I would like to share what im working on for yall, happy birthday musithical!

been enjoying an emerald run with a randomizer cranked up to what i would consider about 80% crazy:

completely random wild and trainer pokemon

random abilities/moves regardless of legality

wild pokemon spawn with a full set of 4 moves

wild pokemon held items are completely random and aren't just limited to berries or other "usable" items

trainers prefer to keep one type consistent in their team, but the type chosen is random (bug catcher with all ghosts, etc)

level curve standardized into legendaries vs non-legendaries

catch chance is still way lower on legendaries

slight preference for pokemon to have at least a few "good" attack moves of one of its types in its learnset

preset pokemon encounters like the route 120 kecleon, the wynaut egg, and overworld legendaries are NOT randomized (but they still have their fucked up randomized abilities/moves)

evolutions are randomized (i used a water stone on an eevee and it turned into a dunsparce)

evolutionary chains are not just limited to 3 stages (as long a pokemon is still an NFE species, it can evolve again, even if it's already evolved twice before)

wonder guard is enabled!

my team right now is a little silly:

i'm pretty much sticking to legendaries (except for that diabolical wg/swagger/toxic porygon) and i'm holding out for finding a groudon before i reach the elite four, hence the empty party space bc i don't want to invest in something i'm going to switch out later.

i keep most of my HMs on a celebi with an ability that was too disturbing to keep in a box:

abilities are pretty consistent from what i can tell, as are movesets on wild pokemon. for example, every single wynaut i've seen has the poison point ability. i think my favorite one i've seen so far was a quagsire in the middle of the desert on route 111 that had drizzle and knew milk drink. absolutely peak vibes on that guy.

held items for wild pokemon are also consistent, albeit randomized to begin with. there's a bunch of wild snorlaxes behind the flower shop on route 104, and every single one of them is holding a big pearl, so when i need cash i just spam covet on as many snorlaxes as i can find until i've gotten enough to buy whatever i want.

i've found completely random items with covet besides expensive sellables. lots of TMs, potions, stat-boosting items for the wrong type/species, and even three masterballs (from yanma, which i only found one of, and gastly, which i have to catch because they're immune to covet). i even found a fab mail on a pigeotto, which i think is only available by trading it in from frlg.

also my secret base kinda sucks ngl.

i'm going to shoot for beating the national dex, or at least i'll see how close i can get!

I think I did a pretty good job here. Kinda reminds me of Weedle or Venonat. btw I’m pretty sure the Zigzagoons are Ghost/Steel type, so a bit of a yikes from me.
