Raven smiled as her fingers laced together with Luna’s fingers. Something about her was so calm and Raven felt as if she could finally relax. Right now someone else could run the systems on ship. This Raven able to lay there and just melt into the floukru girl. Luna had been her calm when they were on Earth which was a job she had carried over onto the go sci ring.

“Yeah I never would have guessed even half the stuff that was going to happen when I landed on Earth.” She had gone down for Finn but here she was holding hands with a grounder girl looking out at the stars. “Fate works in mysterious ways.”

“It’s no big deal really I mean it was this or die so I was just doing what was best.” Raven told her with a shrug, looking form the window to Luna.

Luna sighed feeling the comfort of Raven beside her. There were many times on the Rig where it felt like she was floating, but now that it was actually happening the thought of it rattled her. It wasn’t something she’d ever admit, the inner peace managed to keep her demons at bay with just simple glances into reality. Luckily, she had a beautiful brunette to look to for just that. 

Though, she nodded. “ We are alive because of you, “ she said again, smiling. Slowly she moved so she could sit with the brunette. One leg was on either side of the small frame, Luna’s arms slunk around her waist, her chin rested on her shoulder after placing a kiss on it. 

“Space is beautiful, “ she added, “ it looks much different up here.. did earth look like you thought it was going to?”

They’d arrived the night before under the secrecy of the moonlight. She’d held Raven’s head in her lap for the entirety of the ride between the mainland and home. That was then, and now the sun rose and filtered in through the windows of her quarters. It was a new day, it was a new start for the human race on the rig -- at this point, Luna just hoped that everything she worked for wasn’t going to fall to pieces in six years. Skaikru didn’t have the best reputation for peace and harmony like she tried so desperately to escape. 

It all faded though to wake up beside the dark haired girl who’d stayed by her side through her darkest days. Soft fingers ran through the smooth, thick locks. Now would be the time for her to find the sanctuary that Luna knew was so desperately needed after hearing stories of what the chip had done to her. 

“ Os monin, Meizen, “ Luna hummed, greeting the girl with warm lips on her forehead, “ I have got something to show you. “ She smiled, her eyes lighting up at the thought of letting Raven explore, watching her eyes light up as she takes in the sight of the endless horizon for the first time. It was special the first time anyone saw it, but this time would forever hold a special place in her heart. “ we can lay here a few more minutes. You awoke sooner than I thought.”

Raven moved into the bed and looked out at the moon. She thought of her space walks and how eagerly she had wanted to be out there floating to see the moon. She heard Luna though and her attention was moved to the woman instead. She moved closer on the bed and took Luna’s hand in her own.

“I am sorry- you deserve love and happiness just like the rest of us. The color of your blood should not have meant you were not allowed that. I am happy you found it though.” She told her. “I know what it’s like to lose that too. I watched Finn die and it was one of the hardest things I had to do.”

She gave Luna’s hand a squeeze before looking back to the window. “We have to- it’s not like we have any other choice.”

Luna’s face turned to the other and she offered her a small, warm smile. The warm hand seemed to fit so well in hers and their fingers laced so effortlessly together it almost felt too right. If it wasn’t for Raven they’d all be burnt in the fire that raged over earth, even on the rig. She was the last of Floukru, though, there were none for her to lose sleep over any longer -- long before the fire.

“ sometimes fate has a funny way of doing things, “ she said, giving a small nod. Her eyes lifted to the window only to be greeted with infinite blackness swirled with various gasses and colours in the distance. It was captivating, there was so much to see and so much she didn’t understand. Though the vastness reminded her of her rig it was still very different. 

“ If you think we will survive we will. We would not have gotten here without you, Raven.” She said pulling her eyes away from the window to rest upon her.
