Random fact that id like to share

These lil dudes have recently just become a possible vaccine to all kinds of cancer

The research as far as I’m aware is very limited and has only been conducted on mice, but a bacteria found in their gut has been found to multiply inside of cancer cells due to the low oxygen levels inside of them and then attract the bodies immune system to kill the cancer trying to get to this bacteria

Upon being reintroduced to the mice their immune systems recognised the cancer and eradicated it

Im not a doctor so please don’t take my word as fact but if you find this interesting i encourage you to research it a little

How did you decide on Fern as your name? (if it't not too personal)

Well, my deadname meant fire in a different language, and since my last name means forest, it was kinda a fitting metaphor before pre-transition life. It was a forest fire, and nothing felt alive. However, forest fires give birth to new life, and after a volcanic eruption ravages an area, the first plants to come back, to make things more habitable, are ferns. I liked the idea of being a Fern, growing after a forest fire destroyed so much. I liked the idea of making things more suited for others to live too, working to make a habitable and supportive environment. Fern felt... right to me.
