Selina sat on the couch wrapped up in her fuzzy blanket off her bed waiting for her father to come out of his room. Her brother left for work thirty minutes ago and she expected her father to be up by now to go to work. Still nothing. She sat there in silence as she tried not to think the worse even after Robby's talk with her last night. Her thoughts were cut off when she heard a door open. She looked up to see her father in his lounging clothes instead of his work ones which left her a little confused. "Are you not going to work?" Selina voice brought Johnny's attention to the couch. "How long have you been out here?" Johnny asked his daughter. "Since five thirty."
"Why so early?" Johnny went over to the Keurig Carmen bought him for Christmas. Took him a week to figure out how to work it. "I couldn't sleep." Selina spoke. "Yeah me either." Johnny grabbed a bottle of orange juice from the fridge and his now full coffee cup and started heading over to Selina. Johnny handed Selina the orange juice. "No I'm not going to work. I'm staying with my daughter today and we are going to figure this out." The words gave Selina somewhat of a relieving feeling. Johnny sat down on the couch next to Selina and took a sip of his coffee. "I wasn't expecting this, especially from you. Honestly if I were to guess I thought your brother would be the one knocking someone up."
"I've gotten that from both Robby and Tory already. The not expecting this part not the Robby knocking up Tory part." Selina played with the label on her small orange juice bottle. "You're a smart girl. Way smarter than I ever was. Something you must've gotten from your mother."
"Selina." Johnny took a breath. "I don't know what you want to do. I can't make this decision for you. I know that this is not an easy decision and I know you're scared. When your mother told me she was pregnant I was beyond freaked out. Then she told me that she was having you and I was even more freaked. Then Robby was born and I fucked up with him and not being there. I couldn't do that again. Then you were born and I was the second person to hold you and I just-" Johnny took a breath.
"I knew I would do whatever I needed to to protect you and Robby. After you were born I wasn't scared anymore. I knew I had everything I needed with the two of you. Whatever you want to do. Have it, not have it, I'm going to be right here."
It was rare Johnny ever said anything about Selina's mother. They didn't like to bring her up, well Selina didn't. She never thought she should give that woman one ounce of attention. She didn't deserve it. Johnny respected that. He loved his kids more than anything in the world and he knew they were growing up. He spent the whole night having to come to terms with it. It wasn't easy for him but he knew Selina was a grown up almost and she was now dealing with a grown up decision. He knew it was going to be hard on her and was going to do everything he could to make what he could easy for her.
Selina wiped a tear she didn't even realize was falling from her face. She felt safe, Robby was right. "Thanks dad." Selina went in for a hug. "So do you know what you're gonna do? I'm not expecting you to just figure it out in five minutes." Johnny asked. Selina took a deep breath "I'm gonna have it." Selina whispered. Johnny nodded in acceptance. "We are gonna have to find someone to fill your spot now." Selina rolled her eyes and chuckled. "Of course you bring up karate."

Miguel knew he had to talk to Selina today. He had to figure things out with her, but when he looked around the lot for her car he started to get concerned. Especially seeing just Robby and Tory come out of Robby's truck. "Hey where's your sister?" Miguel asked as they walked into the yard of Miyagi- Do. Robby looked over to see Miguel. His voice was trying its best to not give away the hint of desperation. "Oh she um, she wasn't exactly feeling the best this morning. I think my dads staying with her today. So she's not gonna be at practice." Robby wasn't exactly lying. "Is she okay? Thats twice now." Miguel asked.
"Yeah. Are you?" Robby asked his friend who he knew his life was going to change soon. He didn't even know it yet. "Yeah. Why would you ask? Do I not look okay?" Miguel panicked. Was he that transparent? "You look fine. Maybe a little pale. Why do you need Selina?"
Miguel tried to find an excuse but nothing was coming to mind. He never needed or even wanted to talk to Selina in the eyes of his friends. So what lie was he going to try to tell one of his best friend. "It's just about this thing for class. We're partners so..."
"Uh huh." Robby nodded his head. "Well I'm sure she'll be better soon."

The two sat there eating sandwiches that Selina was surprisingly keeping down and watching the rest of the old eighties movie Johnny had to pause last night. A scene popped up on the screen of a couple and their child which made Johnny wonder. There was still one important question that he forgot to ask.
"So do you want to tell me who the father is?" Johnny asked his daughter. Selina's hairs all over her body stood up and the goosebumps started to spread. "Oh yeah." She trailed off. "The father, I forgot about that."
"Yeah typically Selina it takes two to tango or do it or whatever you kids are saying nowadays." Johnny said taking a bite of his sandwich. "Yeah about that I don't exactly think you'll like it." Her words made Johnny start to worry. "What do you mean?"
Selina felt her heart rate speed up and her anxiety take over her. She couldn't pull what she did yesterday again. She needed to take a second for her to be fully ready about telling her father that part. She knew he would absolutely try to beat this shit out of anyone who knocked her up. The fact that it was his student, the kid he always thought of like another son to him. She knew he was going to lose it.
She put her sandwich down and stood up off the couch. "I think I'm going to go to the school. Maybe run on the track. I just need to take a second." Selina's body was faster than her words as she started walking over to her room. "Selina what do you mean I won't like it?" Johnny asked again outside of his daughters bedroom door. "Selina?" He asked again this time knocking. Her door reopened but this time she changed out of her pajamas and into her dark blue leggings and matching sports bra and zip up jacket.
"Dad I just need a second I'm sorry." She walked past Johnny towards the kitchen to grab her bag and water bottle. "Selina Katerina Lawerence." Selina stopped in her steps, her hands clutched her car keys from off the table. She knew after this she was going to need to make an escape. "It's Miguel." Her voice low and words quiet. "What did you say?" Johnny had to ask again to make sure he heard her right.
She just looked up at him standing in the family room. "Did you just say it's Miguel's?" Selina didn't stick around for the next part as her feet brought her to the front door as quick as can be. As the door shut behind her she left her father confused but most of all upset and angry. That's when he grabbed his car keys.

"Okay one more." Robby instructed to Miguel as they practiced the new defense move Daniel's been trying to teach the past two days. "Okay okay." Miguel was getting in position when-
"Diaz!"
