Pinecone Treehouse O2 Treehouse with Sheet Metal Alchemist

An activation for Glade, the O2 Treehouse “Pinecone” is a fully permitted, Redwood tree hanging dwelling located in the Santa Cruz forest. Sheet Metal Alchemist Events was responsible for turning O2 Treehouse’s artistic vision to reality by providing the modeling, fabrication, and structural engineering required to complete the fabrication and installation of this project in 5 weeks.

Hope It Doesn’t Rain Tonight!

The concept « Null Stern – the only star is you », already made global headlines between 2008 and 2010 and is now reborn in Safiental, Grisons (Switzerland). From a nuclear bunker to the Swiss countryside: no real estate, no walls and no roof. 

On July 2 2016, the conceptual artists, Frank and Patrik Riklin, Atelier für Sonderaufgaben and hospitality professional Daniel Charbonnier, Minds in Motion SA, re-opened “Null Stern – the only star is you” in the form of an open air double bed. With support from the Art Safiental and Safiental Tourism, the double bed is available for reservations. The vision for the 3 partners is to install similar beds throughout the Swiss countryside in collaboration with regional tourism organizations.
