure you've never been taken backstage by the star of the show," he bragged as he watched you read the note on the bouquet that he received from one of his colleagues in Tokyo.
"This really is amazing. I never thought that I would see anything like this," you turn around to look at him. You wanted to be as polite as possible to him. Kizano ended up noticing your politeness, and he couldn't help to find it cute, but also sad. You were treating him like a stranger down to the way you act and talk.
He didn't want to think too much about it since he was going to perform soon, and he didn't want his emotions to stop him from doing his best.
But the thought that you didn't know him at all, and everything has been essentially erased from your mind made him freeze a little. It felt so wrong. Kizano knew in his heart that this wasn't supposed to happen. Kizano was rather dramatic, but deep down, he knew that someone did this on purpose. It wasn't an accident, but someone did hurt you with the intention of taking something away.
Kizano quickly snapped out his thoughts when he heard the door open to his room. Both of you turned your heads to see the makeup artist peeking into the room.
"Are you ready for your makeup, Mr. Sunobu?"
"Oh, yes I am!"

You were currently seated watching Kizano getting his makeup done. You were planning on waiting outside his dressing room, but he sat you down on one of the chairs, handed you a magazine, and told you to stay.
You could only nod as you watched him walk to the makeup chair, as the artist started to take out the different products. Your eyes then wandered towards the magazine that Kizano gave you. Right on the front cover was him.
You held the magazine and looked at the cover intensely. Your head was starting to hurt from your strong focus on the image. You were trying to remember him, but nothing came up. You felt so dejected from your failure to remember who he was. He looks so recognizable, yet you can't remember him.
You let out a soft sigh and opened the magazine to see what was inside. As you skimmed through the pages, you took notice that it was a magazine for anything theater related. Some of the content of the pages were dedicated to Kizano and his career as an actor.
There was a short biography of Kizano. It talked about how he got his start as an actor at a young age. He eventually received more notoriety once he became a teenager. He was an alumni at Akademi High, a prestigious school that was founded and funded by Saikou Corporation, and an alumni at a famous college in Tokyo that is dedicated to theater. The article then mentioned some of his most famous roles and his next performance.
Your mind started to wonder at the mention of the school. Did you go to Akademi High? It would make sense, but you could've also met him elsewhere.
Eventually, Kizano was done with his makeup. Once the makeup artist left, Kizano got out of the chair, he turned around, and noticed how engrossed you were with the magazine. He didn't expect you to be reading it. He started to wonder if the images of him in the magazine were bringing back memories or if you were still clueless about everything.
Kizano decided it was time to walk up to you, so he placed one of his hands on your shoulder, which made you jump. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. You looked so interested in the magazine. I thought my beautiful voice wouldn't reach you," Kizano told you with his usual dramatic flair. Which made you wonder if he was always like this.
"It's okay. You're right. I was a little too into it," You chuckle as you close the magazine and place it back on the table where it once was.
"Did you appreciate my pictures?" Kizano asks the question in the hope that he will hear a compliment from you. It was selfish of him, but it's been years since he heard anything from you, and he would at least like you to praise him.
"Yes! They were wonderful. You're very photogenic, but I suppose that makes sense. You are an actor after all," You compliment him without missing a beat, and Kizano can feel himself getting flustered at the praise.
Just as Kizano was about to answer, a knock was heard from outside, and it was the stage manager, "We're about to start, so it's best to come out now." Footsteps can then be heard leaving the area. You look over to Kizano, "Where do I go now?"
"Well, since you are my guest, you will be placed in the front row with the rest of the plus ones. I'm sure the rest of them are being seated. Let's not waste any more time, and start heading over to the stage," Kizano explains to you as he starts heading over to the door, and you quickly follow behind him.
As the two of you walked through the hallway to make it to the main stage, Kizano kept wondering about what had happened. He knows he shouldn't be worrying, not right now, that is. He has a show to put on, but when he looks over to you, he can't help but think what caused you to act differently. You were still kind, but your absent memories were the thing that worried him the most. How long have you been like this? Is there any way you can remember him?
Kizano's feelings were still strong even after years of being apart from you, but he started to think of the morality of confessing to you– if the opportunity were ever to open up to him. Would it be wrong to confess to you? The last conversation the two of you had was about these feelings, but you didn't accept his feelings. Kizano wondered before and now if you didn't want to accept his feelings because of Megamo or Osoro. You were helping out Megamo, so maybe you thought Kizano would get in the way. Or maybe Osoro threatened you to stay away from Kizano. Kizano doesn't know which theory is more plausible, but it would be better than you letting go of him due to not liking him at all.