A loud voice shouted over all the students. Daniel's face turned to Johnny entering the dojo. His face red and his fist balled. Miguel turned over to Johnny who was just staring down at him. Miguel shared a confused glance over at Robby. "You think you can knock up my daughter and not tell me!"Β Johnny's voice rang through the yard of Miyagi-Do dojo. Everyone's head turned from their angry Sensei to Miguel. Miguel's face turned instantly pale, eyes widen.
His fists lowered from Robby and turned over to Johnny completely. Johnny's steps started making their way towards Miguel when Daniel's stepped in his way. "Johnny, Johnny, maybe we need to calm down and talk inside. You're not thinking clearly" Daniel said trying to block every step Johnny took.
"Stay out of it Larousso." Johnny didn't let Daniel get in his way as he kept his eye on his prize. "Dad calm down." Robby said watching his father get closer to the two of them he wasn't stoping.
"Dad!" Robby yelled causing Johnny to take a pause. "You know he did this to your sister?" Johnny asked Robby. "Selina's pregnant?" Miguel asked or more like stated. Trying to calm all the thoughts going through his head at the moment and hoping the blood would circulate through his body again. He could feel the paleness of his entire body. Johnny looked back over at Miguel "What? You didn't know?"
"Miguel what is he talking about?!" Sam spoke up. Her body felt warm and her heart was racing. This couldn't be real. There is no way this is happening Sam thought to herself. She could feel her team mates eyes on her. She just started to possibly get back in the game with him. Now this?
"No." Miguel huffed out answering Johnny then looked back at Robby. "Go." He muttered and with that Miguel started to make his way off the tatami and pass the shocked faces of his fellow team mates. "Miguel!" Sam shouted. "Diaz!" Johnny yelled after him. "Dad, stop. Take a breath."
"What the fuck." The words escaped Sam's mouth with venom causing Tory to take a second away from looking at her boyfriend and his father. Her eyes traveled to Sam who was just standing there trying to put together what just happened.

Miguel slammed the car door to his jeep closed and ran up the metal stairs straight to Selina's apartment. Flashback of what happened last time he knocked on that door with purpose. Another knock but no answer. Miguel grabbed his keys out of his pocket and grabbed the spare key Johnny made him and opened the door. "Selina?" Miguel's voice boomed through the apartment.
Nothing. It was completely empty. Miguel took a deep breath and walked out slamming the door behind him. He didn't know what to to and he couldn't go home, not yet.
Johnny shifted the gear to his car to park ready to just be home and have a beer. After the day he's had he needs it. His eyes glanced over at the stairs leading to the second floor to his apartment complex. There on those metal stairs sat Miguel on the top step. Johnny took a deep breath and knew what he had to do.
"Hey kid." Johnny's voice brought Miguel out of his thoughts. "Hey Sensei." Miguel wiped the tear coming out from his left eye and cleared his nose and throat as he stood up. "Sit kid. It's okay, I think you can call me Johnny for this one." Johnny said calmly as he made his way up the stairs to plant himself right beside Miguel. He let out a sigh as he placed the six banquets he bought twenty minuted prior on the step below them. He pulled one out of the clear plastic and went to hand it to Miguel. "Here." Miguel looked down at the bottle then back up at Johnny. "Take it, I think after the day we both had we deserve it."
Miguel sighed and grabbed the bottle from Johnny while Johnny grabbed his own. Miguel unscrewed the cap and took a swig. "Look, I didn't know you were seeing my daughter or Sam or if you're not I don't know what's going on. What I can say is I love my daughter. I don't tell her as much as I should but I do. I've known you for a long time now, I've grown to care about you too. A lot."
"Thanks Johnny." Miguel sighed. "Truthfully I thought you guys hated each other." Johnny spoke. "We do-or- I don't know anymore." Miguel sighed. "Wait, Selina, is Selina the girl you were talking about?" Johnny inquired. Miguel took another sip of the glass bottle in his hand and nodded. "Shit kid, I didn't know." Johnny could tell Miguel was feeling conflicted but overall overwhelmed. "I didn't either. I still don't, it's complicated and I made it worse."
"Worse than knocking her up?" Johnny joked before taking a swig. Miguel nodded "I just added more to it. I kissed Sam the other night in front of her." Miguel's confession left Johnny confused. "You guys aren't like secretly dating behind our backs or whatever? Damn I had a good vhs porno of that back in 87' and it-" Johnny looked back over at Miguel and went back into focus. "Anyways so you guys weren't-"
Miguel shook his head "No, we um- we just um-" Miguel was trying his best to not say this out loud to her father none of the less. "Were hooking up?" Miguel looked over at Johnny waiting for him to react again the way he did before. He didn't know how he was gonna feel about his student not even dating his daughter and her she is pregnant. Miguel stayed silent.
"I was young once, I get it. I didn't know you didn't know but whatever happens I'm going to be there for you both. I'm sorry I blew up a little bit earlier in front of everyone." Miguels focus has been on Selina and the baby and what he was going to do he forgot all about the fact that everyone else knew too. "I couldn't find her and my mom's home I just didn't want to go home yet." Miguel explained."I thinks she's at the school track. Thats where she told me she was going anyways."
"I'll try to talk to her when she gets home I guess. I ruined her life and- Fuck! What do I do Sensei?" Miguel asked as more tears formed in his eyes. "First of all kid, you didn't ruin her life and she doesn't think that too. I talked to her earlier. You both are going to figure this out and whatever happens like I said and I think I can speak for your mom too that we both will be there."
Miguel never really heard Johnny speak like this and even when he was drunk which was when his feeling if any would slip. It made him feel a whole lot better knowing his sensei and the man he sees like a father figure to him had his back no matter what.
Just then, their conversation was cut short by a car door closing. Their heads turned over to see Selina with her water bottle in hand and her bag over her should walking away from her car. Miguel handed his beer to Johnny as they stood up from their step. "You'll know what to do kid."
The raven haired girls eyes glanced up to the stairs as her hand held the beginning of the railing. "Miguel? Dad? What's going on?" Selina's voice trembled. Truth was she didn't have to ask, she already knew. "Selina we need to talk." Miguels words made Selina's heart beat quicker. "Yeah, okay." She took a deep breath knowing the conversation she needed to eventually have was going to happen sooner than she planned.
