OK SO... i wanted to try something bigger and i fucking loved hermit master so i was like why not. also why not try tracing from a picture i hear that its a good way to learn.
it wasnt.. for me... idk why the all look like they dont have a soul i need to rework my process or smt cos wth... but at least i learned something... like how to make background swirls and that maybe tracing isnt a tecnique for me...

i drew this befor going insane and i think you can tell. I really wanted to go for that drawing feel. Like the kind of style you'd find in a childrens book.
also poppies. symbol for revolution at least in italy :) and eagle. i did not look up what eagles look like. i just vibed it... as i said one year ago in the description of the fic: "I know nothing of cattle, or the desert, or birds..." yep... anyways...

So, i dont think the universe wanted me to finish this. Ipad died... scorpions just everywhere (I AM IN CENTRAL EUROPE THEY ARE SO NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE) its 3 am i want to pass but its okay cos i have bearded babydubs and this time my tracing did not produce somethign scary. not fantastic but they have souls..

nothing much to say except that this confirms that tracing doesnt really do it for me... but hey it looks better than the other family pic drawing i did... mostly.
i did not mean to make grian into evil spongebob and idk why martyn is the only one that dont look like himself... but its fine it looks cool and once i have slept i will make babydubs into a sticker cos yes.
that actually might be hadm tomorrow. we'll see if i have to actually do my job.
also it took me like 45 minutes to figure out who everyone was because i have the stupid. i eventually just rewatched the hermitmaster video

Ok so yapping bc im so excited that I ame learning to draw digitally finally (on that note all constructive criticism very welcome pls i need help) but i really had fun with this one, I loved breakfast when I wrote it, I loved writing wels and the dynamics, so this was great to do!
I am not completely satisfied with it but the point for me of drawing them instead of writing is to emprove so at some point i gotta call it completed (this took me 1:20 mins circa which is still less than my first ever piece with human figures which yall get to see on day 4)
but yeah im having tons of fun and I am already seeing emprovements (finishing up day 7 as i type this) so its been great, here have a timelapse so you get to see me go insane live:

This was the first time i ever drew human figures digitally, i was really trying to figure out how to work Procreate and youll see that in the timelapse...

i had planned a much more complex pose before realising that i would not have been able to put my idea on the paper cos my hands litterally didnt know what to do. anyways i am really happy with it even tho i wanted to show off more Capitol styles but then the idea of drawing more fabric aborrehd me so porpol it is yk... you can see the royal symbolism if you'd like.
you may notice i figured out how to not make them look asian only halfway through and never went back to fix it but honestly it needed to be finished, also those fucking hands oh my gods i hated hands, and youll see how much i hated them on Keralis day lol.
as usual concrit welcome but also the next few drawing are already drawn soo yk ill implement when i can...

also context from the fic is that grian is wearing pearls red cape (duh) and pearl is wearing one of his tees, my executive decision as i made this was that its gonna be green as a nod to the Link cosplay skin...

I LOVED MAKING THIS I LOVE HOW IT CAME OUT I JUST RAHHHH i feel like you can see such clear progress from the start of the month and it's just fucking insane yk... it has no right to be this quick to learn something... like i know i still have a fuck ton to learn but i already dont feel like a beginner which is just nuts. the most insane part is that i already dont like it compared to the things i have ready for the next few days. Like what?
Also stroke of genius is pearl is going gray (at 18 in the fic) because of her trauma and i just love that

Ok so allow me to break down the symbolism in the outfit from a in AU point of view:
Dark red shirt cos those are the colours Pearl wore during her games.
the corset spikes are shaped like a hogs teeth like Grians necklace
The upside down heart is actually the top of a hog’s nose
the skirt is more of a representation of D12, the fire and the explosion in the mines and shit… Idk how much the shitty animation shows but its supposed to glow and slightly shift colors.
also the wings represent the forests of D12 and how the twins loved climbing and be birds
as to why they are parrot wings… it was the stylists favourite bird in.. but non in canon it gives me life amp colors yk
anyways i went insane doing this so you better fucking love it cos i do and i have the only correct opinion /j