Either way, Kizano had to think of the show first, and maybe after this, he could talk to you more about what happened.
The two of you eventually had to go your different ways. Kizano watches as you walk down the steps towards the audience seats, and he can't help but smile.

The performance took place within three hours, and within those three hours, it felt like you had finally found a silver lining.
Kizano and the rest of the actors took their final bow before they left the stage, and even after they left, the audience kept clapping louder, you included. You started to wonder if you ever saw one of Kizano's performances. It made you want to remember what it was like seeing him for the very first time.
The audience eventually started to make their way out of the theater, but you entered the backstage, along with some of the other plus ones. You did your best to follow the route that would take you to Kizano's dressing room.
You eventually made it without much confusion, so you knock on the maroon door and wait for him to open up. You could hear a pair of footsteps and things being moved around, but the door opens up to reveal Kizano. His makeup was wiped away, he was in more casual clothing, and his hair was no longer in a braid.
"I knew you would come and find me," Kizano exclaims, "I was going to go find you if you didn't show." He stepped aside so you could walk in. You gave him a smile before walking into the dressing room again. He closes the door behind you.
The room looked a little messier than before, but you chalked it up to Kizano wanting to get out of his costume as fast as possible. You would be right with that statement, but Kizano wanted to talk to you, and he didn't want to sit down and talk to you while he was still in his costume.
Kizano wanted to ask you a few questions, and he was going to do it within his dressing room. Nobody would enter since they are all doing their own things, so this would be the best time to ask you what was on his mind.
Kizano took a deep breath and asked the first question that would lead to many more, "Can I ask you a few questions, (Y/N)?"
"Sure, I don't mind."
Kizano felt like backtracking immediately; he wasn't expecting you to be so open, but maybe you thought that it would be a question about the show and not about the past.
"Do you really not remember anything?"
Your smile drops, and a deep frown takes its place, "I really don't remember anything. I faintly remember you, if that makes you feel better, but I can't remember anything specific. I'm so sorry."
"Please don't apologize! It's not your fault, it was just sudden. I was just wondering what the accident could be?"
You look away from him, and he knew that this accident still had an impact on you. He didn't want to keep prying away at something that would make you feel uncomfortable.
"It's okay! You don't need to tell me. How about I tell you about our friendship?"
"I would really like that."
Kizano started to tell you about your friendship during your days at Akademi High, but he made a note to omit anything that would hint at him having feelings for you. He didn't want to make anything awkward.
Out of all the things he talked about, one thing did seem to catch your interest the most, and that was the fact that you saw one of his plays.
"I'm glad that I saw you perform when we were younger."
"I was happy too. I got so happy when I saw you watching me. It meant a lot to me."
A knock then came outside, "Hey, Sunobu, the theater is about to close. I'm just letting you know."
"It seems like our conversation is cut a little short, but that's okay. How about we call each other?"
"Oh, I don't have a cell phone. Sorry."
"You don't have one?"
"I know it sounds odd, but I haven't had one in a few years.
"Well, how about you give me your address and I could visit you when I have the time?"
"I don't really have a permanent place to stay at."
Kizano couldn't believe that he heard you right. Were you homeless? Did losing your memories cause you to lose your job and then your home?
Kizano knew that he couldn't let you walk away, knowing that you had nowhere to go.
Then, one of the ideas that Kizano had earlier popped into his mind. He was going to go back to Tokyo after this, so maybe he could take you with him?
"(Y/N), would you like to come with me to Tokyo?" Once the words left Kizano's mouth, he realized how serious it sounded. He was proposing the idea of making you move to a completely different city, and to you, he was a stranger. Would you even accept this invitation?
"Yes!"
Kizano was surprised by your ecstatic answer, but you were more than willing to leave and go with him. Sure, you might not know everything about him, but in your heart, you knew that he was someone who wanted the best for you.
With that quick answer, a new path was laid out for the two of you.

It's been two years since you moved to Tokyo with Kizano, and it was the best decision that the two of you made. Kizano was able to build up the relationship the two of you once had, and you were able to live a good life after years of being locked away. Kizano made you experience the best performances, parties, and events that his job offered him. There was never a dull moment with the rising star.