"Have you thought of what you want to do?" Tory asked as they sat on the top of an old picnic table in Mendoza park about five minute walk from their high school. "I don't know." Selina sighed as she took a bite of her cotton candy ice cream. The two felt that after the day they had they deserve some good ice cream. Even in January they both wouldn't turn it down. "Does any one else know? Your dad?" Tory took a bite of her own chocolate this time. Selina scoffed "Yeah right. If he did you would've heard of a murder by now." Tory gave her a confused and worried look. "Oh no not me, the father probably."
"Yeah..." Tory trailed off taking one more bite of her ice cream. "Selina who's the father? You're not dating anyone. Shit did you and Theo-"
"No! No we didn't." Tory's eyes stayed on Selina confused. Theo was the last person she ever saw Selina possibly interact in any type of way. How could it not be him? Selina took a deep breath.
Tory was her best friend and she knew she could be judgmental. She never really was with Selina but Selina knew that if there was ever a time. It would be now. "You put this on your grave, at least for right now." Tory nodded "Swear. I was already going to do that with this whole thing if you haven't -" Tory started but Selina's deadpanned face stopped her mid sentence. "I promise."
"Miguel." The name felt like poison coming out her mouth. She finally said it out loud and it made her feel sick to her stomach. Only she doesn't think that's what was truly making her queazy. Tory's eyes widened. "Miguel? Like our friend Miguel? Sam's ex-boyfriend Miguel? That Miguel?" Tory was in disbelief.
"Not really my friend-." Selina whispered. " Well, clearly he's something if you fucked him. Holy shit." Tory said quietly then "Holy shit!" it hit her. "How-when did this happen?" Selina knew Tory was full of questions and she knew she would have to answer them the second she told her. "It was like a few nights after the Halloween party. He came over things just happened I don't know Tory." Selina put her head in her hands.
"What do you mean things just happened? You guys hate each other." Tory needed more details about how this could've possibly happened. "He came over and he kissed me and we just started I don't know going at it? God listen to me I sound like an idiot"
"Did you guys use anything? If so whatever it was didn't work." Selina pursed her lips and tilted her head at Tory. "Sorry." Tory apologized. "A condom but it broke. So I bought a plan B the next morning. Guess that didn't work." Selina sighed. "Clearly not." Tory put down her ice cream cup on the old wood. "Seems like it. That time anyways."
"Hold up what?" Tory's eyes got bigger. "What the hell do you mean that time? It happened more than once?" Tory's words full of shock and confusion. "We did it again like ten minutes later."
"Well did you use anything that time? Even through the plan b should have covered that." Tory questioned but Selina just avoided eye contact.
"Not that time. Then there was the next day-" Selina trailed off. "Selina how many time have you two slept together?" Tory asked amazed. "Thirty. The most recent time was Christmas." Selina whispered. "Thirty times Selina!" Tory then took a breath before continuing "Okay did you use anything any of those other time?"
Selina once again avoided eye contact. "Selina you didn't." Tory gasped. "He pulled out. Sometimes." Selina defended. "Clearly not enough!" Selina knew they did it to themselves if that was the case and there's no one to blame but herself. "My God Selina, I'm still shocked about Miguel. Thirty times?!" Tory confessed. "Yes Tory thirty or so times. Yes. We're not together so I need to figure out what to do." Selina groaned. "Your dad's going to loose it. Sam's going to kill him."
"Don't get me started on that." Selina groaned putting her head in her hands.Β "Is this why he was acting weird during the formal too?" Tory asked. "Ding ding." Selina's words backing up Tory's question. "So this is why you didn't drink anything the other night."Β
"Don't even get me started on the other night." Selina rolled her eyes. "What happened the other night?"Β
"I told Miguel we were done." Selina started as she sat back up taking her head out of her hands. "I thought you said you guys aren't together?" Tory asked confused. "We had an unspoken arrangement to put it lightly." Tory raised her eyebrows curiously surprised. "Okay..." She trailed off. "I told you it just sort of happened and then kept happening. The night when we had the fire at our place, when he came to check up on me. I drunkly might of said something about him not wanting to talk about us."Β
"So what happened the other night then?" Tory asked. "I found out I was pregnant like right after that and I kinda of just kept my distance. Miguel found me at the party and we got into it for a second just before he told me he needed me. Then-"
"He needed you?" Tory questioned. "Yeah I don't know he was going on about how I'm so annoying but he loves it and how he needed me and I don't know, He was drunk. Anyways, then I told him we were done with whatever it was we were doing. II went out side and that's when he-"Β
"Got with Sam." Tory finished Selina's sentence. "Yeah." Selina slowly nodded. "And you guys haven't spoken since?" Selina shook her head. "Nope."Β
"You need to tell him at some point soon Selina." Tory started but was quickly cut off by Selina. "Tory I can't-" Tory shook her head. "No Selina you can and you will. Say what you want about him. I know you guys get into it and fight and stuff but Selina you know he cares about his friends and his family. He cares about you-clearly" Tory eyed Selina stomach earning a scoff from the girl. "Truthfully I think whatever you decide to do Miguel is gonna be there with you. I think your family will too. But you can't just ignore them and ignore this."Β
XXXX
Selina pondered on Tory's word on the whole way home to the point where she felt them engraving themselves in her brain. When she got home she walked in to her father sitting on the couch watching old eighties movie while Robby worked on a paper on the kitchen table. "Where were you and Tory today? We needed you at practice." Johnny asked his daughter as he paused the movie. "I-um" Selina froze. She looked over at her brother who was waiting for an answer too since Tory didn't pick up one text of phone call either. "We just needed a second." Was all Selina could come up with. Johnny looked at her confused. "Needed a second? What the hell does that even mean? Is that some dumb shit you kids are saying when you're overwhelmed or some shit?"
Selina could feel the nausea hitting her again mixed with the overwhelming feeling of Tory's and her conversation. She could feel herself getting clammy and all the saliva in her mouth getting hot. She kept trying to swallow the lump in the back of her throat to keep the vomit down. "God this generation wouldn't even last-" Johnny's words were quickly cut off by his daughters.
"Dad I'm pregnant." Selina's words were quick and short as she felt the vomit creep up on her. She quickly ran to the sink in the kitchen and started to let out all the contents in her stomach. Robby looked at his sister then back at his father who was standing there in an unreadable emotion.
