*at the end of a rather pleasant phone call with the bride whose wedding I'm DJing this weekend*
"Okay, so that all sounds good! Is there anything else you want to talk about before we go?"
"Nope, I think you've got it covered! Oh, but one more thing."
"Yeah?"
"It's going to be a dry wedding. No alcohol."
"Ah! Ahaha ... thanks ... that - that's good to know ..."
*hangs up*

No one noticed.
Problem: oh no, I forgot the pre-ceremony seating music - it was supposed to be romantic piano ... Solution: well I do have an entire album of piano covers of anime and video game music by Piano Squall ... plus that one piano version of the song from the Metal Gear Solid 3 soundtrack ...
I slip this into my dinner music whenever I can. (Sadly, I've yet to have anyone call me out on it. *sigh*)

I once ran out to my car to grab my personal CD collection in the middle of a reception because the maid of honor casually mentioned marathoning Lords of the Rings with the bride during her toast and there was just no way I was letting that opportunity slip by.

Got to chat and bond with the bride over her HP obsession. - flower bouquets were paper blooms made of old HP books - butterbeer cupcakes - bride's bouquet stem was a wand (sadly, she did not know the core when I asked)

Congratulations! You are a stick-in-the-mud who doesn’t care about his/her guests actually having any fun. Good job.
This was requested last weekend. The entire group swarmed the dance floor and practically ate each other out of sheer excitement.
Notable things that happened at the wedding I DJed a few weekends ago:
-Prime rib steak for the DJ, awww yeah~~ -Over an hour's worth of speeches throughout the night, half of which were the fault of the groom's mother, who clearly thought the evening was all about her. -"Let It Go" singalong on the packed dance floor. -Bride exited the party quite early after taking several shots and subsequently needing to be escorted to her hotel room and poured into bed. -Guest brought a beer bottle onto the dance floor and dropped it, forcing me to stop the dance and clear the floor because there were glass shards everywhere and several female guests in bare or stocking feet. -Drunk bridesmaid ran out and slipped and fell on her butt literally two seconds after I warned everyone to be careful because the floor was still wet. -Hotel concierge flirted with me when I went to get my parking validated.