During this time, Kizano started to think about his feelings for you. His feelings never did go away, and it was as clear as ever to him. His heart would pump faster when you sat next to him on the couch, his eyes always tried to find you within a coward, and he would blush at any praises you gave to him. Kizano was in a war with himself because on the one hand he wanted to confess and he felt it was the perfect time to do so, but on the other hand he felt that it was wrong. He thought about it before and how you didn't accept his love before, and he didn't want to put you into a relationship that you never wanted.
But Kizano started to think about it more. He wasn't forcing you, and he would confess to you in a gentle manner, he planned to reassure you that nothing would change between the two of you if you didn't want to get into a relationship with him.
Kizano just needed to find a good time.
It took Kizano a few days to fully decide on a day, but he decided he wanted to do it on a quiet day where the two of you only had each other's company.

After two months of thinking about the idea of confessing to you, and deciding that it would be something that he did want to do. He decided to take action today. He made sure that he was free and that you were free too.
Kizano had it all planned out. He was going to cook a romantic dinner, set up candles and rose petals, pour expensive champagne in fancy glasses, and he would take you out to the balcony and give you a kiss that would make you stay with him forever.
But Kizano, being the idealistic type, didn't take into consideration all the work he would need to do. First, Kizano couldn't decide on a meal, and the ones he did want to do needed him to have more experience in the kitchen than what he had. He decided against the candles and petals since it would be too on the nose. You weren't much of a drinker, so he decided to opt out on the champagne.
Everything that Kizano imagined was falling apart, so he decided that he would do it on another day. Even though he would much rather hold you starting tonight rather than tomorrow.
As Kizano was walking to his room for the night, after cleaning up the kitchen where the two of you had a normal dinner like all the other days, he noticed that you were on the balcony. You would usually stand there and look outside. It didn't matter if it was nighttime or day time, he would always catch you leaning on the railing.
Tonight was no different, so Kizano decided to join you. He slipped through the small opening that you left so you could enter back inside, but even with his quiet entrance, you still heard him, and you turned to look at him.
"Kizano? Aren't you going to bed?" You ask as you watch him approach you and take his place next to you.
"I was, but something was on my mind..." For a moment, you thought that Kizano was being dramatic again, but you did wonder what he was talking about. Was it more than what it seemed?
"What could that be?"
"I planned something special, but it didn't really turn out how I wanted it to."
"Really? I thought today was your day off. What happened?"
"I'm not sure if I can say it," Kizano crossed his arms over each other and looked away from you. He looked embarrassed, but he also held a look of sadness.
You move closer to him and look at him, "Kizano, please tell me. We're friends, and I'm here for you."
Kizano's heart skipped a beat at your reassurance, but his confession could change everything and in a bad way. All the negative outcomes started to pop into his head, but then he started to think about what would happen if he didn't tell you. He needed to tell you what he felt because it was something he couldn't keep hidden away or let go.
"(Y/N)... I planned something for us. I wanted to make you a nice dinner and drink some champagne with you."
"That sounds great, Kizano, but why? Is there a reason for this?"
Kizano lets out a sigh, and closes the small space between the two of you, and looks into your eyes. "I kept going back and forth with myself about what I should do. I felt what I was feeling was wrong because you turned me away years ago, and I didn't want it to seem like I was taking advantage of your current state..."
"Turned you away? What happened? I thought you told me everything before."
"Some of it, but I left some other things out."
"And what was that?"
"(Y/N), when we were in high school... I had feelings for you," Kizano took a deep breath before he kept going, but what surprised him was that you didn't ask any questions. You instead looked at him with interest. "I admitted my feelings for you, but you didn't like me back. But that's the reason why I feel so conflicted. You rejected me, but you don't remember, so I don't want to confess my feelings knowing that you don't feel the same way."
"Kizano, you should've told me sooner. It would've made me understand things be er, and how our relationship used to look like. But, I'm happy you told me now." The two of you ended up standing together in silence. Kizano knew that right now would be the best time, but he still felt scared to say anything, even if you do understand where he is coming from with his feelings.
"So, do you still like me?" you ask, hoping that it would get a clear answer from him.
"Yes, I wanted to confess to you today, but things didn't turn out how I planned them to be."
You laughed.