Robby looked back at his sister and got up and headed over to the sink. Robby grabbed the ends of Selina's hair and made a makeshift bun in his hand. His other hand rubbed her back as she finished up. Selina backed away from the sink and went to wipe her mouth with her hand till Robby stopped her. "Here." Robby ripped off a piece of the paper towel roll and handed it to Selina. The two glanced over to their father who was still standing there slowly nodding his head before taking a large swig of his banquet.
"We um- we will talk about this in the morning. I think I'm gonna head to bed." Johnny took one last sip finishing off his drink. "It's nine pm?" Robby question. "Yeah. Yeah." Johnny whispered under his breath to himself as he placed his empty Coors on the table and headed to his room.
Robby returned his attention back to his sister. "You okay?" Selina just nodded. "Yeah. Yeah I think." She took a deep breath. She really did just rip the bandaid off no practicing on what she was going to say. No thinking it through. She just did it. "You're pregnant?" Robby asked. "Yeah." Selina nodded. Robby took a deep breath. He was on the same page as his girlfriend. He never would've expected anyone in his friend group to get pregnant honestly, especially his sister. He had so many questions. "Okay. Okay so when did you? How? Who?" Robby felt like his thoughts were going a million miles an hour.Β Selina walked over to the kitchen table and sat down across from Robby. "I found out a week ago. I'm guessing based off period math, I'm around a little over two months-" Selina started. "A little over two months? That puts it at around Halloween."
"Is that what you and Miguel were talking about on New years?"
"Miguel?" Selina's eyes went wide and her heart rate sped up just from hearing his name. He's been a hot topic of conversation. "It wasn't on Halloween." Selina didn't answer the part of Miguel but Robby didn't let up. "Selina that doesn't answer my question."
Selina took a breath before answering. "Okay yes. Yes it's Miguel's. And no, we weren't talking about that on New Years." Selina sighed. "Selina when did this happen you guys hate each other. Don't you?" Robby asked. "Yeah we do."
"Selina you don't just go having sex with the people you don't get along with!" Robby whispered. "I know. I know. Trust me I know it's confusing." Selina leaned back in her chair. "Does he know at all?" Selina shook her head "No."
"Damn it Selina. You need to tell him." Robby muttered. "You don't think I know that Robby?" Selina crossed her arms. "What are you going to do with the baby?" There was the other big question everyone wanted to know besides who the possible father is. "I'm gonna have it." The answer made Robby let out a hard exhale. "If dad doesn't want me here then I'll figure something out I'll-"
"Hold up. You know dads gonna want you here. He's not gonna kick you out." Robby told. "I honestly don't know." Selina was honest she didn't know if she was gonna be able to stay here based off her dads reaction she was hesitant on what his next move was. "Why do you say that?" Robby asked. "Where is he right now?" Selina leaned onto the table. "He just needs to come to terms with it Selina. He's not going anywhere."
The two sat there in silence for another minute as Selina tried to calm down her thoughts. Then one pushed through all the others. "Robby?" Robby hummed in response. "How did you know about New Years? And Miguel?"
"Uh" Robby paused for a second. "Robby?" Selina asked again. "I had a hunch you and Miguel were sneaking around." Robby's words sent panic through her if he caught on did anyone else catch on. "Was it obvious? Did anyone else-"
"No one else knows Selina. Just me." Robby's words made her heart rate somewhat go back to normal. It still raised the question, how did he figure it out? "So um how did you un- how did you figure it out?"Β
"It started really at the dance. I saw the way he was looking at you around Theo, he was not happy. Then afterwards when the two of you just so happen to disappear. Oh then after that when you were in the shower and I talked to Miguel, he said he was stopping by to get his sweatshirt and you were in the shower when he got there. You said he brought you home cause you got sick. To make things even more convincing your lipstick was on his face and you had a hickey the next day you tried to pass off as a bite."Β
"Then there was Christmas, you and him were gone, once again at the same time. You had claimed that dad called you when I got home I asked him. He never called you. Finally New Year's Eve. I saw you two in the kitchen and I saw how close he was to you. So I just put the pieces together."Β
After Robby's explanation Selina couldn't believe how much her brother was actually paying attention to these things. "And no one else knows?" She asked. "Not to my knowledge." Robby shook his head. "Selina when are you gonna tell him?"
"I need to talk to dad first, I need to see what's gonna happen first." Selina wanted to handle one person at a time when she was telling people. Her father was a big one. She needed to know how he feels about her decision first.
"Hey you want a ride tonight?" Hawk's words pulled Miguel's attention away from his locker. "I'm probably gonna ride with Robby and them." He hasn't seen or spoken much to Selina the past two days. Anytime he was around her though she would be distant and quiet and it bothered Miguel more than he would like to admit.
He was hopeful that maybe he could get a chance to speak with her tonight before they hit the party. It was New Year's Eve, of course there was gonna be someone with no supervision and with that a house party would come into play. "Gotcha gotcha, makes sense. Well just let us know." Hawk leaned against the locker next to him. "Thanks though."
"Yeah no problem." Miguel closed his locker as the two started making they way to the cafeteria. Miguel could feel Hawk's eyes flicker back and forth to him. "What?" Miguel asked. "Are you doing okay?"
"Am I doing okay?" Miguel repeated confused. "Yeah, I mean I don't know dude. You have like this thing about you the past few days. I don't even know how to describe it." Was he that transparent? He barely wanted to admit he was bothered to himself but was everyone else able to see it so clearly? "Well there's nothing to describe cause I'm fine."
"You sure?" Hawk asked once more. "Yeah man I promise." Miguel felt the lie roll off his tongue with such ease as they continued their way down the hall.
XXXX
Selina, Robby and Tory were first to their usual lunch table. "I can be the sober driver tonight." Selina spoke up as she slid her bag on the extra space next to her. "You're not drinking?" Tory asked confused. She didn't overdue it but Robby always preferred being the sober driver in case anything ever happened and they had to make a quick escape.
Which came in handy last time. Besides he didn't mind if his sister and his girlfriend wanted to have a drink or two and have fun. "Nah I'm gonna pass. Besides Robby is always dd. I can do it for a change."
"Thanks I'll let Miguel know." Robby told the two as he unscrewed his water bottle cap. "Actually I think I heard that he was with Hawk tonight." Selina overheard Hawk telling Moon he was going to ask him earlier on in English. Which honestly worked out better for her.
She knew at some point she would have to spill her guts but tonight was not the night. She, herself was still trying to come to terms and wrap her head around everything.
