Fireworks look better with you- Selphy and Owen

Owen laughed deeply and leaned his cheek on the top of Selphy’s head. “Yeah, Raguna did say something about dragons before. Not such how good he’d be against one though. I should take him to the mines to toughen up his arms a bit."

There a bit of commotion from where the old blacksmith had the fireworks at, and Owen slid an arm around Selphy’s waist. Smooth.The show was about to start! “Well, you’ll see in a few minutes, but fireworks are one of the best things about summer. I can’t believe you’ve never seen them before!" She’d probably only seen them in a book, knowing her. “It’s one of those things you can’t just read about, you’ve got to be there for it!" He told her enthusiastically as the first firework whizzed up into the air. Owen turned from the fireworks to watch Selphy’s reaction to them.

"You would be surpised, you know! Raguna is a lot tougher than he looks!..." Selphy shrugged and concluded that whatever Raguna had to prove to Owen would be between them and not her. Owen was strong, though, she wondered if he could break one of Raguna's swords with his bare hands. That was something for another day. She was finally able to see Owen again, and she wasn't going to waste their time arguing about a farm-warrior-amnesiac's upper-body strength.

Selphy nestled into Owen, his arm somehow finding its way around her waist while she wasn't paying attention. "If you say so, Owen!" She laughed at his zeal for the explosives and turned to watch the show. With a pop, the fireworks flew into the air and a boom shortly followed. It took Selphy a few times to stop flinching into Owen when the fireworks exploded, but she was amazed at the brightness of them. She would occasionally glance over and be able to see Owen fully without any other light. She found the fireworks to be astounding. They popped up in a bunch of different shapes, it seemed. She turned and looked up at Owen. "Did the blacksmith make these? Can you make these?" She said with enthusiasm. "They're beautiful!"

Owen jumped a little when a pair of hands landed on his shoulders. He quickly snapped his head around and grinned brightly when he saw that Selphy was here. “Hey, it’s good to see you too!" He patted the spot next to him, “How was the trip over here? No dragons I hope?" He asked, chuckling a little about the dragons.

The fireworks were set to start in a few minutes. The old blacksmith from this town put on the show every year. Owen had met his grandson once before, nice guy, works hard. “You ever been to the fireworks show here before? It’s the best one around, even better than the one in Castanet!" He was excited for the show to start. “Do you all have a show in Trampoli?"

Selphy grinned back at Owen and sat beside him, sighing and resting her head on his shoulder for a moment before replying to him. She rolled her eyes. "No, there aren't any dragons between Trampoli and Mineral Town! They're in the Snow Ruins! You really should talk to Raguna about that!" 

The sky was quickly becoming dark. "I've never been to any fireworks show! Trampoli doesn't have one, and I've hardly traveled since I moved there, until I met you!" She blushed a little upon saying that. It was embarrassing to actually say out loud to his face that he was at least somewhat significant in her life. "What are they like, though?" Selphy had only heard things about fireworks. All she had learned in books was that they were explosives that were loud and colorful and came in a lot of different shapes and sizes.

Fireworks look better with you- Selphy and Owen

Summer was the best season, in Owen’s opinion. And one of the best things about summer is the fireworks festival that a small farming town puts on every year. Mineral Town probably has the biggest fireworks that Owen had ever seen. This year would be best one yet because he was meeting Selphy to watch them together.

Owen arrived a few minutes early to spread a blanket out on the beach and wait for the librarian to show up. He was excited to see her, because he just knew that Selphy would love it too. Calmly, he smoothed out the wrinkles in the blanket he brought and watched the Mineral Town citizens set up for the show.

Selphy typically wasn't fond of Summer, and going out meant she had to find her parasol when the sun was up. Since she'd met Owen and they had become close, however, she had reasons to actually journey out once in a while. Her and Owen decided to get out today and go meet at a town that she wasn't particularly familiar with, but she made it to Mineral Town safely. 

With a few inquiries and a couple of wrong turns she arrived at the beach and scanned the area, quickly spotting Owen's broad shoulders and bright red hair; a bright smile spread on her face and she made her way toward him. She wasn't particularly used to the beach. It was her first time out this Summer, for whatever reason, and the sand felt unfamiliar under her feet. She walked slowly toward Owen and tried to keep as quiet as possible, though she couldn't help but giggle a little. It had been ages since she had seen him. 

"Owen!" She leaped forward from behind and put her hands on his shoulders, hoping to spook him a little. "It's so good to see you!"
