“mlm/wlw solidarity?” no, mlm/wlw wretched hatred with some moments of solidarity
i saw this tweet and maybe its the autism (definitely) but i always found this so curious.
I remember someone on twt once saying “it wasnt too deep” when i was talking about ross and rachel’s relationship issues because, and i quote, “its just a sitcom” or someone talking about media like it’s always sunny or succession not being worth a critical conversation. i don’t wanna act like sitcoms always uphold some sort of moral standard and actively engage in ethical discussions because sometimes some episodes can be boiled down to idiotic cocomelon-ic fun but idk!
perceiving sitcoms as a lesser medium than “cinema or high budget tv” is so interesting to me because sitcoms are just as much filled with artistic decisions as the latter but seen as unworthy for being less heavy handed on the way they approach it.
the idea that theres a piece of media unfit for critical analysis purposes simply because they use comedic tones to convey a message is so disheartening and, sure, i think theres a lot of fault to be given to modern tv being more for entertainment than art, overconsumption etc but overall there’s a very classist undertone to perceiving any type of media as less artistic.
so called “media fanatics” would gauge their eyes out after finding out most beginning era cinema was comedic and lighthearted.
charden <3 charmac <3 macdennis <3 chardee <3 deetress <3
that relatable moment when your unhealthy obsession with your sister leads you to ruin every single chance at happiness she's ever had
still flabbergasted at the idea of mac and dennis ever being “very straight in the earlier seasons” as if dennis didn’t get dicked down by some dudes and mac wasn’t trying “to impress terell” in the goddamn pilot, not even counting the black out drunk scene
girl dinner
deep down what macdennis needs is just to host a jane austen ball at paddy’s and boom. they plow.
good omens 2 finale spoilers //
insane over how could azi look at crowley like this and then leave him behind
i miss rcg’s early 2000’s swag badly
whats your discomfort episode of sunny. not even necessarily your least favourite. just the episode that you feel deeply inconvenienced by regardless of how objectively good it may or may not be
the gang broke dee, i can’t rewatch the ending
what is ur always sunny comfort ep
my one and only qualm with frank v russia is that they de-canonized frank reynolds being a freak bitch who likes taking it up the ass. WHY are we pretending that the man who, according to artemis, FREQUENTLY needs an “anal stimulant” to get off would be weirded out by mac letting a stranger control the anal beads in his ass via remote control. he shouldve gone on a rant about the last time he had beads up his own ass until charlie mercifully swept him away to play chess and left dennis & dee even more traumatized than usual
something something something dennis’ imaginary scenarios always involve dee not being hurt (the gang saves the day, the gang does a clip show) & dee hanging out happily with the gang without being the constant target (dennis takes a mental health day)
sick and twisted of always sunny to pair dennis with children and have so many wholesome scenes just to never involve them in the show again
season 17 NEED is dee shooting every member of the gang, i can’t stand it anymore
huge fan of the “technology makes dennis become criminally insane” genre