"Yeah, easy enough. So-" Robby's words were cut short when everyone else with their lunch trays sat at the table. Miguel got the spot right across from her. Looking up to see his golden browns connect to hers pulled at something in her. Or it easily could be the morning sickness. She grabbed the strap of her bag and put it on her shoulder.
"Selina where you going?" Moon asked new to her. "I think I'm gonna pass on lunch today. I have to study anyways." Selina lied as she swung her legs over the bench before standing. "Study here with us." Moon said trying to get her best friends to sit back down.
"Sorry I won't be able to focus." Selina's eyes wondered back over to Miguel who stared at her with an emotion he could only link to confusion and a little sadness. "You're still going to the mall with us after school right?" Sam's voice broke the weird unsaid tension only the two on them could pick up on.
"Oh yeah sorry I forgot about that." Selina forgot she told the girls she would join them for the mall after school. Moon wanted to go shopping to try to find a new top for tonight. So she invited them all out to have time with just the girls for. a bit before the party. "Sure." With that Selina made her way out the cafeteria leaving everyone with their own conversations and thoughts. The only one who's thoughts were going over and over in his mind was Miguel.
XXXX
The mall was filled with teenagers coming straight from school to probably do exactly what they were doing. Not only teenagers but families, mothers and fathers with their kids. She never noticed how many of them actually came to the mall. She would watch the little girls with their pigtails swinging in the play around. Little boys playing tag with their fathers or playmates. The sight itself made Selina's heart strings tug a little. She wondered if she would be the teenagers shopping next year or would she be with the families.
"I don't know I feel like the red ranger is so bland sometimes like-" Selina started to drown out Tory's answer on their debate they've been having for the past five minutes on who the most powerful power ranger was. Selina's attention was drawn away to the baby clothes in the display of the baby store. Seeing the little newborn onesies and shoes. Seeing how small they actually were.
Two little shoes could fit in the palm of her hand. She was never one for children, she never really noticed them. Now it seems like that's all she's noticing. Did she want this for herself, was she ready for something like this. To be someones mother? She was thinking about all the things that would come with it. The tantrums, the crying, the money, the worry, the pain, the always being tired.
Was she wanting a life like that? Selina thought about all the horrible things but as she was she watched a mother and her daughter leave the store. The mother whispering I love you's to her daughter as her young daughter giggled. The look of love in the mothers eyes. All of those horrible things Selina was thinking about suddenly went away.
"Selina?" Sam's words grabbed Selina. "What?" Selina looked over to Sam, Moon and Tory staring at her. "What are you doing?" Sam asked. "Oh I was just-" Selina started looking over at the baby booties. "I was just looking at baby shoes and was like oh my god they're so small."
"Yeah...." Sam trailed off. "You coming?" Moon asked. Selina looked at the baby booties one more time then nodded and caught up with the group. If she got anything from the past three minutes is if she was going to do this possibly she needed to clean up some things. She knew the first thing she needed to fix.

"Miggy are you gonna be home before the ball drops?" Carmen asked her son as he grabbed his black jean jacket off the coat hanger by the door. "I'm not sure it depends on my friends I guess." Miguel told his mom as he fixed his collar. "Okay just be safe, have fun!"
"Have fun kid." Jonny added on as he grabbed his coors from the fridge and walked over to the Diaz's couch. "Thanks." Miguel told as he opened the front door and walked outside. His eyes went straight to the parking lot. Noticing Selina, Robby and Tory closed the doors to Selina's car. "Huh." Miguel knew if he ran down maybe he could catch them but Selina was driving and with that he didn't know if she would stop. He reached in his pocket and grabbed his phone. Unlocking it and going straight to Hawk's contact.

They arrived a little late cause Tory had to go home and check on her mom real quick. Once everything was good they headed back out. The party was pretty full when they got there. It was another party in the hills. A child of one of Daniels competitors which none of them knew till they saw the family pictures. Did they necessarily care? No. They walked into the crowded living room but not one of their friends was to be found. "Theres a fire pit outside you wanna go?" Robby asked his girlfriend.
"Remember the last party we went to with a fire pit?" Tory joked. "Come on." Robby started to lead his girlfriend outside. "Wait, Selina?" Tory called out to see if she was joining them. "You guys go I'm gonna try to find something to drink that's not gonna put me on my ass."
"I saw someone with a sprite can a second ago so there's some stuff somewhere." Robby pointed over to the guy on the couch with a sprite can in his hand. "I'll find you guys in a bit." Selina made her way over to the kitchen.
Her eyes wondered past the what seemed like fifty bottles of different kinds of liquor over to the three almost full cartons of sodas. Selina took a step forward when a far too familiar voice came from behind her. "Hey do you want a drink?"
Selina turned around to see Miguel, drink in hand looking down at her. Her sensitive nose could smell the alcohol in his cup and his cologne. Which she was grateful still smelled good to her and didn't send her to the nearest trash can. "I'm driving." Selina simply responded. "Ahh"
"You-you have a ride home?" Selina asked. She still wanted to make sure he was going to be okay since he clearly or hopefully didn't drive there. "Is that an offer?" Miguel asked. "Only if you don't have anyone else..." Selina trailed off causing Miguel to let out a chuckle. "No other kinda of rides?" Miguel stepped closer to her.
"Yeah about that..." Selina trailed off once more. She knew God was presenting her with a chance to clean up this particular mess and this was the one she wanted to start with. The question was, was she ready to deal with it? "Yeah about that." Miguel leaned back on the counter behind him watching her.
"I don't think we should do whatever it is we are doing anymore." Selina blurted out. Miguels expression changed to confusion. An emotion that's all he's been feeling. It finally stopped when the first drop of alcohol hit his lips a few drinks ago. "What is it we are exactly doing Selina?"
"Miguel." Selina looked down at the floor for a second and back up to him sighing. "What? What Selina really? Wasn't it you the other day that said I never brought us up? Well here I am bringing us up."
Selina looks at him confused more confused than she's been all day, hell half the week. Miguel pushed himself off the counter and left his solo cup behind as he walked up closer to her once again. "You don't think I don't think about you? I don't think about how I crave you touching me, talking to me, being around me. You think I don't crave you upright annoying need to always be right. How much you make my blood boil. How I want to shut you up anytime you open your mouth. Yet, somehow I still need it. I need you."
