I'm NotSticks or you can call me Orion, any pronouns! I am a writer by trade and recently I have been coping with the fact that I have to write for other people who have bad ideas, with some self indulgent fanfic!

today someone did a racism towards me

that in on itself is weird enough as i am white passing and unless you spoke to me directly and i decide you can hear my accent you wouldn’t guess.

but it was my aunt.

she did this in front of my cousin.

thinking about my old dnd character whom i loved very much that in every tavern asked for a piña colada, and every time the DM said that they didnt have it/didnt know what it was.

eventually we end up in like the fae realm or some shit and DM has prepped a tavern with straight on the menu a piña colada just for me. DM had a prop of the menu and everything.

except the bartender was some sort of fire elemental fire person.

my PC. my sweet dear bardlock. She was deathly afraid of fire.

she spent the whole time her party drank having a panic attack…

HaDM ‘26 | Cleo [Art for: I Promised to Protect You]

Damn, another may is over just like that… or is it? I may have a lil sum sum for tomorrow but i would consider this the last piece for this year, honestly it’s been incredible and i am so proud of myself for exploring a new skill and so many different styles, I hope you guys got to see the clear improvement as much as I did :) also yes i did the green version for shits and giggles cos like cleo can’t be human yk but obv tlg!cleo is well human :)

ok genuinely, I am so proud of this piece, especially if you look back at the first piece i drew for the event (which was day 4), even with all the issues i had this month being a human i completed everyday and i am so happy for it! and this specific style is something i have been trying to achieve all through the month and i am so happy i finally managed…

i used a screenshot from the actual hunger games movie as a reference and like look at that rahhhhh.I am so happy to have started learning a new skill…

now the question is what to do next may, cos last year i used to learn to write, this year to draw… what’s next? animation? two pieces everyday? uhhh we’ll see :)

i am really proud of the shape and the clarity in this one, also i almost couldnt upload cos ive been busy, which would have been a shame considering i actually had it ready before Gem day started :) more yaps and timelaps below the cut

ok so i worked with a reference and honestly, its not my style cos its very much an illustration more than a drawing (idk if it makes sense but like its very much factual and accurate and not at all cartoonish) but it means i can do this, and from now on the possibilities are endless.

also i need to work on my shading cos im not sure i like this blurry whatever this is but i havent managed to master procreate enough to actually get it to do what i want from it. yet.

I just saw an anon come into a gif-maker’s ask box and start with the phrase: “I’m trying not to spam your inbox with reblogs, but” and then go on to say how much they love the gifs.

But I’m still stuck on that opening phrase because…what? I am so confused by how people view interactions on tumblr & AO3 these days. Let me make it very clear for anyone who is unsure:

CREATORS WANT YOU TO INTERACT WITH THEIR WORK.

The limit does not exist on how many of their works you can interact with in a certain period.

If you like every fic they’ve ever written? Then feel free to give them all kudos and even leave a comment on every single one if you feel inclined! If you’re going through someone’s blog and you vibe with every post, like/reblog to your heart’s content!

As long as you’re not expecting something back from them or adding a ton of irrelevant comments, it’s not spam! It’s what this is all about!! I’m not even much of a creator and I still feel a huge sense of pride when I see a ton of notifications in a row from a person, as it clearly shows they thought my blog was worth spending time on.

And if for some reason a creator is annoyed by this (unlikely), they can manage their own experience (turn off notifs, not look at their notes, delete the fic, etc) -- so don’t deprive the majority of creators because of some imagined annoyed person. Fandom is a collaborative effort and we all must participate!
