The game has been beaten! Now, it’s time for step 2!

It was a lot of fun to use the aces of my team, Masquerain and Sableye. I followed an rng manipulation to find Surskit easily enough, and Sableye joined my team to deal with Normal types.

It ended up staying on my team after I used rare candies to level it up to 100 so its Night Shade attack could do crazy damage.

I even had four Zigzagoons on my team, and I chose one to stand out among the rest.

Pelipper and Tentacruel were useful for exploration and being the tanks when my main mons went down. They really came in clutch during the elite four battles.

Treecko sadly ended up being sidelined, but I don’t mind it much. It still had its strengths in the early game when Surskit only knew Bubble and Quick Attack. And at least they made it on the same team at the end.

My partner in crime will be this Shiny Treecko!

The moment I got it was so cool a dang piece of the DS’s hinge fell right off!(sidenote: apparently ds hinges are prone to breaking, I found out about this like a few years ago, but it’s still dumb that it happens. My ds still works, thank god).

Now, it’s time to venture into the world of Pokemon!

I am on a new quest! Not a Nuzlocke this time, but something even cooler(debatable).

I know this discovery is like old news to some, but ever since I learned about the mail glitch on Pokemon ruby and sapphire, I couldn’t stop thinking about how cool it would be to use other glitches to complete the Pokedex.

I already tried most of them, like the Mail Item duplication glitch and the Latios/Latias roaming glitch, but then I found this video on Blumagma’s channel.

The video was a year old, but I didn’t feel like learning how to rng manipulate… until Now!

It took me 10-15 tries(Sorry for not including an exact number, I lost count when I finally got it). So I’m just going to see how much I can manipulate my future team of Pokemon to be the best they can be!

I am pretty excited to start this run. I felt like it was destiny that I bought this game from ebay for like, $20 in 2018(?).

I’m gonna get started on that now, so I’ll be a bit busy.

Seventh gym down, but unfortunately, our run ended against Maxie in the multi battle.

Maxie had a Celebi AND a Suicune! And Steven’s Pokemon were so underleveled. I tried to keep my Dragonite alive long enough for the poison to take effect but Suicune got lucky with attack boosts from Meteor Mash!

What a weird journey this was.

Winona meets the evil and intimidating horse.

Two badges left to go and some unimportant story stuff to take care of. This is the point of the run where the level curve goes crazy.

Here’s a Steel type Omanyte I caught.

It’s got claws to grasp at its prey, kind of like Malamar’s weird tendrils(is that the word?). It’s shell having been discovered to have been tempered under extreme pressure in the world’s deepest depths gives it the Steel type.

The Fifth gym is down!

The gym is Fighting type themed, so I thought a Fighting type Groudon. Yep, they didn’t stand a chance against my fighting resistant team!

Also, here is my prototype interpretation of Magmar in my randomizer.

It was a Ghost/Flying Type when I fought it back in the first gym. The spikes obviously became feathers, because why would a bird have such huge spikes?

It probably enjoys a delicious meal of bones and small Ghost type Pokemon, maybe even competing with Mandibuzz for prey like Cubone, who I learned is a Rock/Grass type.

I have defeated the Fourth Gym leader!

Elec with Tail Glow took down the entire enemy team, including this Psychic/Normal Regirock!

Might get the Fifth Gym Leader done with in a few minutes, as the level cap is not that much higher.

Here are some of my concepts for Aron’s design in my Randomized nuzlocke. I turned him into a Horse/Dinosaur thing. Aron is a Normal type until it gains the Ground type as a Lairon and the whole evolution line has Drought.

I gave them little foot guards so they can dig better but Aggron’s get all jagged from being rough with them and uses them to dig into the dirt when standing their ground(get it?). They would probably fight over the sunniest spots in the region like the desert or the beaches in Hoenn.

Third gym leader down, turns out the type theme was Ground.

Wattson pulled up with Two Aggrons! But Dolce the Ice/Normal Growlithe pulled through and one shot the entire team with Ice Beam before getting one shot in a different battle against the Winstrate Family gauntlet.

A shame too because she had Lock On and Fissure. Oh well.

I’m kind of obsessed with making these designs for the Pokemon in my randomized game. I just found out that the Marill line is Electric type, so here’s a Pikachu colored Marill. I added a few other details like the stripes and a little fang. I did mess up on the ear symmetry, I guess I should stick to copy pasting the parts I want to be similar. I think I’ll make a fixed design later.

I’ve been making notes on my notes app on every Pokemon I’ve encountered. I could make more drawings based on these notes if I felt like it, so stay tuned or something.

Here’s Elec’s evolution. The little guy learned Tail Glow so I gave him a little night light for a tail. It’s sleeping in its cocoon waiting to emerge, but it still has some destructive power if provoked.

Second Gym done!

It was a Volbeat Sweep! Spore on a Pokemon faster than literally a Mushroom Dinosaur or a painted dog can do wonders in a nuzlocke.

Also, Elec evolves!

I think that’s pretty cool. Still pure Bug type though.

Here’s another drawing based on my Randomized Nuzlocke.

A Ghost/Steel type Zigzagoon that could’ve ended my run if I had Pokeballs. Truth is, it actually destroyed my Dratini in the first scripted battle, because it used Bullet Seed and skipped the run away it would’ve done once I got to low hp. Since that was kinda bs, I didn’t count it as a loss.

I wanted to base it off of a possessed suit of armor or a segmented sword, like this one:

This is the puzzling stone sword from Dark Souls 2. It segments and acts like a sword/whip in game.

Anyways, the next gym’s type I’ve figured out is the Rock type. Kinda funny how the first gym that was supposed to be Rock type ended up being a different type.

I’ve done it. I defeated the Gym Leader.

It was pretty tough, ya know. My best option against’s Roxanne’s Ghost/Flying(?) type Magmar was using Perish Song.

Very scary situation indeed.

Also the Rival’s starter evolved earlier than mine, and I’m pretty sure the next level cap is one level away from Elec evolving, so that’s kinda silly.

Some cool facts to share, John learned Spore pretty early, and Elec learned Dragon Claw(would’ve been cool if he was still a Dragon Type).

I went and got my encounters before preparing for the first gym. I’ve deduced that the gym theme is Ghost types.

Here’s the team. I had a Seaking I named Honey but she got one-shot by a Rhydon’s Horn Drill(you heard me right, Rhydon’s moveset randomized into having Horn Drill even earlier), so that sucks.

The Moltres isn’t that good either, the only saving grace it has going for it is having White Smoke as its ability.