His words made Selina feel warm and like nothing was around her. No people, no obnoxiously loud music blaring through the speakers of the house. Every word, every breath pulled at something in her. Then she went back to his breath and the alcohol on it.
Enough to snap her right back to reality. The reality of the fact that she needed to sort out her life. Not just for her anymore. "Mig- Miguel you're drunk." Selina stuttered as she stepped back. Part of her wish she didn't have to. "So were you, and you let on more than you meant to. Didn't mean I didn't want to hear it."
"Miguel we just can't anymore." Selina sharply stated trying to hold her ground. It was hard, more than she thought it would be. She never thought she would have to run into this problem, this feeling with anyone. Miguel none of the less. "Selina."
"Miguel I'm serious we're done." Selina gulped as she walked past him. Trying to push herself past the cross of people once she hit the living room. Miguel took a deep breath and looked back up but when he did he didn't expect to see Robby.
He was across the room with two solo cups in his hands. They stared at each other for a second before Robby walked away. Miguel want sure what Robby saw or heard but after that honestly he was too drunk to care.
Robby on the other hand couldn't really hear much however he was more focused on how close Miguel and Selina were. He knew something was going on, after the dance, them being gone at the same time, their lies. Here he saw it before his own eyes.

Two hours went by and it was almost midnight as Sam was talking to one of her old friends by the poolside when she was Miguel making his way outside and towards her direction. "Hey stranger what's up with you?" Sam told as he got closer. "We'll talk later." Sam smiled at her blonde friend as they said their goodbyes.
"Nothing much just thinking about you." Miguel slurred a tiny bit but it went unnoticed by Sam who was too focused on the words themselves. "Me? Why is that?" Sam asked. "I was just about what you said a few months ago. I'm sorry we fought." Miguel looked at his ex girlfriend. "Miguel we already went over this. It's forgotten about."
"Yeah well I was just thinking about some of what you said. How we use to be, you brought up a good memory a few weeks ago. Amongst other things."
"What do you mean?" She asked. "Just how I was able to do this." Miguel brought his hand to Sams rubbing the skin softly. "Miguel-"
"And this." His hand traveled up to her hair moving a strand out of her eyes. This made Sam's heart flutter. "Yeah I remember." She whispered. "This." He did something they both were not predicting. His lips landed on hers quickly.
Sam didn't even give it a second thought. Miguel was kissing her again wanting to touch her and be with her again she thought to herself. She wasn't going to question it or where it came from.
"Hey are you ready to go? It's almost midnight." Selina asked her brother as she met up with the rest of her group. "Yeah. I was just saying-" Robby's words were cut off when he looked past his sister at his two friends making out by the pool across from them. "What?" Selina asked waiting for her brother to answer her initial question when she took notice of something else that caught his attention.
She turned to see Miguel and Sam entangled with each other. Selina felt her heart sank. She didn't exactly know why or what she wanted from Miguel hell, if she wanted anything from him. She told him they couldn't keep hooking up but she didn't know exactly what was next. She didn't expect him to just run off and make out with his ex girlfriend though the first chance he got.
She didn't know what to feel. That was until Miguel opened his eyes into his kiss with Sam and saw his friends staring him down in shock. Most importantly though he saw Selina his ex well he didn't even know what to call her now. He couldn't call her his ex cause she wasn't but they had sex. Nowadays though that could just be considered a simple friendship.
When he made eye contact with her is when he knew he fucked up. His lips left Sam's and just kept looking over at his friends and Selina. "Miguel?" Sam was trying to get Miguels attention back onto her. She turned around to see what he was looking at and that's when she saw her friends.
She let out a small giggle. "I'm sorry guys. Didn't mean to traumatize you." Sam awfully joked. Selina gulped down the lump in her throat and turned back to her brother. "You ready? I have to be up early tomorrow for work." Selina looked back at her brother. "Yeah, yeah lets go."
"Leaving so soon?" Demitri asked lounging on his pool chair. "Yeah I have to up early tomorrow for work. I took a shift." Selina answered which got accompanied by a "lame." from Hawk. "I'll see you tomorrow?" Robby said to Tory before giving her a small kiss. "Yeah. I'm going to head out soon hopefully."
"Would you like a ride? I figured you would want to stay later?" Robby asked. "Yeah sure actually. Don't want to interrupt the STD cautionary tale going on over there." Tory motioned to Sam and Miguel across the way. Selina looked back over to the two and Miguel never went back in for another kiss instead he started making his way around the large pool to his friends. "Hey are you guys leaving?" Miguel asked the three. "Yeah Selina's got to be up early." Robby answered shooting Miguel a look that honestly they both couldn't understand. Miguel looked over to Selina though, who was looking at anything but him. "Oh yeah okay."
Selina's eyes finally landed on Miguel and when they did she made sure he couldn't tell any type of emotion she may be feeling she just kept quiet. "Night dude." Robby gave Miguel a pat on the shoulder as he passed him with his girlfriend and sister. Miguel watched her leave and sighed. He knew he fucked up somehow. "So you and Sam?" Hawks voice drew Miguel away from Selina.
XXXX
She sat on her purple sheets frustrated but down right overwhelmed. Why did she care? Why did seeing Miguel and Sam effect her so much. How was she going to handle this with him now? Did she even want to tell him? What if she just told him it wasn't his. She knew he would know it was bullshit. Before Selina could realize it, the tears she didn't know she was hold back started to fall down her cheek. She laid back on her bed and dropped her hands to her stomach. How was she going to take care of a tiny version of them? Would she be by herself? Selina's hands came up to cover her face as she began to sob harder. "What do I do?"she croaked out to herself.

Thursday, January 1st
Almost everyone woke up fine Tuesday morning except Miguel and Selina. Selina's morning sickness really started kicking in keeping her over the bowl for thirty minutes at a time. Miguel woke up with a massive headache and a feeling of regret. His thoughts memories were in and out.
However, one thing he could never forget was the look on Selina's face when her and his friends caught Sam and him. In the past it might of made him feel accomplished or proud he got to her.
Now, he doesn't even know what he's feeling he knows it some type of confusion and deep hurt. He didn't want to hurt her at all which was the most confusing part now. After the past few weeks and after all the small things that has happened between them then sleeping together. Miguel knew something in him changed for her.
