Send me ‘come back to bed’ for my character’s reaction to being caught sneaking out the morning after.
Molly turned to look at Greg, having not expected him to wake. “Didn’t know if you had work today or not— didn’t want to be in your way,” she said by way of explanation.
Greg shifted in order to get a better look at Molly and rubbed his tired eyes. “I do, but I’m workin’ the late shift tonight. And you’re never in the way, Molls. Don’t think you could be if you tried.” He told her with a tired smile and then patted the bed beside him. “Just for a little while. I don’t have to be up at some ungodly hour for once. Come enjoy it with me.”
Molly nodded, wishing her shyness hadn’t returned so quickly upon awaking. She’d been so confident the night before, in his arms. Yet here she was now, afraid that the butterflies in her stomach might prevent her from returning to the spot she’d previously found herself to be so comfortable in. “Oh— okay—” she agreed, moving back to her spot. “I’ll— you know, stay as long as you’d like…” she murmured, sliding back into her spot. One night stands weren’t supposed to combine with actual romantic feelings, were they? Molly didn’t know. She reached out to set her hand on Greg’s arm, wondering what he thought of it all but too afraid to ask and put herself out there on the chopping block. Maybe he didn’t have feelings for her. Surely it was selfish of her to hope he did.
Had he not been half asleep, Greg probably would have been a lot more awkward about this whole thing. He'd been trying to ignore the way he felt about Molly for a while now and all of those pent up feelings were showing through now that he wasn't coherent enough to properly put up that wall. "Sounds good to me," he said as she came back towards the bed. Without a thought he wrapped his arm around her but didn't pull her closer or anything like that. Greg may have been tired but he wasn't gone enough to go that far in case she didn't want to. He'd already gotten her to come back to bed and while it would have been nice to take more, he didn't want to push her further than she was comfortable. "I work at five, so you're fine until then. Not that you have to stay until then or anything."
"Not this time" Fire could be a ridiculously effective method in some cases. However this time it had been improvising, some might even call it an accident but to her that just sounded ridiculous. "You know what the rest of it is those files would just have helped to prove it and that’s a detail" she spoke. It was a detail to her, most of the things she saw and noticed weren’t exactly easy to pin down in evidence but she was usually right about the things she deduced. To her evidence and proving things often were the details that she did not bother with.
"Sherlock, you can't- we can't..." Greg groaned loudly in frustration and brought his hands to his face while he took a deep breath, trying to get his thoughts together enough to form words that were more than him expelling his irritation.
"Whether you're right or not doesn't make any difference if we don't have the evidence to prove it." Greg spoke slowly, trying not to lose his cool. He knew that Sherlock worked differently than everyone else, and that was why he consulted her, but her methods had a way of making things hard for him, even if they did get things done. "They're not gonna put a man behind bars just because you said so. You may not understand this, but your word isn't actually law."

It’s not violent. It’s more like… taking precaution by issuing threats. S’not violent unless someone actually pinches me. And then they started it.
Too bad. Some parts of you look quite pinchable. [casual grin]
[He smirks] I can't tell if you're being forward or are just encouraging people to go ahead and do it because you want to see some bloke walkin' around with broken fingers.
---- Tired and sick, but I can't sleep. I'm going to try and keep writing but I can't promise it'll be much good. Is there anyone on now that I owe?