Kizano could feel himself burn up. Was he being too straightforward? Did you find his feelings to be stupid? Why were you laughing?
"I'm so sorry. It's just ironic that the most perfect person that I know messed up on something that he was planning night and day for. But... I guess it still worked out in the end."
"Do you mean that...?"
"Kizano, I do have feelings for you, and I want to try things, but slowly. I haven't been in a relationship before," You meant what you said since you didn't consider Ayato to be a proper romantic relationship in the slightest.
Kizano quickly cupped your hands into his, which caused you to break away from the railing and look at him. "I'll be the best partner to you, (Y/N)! I promise!"
You smiled at him and nodded, "I know you will be, Kizano."
Will there be an ending for osoro? Hes my fav and im just tryna cope with the actual ending lol
Yess!! (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶) .ᐟ.ᐟ There will be an ending for Osoro, as well for Kizano, Megumo and a bonus ending for Ayato. In my next update, the endings for Kizano and Osoro will be released together. I hope you and the other Osoro fans (there are so many of you! But that’s understandable, he’s also one of my favorites too (,,> ᴗ <,,)), enjoy the ending! I have a vague idea of what will happen. I sadly haven’t been able to develop ideas for the last four chapters since my mind has been thinking of other things. Hopefully, in the coming weeks I’ll have a better idea of what I want to write, and give you guys a great piece of writing after months of absence.
Sorry, if my hiatus made it seem like I was done, but I’m not done yet! I’ll come back in mid to late December after my classes are over, and after that Lock will be done!! That’s very exciting since I’ve been working on it for two years, and December will be its two year anniversary!! ₍₍⚞(˶˃ ꒳ ˂˶)⚟⁾⁾
I’ve been deciding on what I want to work on next since I have a few ideas that I really like, but I’ll share those ideas once Lock is done. I’ve also been currently working on an Oc x reader story that I’m going to post on my second account at the start of next year.
Even though I might not be posting, I'm still very much active. I come on here daily to scroll ꉂꉂ(ᵔᗜᵔ*), so don’t feel shy about dropping something in my inbox. I’ll be happy to answer any questions about Lock, or anything in general!

Lwk what if y/n just decided to bolt lol. Like what’s stopping him? Honestly it’d be impressive if ayato could track him down like that. I think it’d be funny if he just ran for it in front of him
Lol it would be funny if Y/N just decided to run away right in front of him, and Ayato is standing there like (˚0˚)!!
But to answer the question as to why Y/N just doesn’t run away it can be for a lot of reasons.
If this is Y/N from the Stuck Forever With You ending, then it’s because he's been suffering with his broken mind since Ayato abused him in order to put him in that state, and to an extent I would say he has Stockholm Syndrome/it’s starting to develop. Plus, since he lost most of his memories due to the abuse he just believes basically everything Ayato tells him.
I wrote this Y/N with the intention of him being a lot more docile and just accepting a lot of things at face value since Ayato hammered into his mind that he cannot be independent due to his illness. Plus, he does accept Ayato being his husband (even if he feels that accepting Ayato’s advances is wrong, but to an extent he believes it’s due to his lost memories making him feel that way) so he wouldn’t run out the door since it wouldn’t make sense.
Now, Y/N from the We’ve Gained Our Wings Tonight ending. This version is also mind-broken, but it’s clear that Ayato didn’t do enough to make him docile. He knows Ayato is being suspicious, this is why he is looking for answers. But he chooses not to run away at first (before he found out that Ayato kidnapped him) because he didn’t have a solid reason. Sure, he’s suspicious of Ayato, but it’s not enough to warrant him running away.
Once he finds out that he is being abused, he doesn’t pack up and run away since he knows he really doesn’t have anywhere to go. He could try to find his parents and tell them what happened (ngl I completely forgot about Y/N’s parents) but given his memory loss, he wouldn’t be able to remember where they live. He could also go to the police station, but given that Ayato kidnaped him and was able to stop anyone from looking for him, he has his doubts that the police would help. And now that he knows Ayato kidnapped him, he starts to consider the fact that maybe he can do it again, and he isn't fully safe even if he does run away.
And not to mention the fact that Ayato sheltered him for a few years, so he is rather clueless about a lot of things, especially the things that could make him independent. So, I feel that it would be easier for Ayato to find him, given his vulnerable state of mind.