He needed her. Except this time it wasn't hunger, it was needing to make sure she was okay.Β "Ughh" Miguel groaned in his pillow as he rolled over. Then he heard a text alert go off on his phone ignoring it completely. That was until it went off again, then again, then once more. "What the hell?" Miguel whispered under his breath as he rolled back over to grab his phone off his night stand.
Hawk:
You okay you were super drunk last night
Like super drunk
Then there was one more.
Sam:
Hey. I just wanted to check on you. I hope you're doing okay this morning. Maybe we can get lunch later? Hope you're feeling better.
:)
Sam. He completely forgot about Sam and how he's going to handle her. He didn't want to hurt her but he didn't want to start up anything up with her. They were drunk, things happen all the time when people are drunk Miguel told himself. He ignored all the messages and laid his head back down on the pillow.

Friday, January 2nd
The school day was awful for Miguel. He tried his best to get a second with Selina but he kept missing his chances. He knew he should probably handle Sam first it was going to most likely be the easiest conversation out of the two. However, that was a dead end too even at lunch he couldn't steal her away from Moon.
He knew she would've happily gone with him just from the way she was looking at him the whole time. Miguel wasn't the only one noticing either. Selina was already trying her best to keep her lunch down the exchanges were just making it want to come up more. Her eyes grazed Miguel's for a second she couldn't read them though. She tried her best but nothing and she couldn't continue to try due to Tory taking her attention away.
It was finally the end of the day and Selina had to figure out how she was going to go to practice and not get kicked in the stomach. She's been able to get away with it as of recent only because she was reaching some of the students some of her wrap around techniques.
However, she was done teaching and now she had to return to normal practice. "So how'd your test go?" Tory asked as she closed her locker. "I think it went well but I'm thinking that I'm acing everything nowadays just to fail." Selina huffed. "What do you mean?" Selina just let it slip she's been feeling down like crap all morning mentally and physically. It's not like she didn't know why but it wasn't like she was ecstatic about it. "I don't know just down I guess." Selina replied. "Yeah I've noticed. Since New Years actually, you were quiet in the car and today. You doing okay?"
Selina took a deep breath. Honestly that's all she wanted to hear but didn't know it. Just for someone to ask her if she was okay. Her eyes started to water up. That was until she felt the warm liquid in the back on her throat. Selina covered her mouth and ran to the bathroom with Tory trying to follow.
When she was able to get in the first thing she noticed was the first stall. The second, was that the bathroom was clear. Selina dropped her bag to the ground and leaned over the bowl to start emptying her stomach. However, when her bag hit the floor it fell on it's side next to her as her belongings from her open front pocket fell out. Tory raced in the stall and closed the door behind her. She grabbed the ends of Selina's hair and held them up while her friend continued over the bowl.
Tory switched her right hand holding Selina's hair over to her left hand and tried to pick up the stuff the fell out her bag. She grabbed two pens and a hair tie then her eyes glanced over to the white stick face down. The same stick that she dropped in her bag a few days ago to hide. Tory wasn't stupid she knew exactly what it was but she didn't know the results. She had a hunch though given the recent circumstances.
She grabbed the stick and slowly turned it over. A small gasp escaped her lips as she saw the two lines. Selina wiped her mouth with a piece of toilet paper and turned around to see Tory holding her test. "Selina?" Tory's eyes connected with Selina's glossy ones. It didn't take long for the gloss to turn into tears. As the tears ran down Selina's face she leaned against the stall wall while her sobs got heavier.
Tory was quick to wrap her arms around Selina bringing her in for the hug she's been needing since she was sitting on her bed that day seeing the lines for the first time.
Tory never would've guessed that it was a pregnancy that was getting to her. Never in a million years did she think. She saw Selina as the type that wasn't really interested in boys or sex just her friends and her future.
"Okay. Okay, it's going to be okay." Tory started to rub Selina's back as she hugged on tight to her. "I promise." Tory's mind was going in a million different directions with life right now. Her grades weren't the best. Her relationship had some stress at the moment and a few more things. All she could think of at the moment, was her friend and how to calm her down and be there for her the best she could.
It was Monday, the day was suppose to be sluggish and full of dread. For Selina however, it's been more sluggish than usual. She felt tired and overall just like crap. Her day felt like it was going on forever and time wasn't moving. Even Miguel and Robby picked up on it at the lunch table. She was quiet the whole time and when Robby asked her what was wrong.
Truthfully she didn't even know. She just didn't want to talk to anyone. She told him the quick nauseousness excuse and he left her alone. However Miguel kept his eye on her. She didn't even try to jab at him once today. He was curious if something happened Saturday that really got to her. If he did something wrong, if their weird moment messed with her.Β

"This sucks. Your brother and I have a big date night tomorrow and I am getting my period now." Tory groaned from the bathroom stall. "Well I'm going to pretend that I didn't hear the "my brother" part, but I'm sorry." Selina sighed as she leaned onto the counter. "Damn it do you have a tampon?" Tory asked. "Yeah I should." Selina put her bag on the counter and opened up the pocket where she had all her products for her period.
When she opened the pocket she noticed it was filled a bit more than normal. Her eyebrows furrowed, why did she have so much? When was the last time she refilled it? Then it hit her, she hasn't cause she didn't need to. Selina's eyes widened and she could feel her heart rate go up. "Fuck." She whispered.
"What?" Tory's voice rang from the stall. "Oh. Um, nothing here you go." Selina put her hand under the stall for Tory to grab the tampon out of her hand. Selina's heart rate sky rocketed as she counted the weeks on her fingers since her last and with each her breathing got heavier.
Finally she raised eight. "Are you carpooling to practice today?" Tory asked as she opened the stall door and headed over to the sink. "I think I'm going to have to pass today." Selina gulped as a million thoughts sped through her head. "You're not coming to practice today?" Tory asked as she turning the handle to the sink. Selina shook her head "I'm not feeling that great today."
"Yeah you've been kinda off today?" Tory pumped the soap dispenser a few times. "I'm just kinda feeling a little out of it today." Selina shrugged. "Okay just let me know if you need anything." Tory offered Selina just nodded as she tried to think of what drug store she was stopping at on the way home.
XXXX
She couldn't be pregnant, there was no way she could be. Well there was but she didn't want to think about it. She didn't want to think of Miguel and her own stupidity. Selina quickly undid the lock to her apartment and shut the door behind her. She swiftly made it to her room dropping her bag on her bed. Opening one of the pockets Selina grabbed the cardboard box within the plastic pharmacy bag in her school bag.
