Ok, Iām working on a completely different project at the moment and I want someone to draw my characters for meā¦ but Iām too broke to commission art so this is an option call for a fun little art game.
In the forgotten realms lore that my husband and I built, Jarlaxle has a son named Gaius (named by his mother) whose life he is surprisingly involved in. Gaiusā mother is Korina (Tiefling OC) and he spends his time going between Bregan Dāaerthe and a tribe of Vistani monster hunters.
Hereās the challenge: What does he look like? I know but I wanna see what other people think based purely on the information provided. Iām also curious to see what class(es) you think he is.

Good god, okā¦ I started getting tired around year 10 and I just finished this a few minutes ago (itās past 3 am). There are a lot of plots at the beginning that donāt differentiate between meta lore and plots and world lore plots but they become distinctly separate at year 6. The crossed out dates are because Iād like to come up with month names that donāt sound as infantile as the canonical ones.

Detective Alanik Ray; I don't think I've asked about this guy. What can you tell me about him?
You asked about Arthur Sedgwick but not Alanik, no.
Alanik is a young elven detective (so, about a century old, young for an elf) who, ironically, came from a sort of criminal background. He brought down his fatherās crime ring and itās likely that bit of history that, at least in part, makes him so good at his job. After some time he met Dr. Arthur Sedgwick and the two became close partners with Dr. Sedgwick chronicling Rayās many cases. At some point, one of Alanikās cases resulted in a fall that left him paralyzed. Struck with the stark reminder that he wasnāt invincible, he and Arthur were wed soon after the event and Alanik has become much more cautious.
Into the headcanons because he lives rent free in my head:
Close friends (but especially Arthur) tend to call him āNik.ā
He likes to pace when heās thinking. Not just about a case but about anything in general. Arthur used to know the exact number of steps he would take before heād stop to clear his head. Now that heās paralyzed, he hasnāt stopped doing it. Arthur only manages to keep him from completely destroying the floor by supplementing some of his pacing with PT.
Arthur proposed to him with a puzzle box that he solved while Arthur was rambling about it.
He LOVES when people try to kill him. He takes it as a sign that heās close to solving a case and the adrenaline rush leaves him particularly animated. Heās usually very calm and measured in demeanor so this shift tends to be very jarring for those whoāve never witnessed it.
Divine has a long-lost son, whom she gave up to strangers when he was just a baby.