She read the words "Know six days sooner." over and over again before she finally ripped the box open. Grabbing the shiny wrapped stick from the box before discarding the box in the trashcan in her room. Selina ripped open the shiny cover throwing in the trash along side the box before making her way across the hall to the bathroom.
After finally able to release the pee she's been holding for the past hour Selina walked back in her room and shut the door behind her. Her mind raced as she clicked start on her timer on her iPhone.
She sat on the edge of her bed and tried to remain calm. What was she going to do? Was she going to tell Miguel even if she decided to have it or not have it. How would she support herself and the baby with the small waitressing job she just got over Christmas break?
How would her dad react? Her friends? Miguel? Sam? She looked down at the test and didn't even have to wait the additional forty eight seconds there it was.
Two dark blue lines on the white stick. She clicked stop on her phone and took a deep breath with her heart beating a million times a minute. "Hey kid!" Selina heard her fathers voice. Why was he here? Selina wondered. "Selina?" Johnny's voice getting closer to her door.
Selina quickly put the test in the front pocket of her school bag on her bed next to her. "Yeah dad?" She responded as she zipped the pocket. "Hey you doing okay?" Johnny asked after opening her bedroom door. "Yeah why would I not be?"
"Tory said you weren't feeling well." She knew if she was possibly pregnant she couldn't afford any kicks to the stomach at the moment. "Yeah I'm not really feeling the best. You didn't have to come home though to check on me."
"I actually am just getting ready for tonight and checking on you of course." Jonny added. Selina furrowed her eyebrows. Did she miss something? "Tonight?" She questioned. "The Diaz's are coming over for dinner here tonight after practice. I'm thinking pizza, sound good?"
Fuck. Perfect timing. Selina internally groaned at the thought of having to see Miguel now. After an awkward day of glances, not talking and almost avoiding each other. Plus, finding out she's pregnant with his damn child. "Um yeah that sounds good." Selina shot him a small grin. "Okay. Stuffed crust?" Johnny asked. "Yeah. Thanks dad."
"Okay I guess try to relax or something for the next hour before they get here." Johnny instructed. "Will do." Selina sighed as Johnny closed the door behind him and Selina took a deep breath and collapsed back on her bed. "Fuck." she muttered.
XXXX
Selina felt like the whole world was going on in normal moving time. While she sat there feeling every second go by like eternity. Each minute filled with the thought of her becoming someones mother. That she was going to be responsible for another human being. The fact that her whole life was going to have to be put on pause. Her whole everything was going to be put on pause for the next eighteen years.
Thats if she wanted to have it. The thought alone made Selina overwhelmed and the thought of adoption sickened her the most. She was all for all of her options and didn't judge anyone who would take any of them. She knew she couldn't do adoption not with how her mother left her.
She never wanted to feel like she abandoned her baby. Her mind was racing as the little thing inside her grew with half of her dna. While the other half of their dna sat across the table oblivious to what was going on inside her.
"Selina?" Selina came back into focus when she heard her fathers voice once again. "Selina?" He repeated waving his hand in front of her face. "Hmm?" Selina hummed at Johnny. "Are you okay sweetie?" Carmen's warm sweet voice asked. Selina's eyes wondered over to Carmen and Rosa. "She's not feeling well." Johnny told the group. "Honey why are you out here? You should get some rest." Selina eyes went over to Miguel.
He was wondering if now he was going to get sick next but he was a little concerned for her. She looked out of it and out of focus. The same as she did earlier that day. Was she on something? Miguel thought to himself. She couldn't be she wasn't for that type of stuff, drinking was as far as she goes. Was she still feeling weird about the two of them.
More anxiety slowly crept onto Miguel as he looked at the girl across from him who was avoiding eye contact. Still. "Yeah." Selina nodded her head at Carmen as she got up from her place at the table. She grabbed her plate with her piece of pizza she grabbed thirty minutes ago cold and still on her plate. "I'll take care of it. Get some rest kid." Johnny told his daughter. She nodded as she started to walk down the hall.
Rest wasn't what she needed. She needed her brain to stop overthinking and her heart to stop beating a million times per second. "Was she like this earlier?" Johnny asked Miguel. "I haven't really seen her today."
The night was young and the kids were currently spending it at the apartment complex with some drinks, lawn chairs, and a fire pit. Carmen and Johnny were out on a double date with Amanda and Daniel at their favorite Mexican restaurant leaving. Selina was now on her fourth beer and she was feeling rather feisty. Her feelings were mostly aimed at Miguel. The two got into it earlier that day at practice. The group of friends were off inter own conversations as Selina's gaze stuck on Miguel. He would glance in her direction across from him
"Selina?" Sam called out to her but no answer. She was still stuck in her own world. "Selina?" this time Sam's words got through. "What?" Selina snapped. Sam and the others were taken aback for a moment. "Just asking if you're okay, you're kinda off in space over there." Sam cautioned. "I'm fine." Selina stated. Robby and Sam shared a glance. Confusion filled their faces. "You sure you're okay?" Robby asked his sister. "I said I'm fine." Selina repeated glancing over at her brother.
"Robby leave her alone she's just being a brat about earlier." Miguel's words made Selina return her attention to him. He was leaned back in his lawn chair with a beer in his hand with a shit eating grin on his face. Selina though wasn't stooping to his level. Truly she was just aggravated and she didn't know why. The argument they got into earlier that day wasn't the worst one they've had. So why was she so aggravated? Beats her. "Miguel how about you fuck off." Selina cursed. "See Selina this is why no one wants you around cause you act like this-" Miguel's words were interrupted by Demetri. "Thats not-"
"Fine no one wants me around I'll just fucking leave." Selina got up from her lawn chair and grabbed her beer from off the ground next to her. "Selina." Tory called out. "Selina come back that's not what-" Hawk gave up trying to get her attention as she was already up the old stairs of the complex.
The group sat in silence for a minute. It might've been silent all around him but it wasn't in his head as his thoughts ran wild. Every single one that entered his brain circled back to her.
"Fuck." Miguel sighed as he pushed himself up from the plastic lawn chair. "Miguel I can-" Robby sat up from his chair but was interrupted by Miguel. "Robby it's fine I'm probably gonna go home now anyways. I'll check on her, make sure she's not passed out on the floor or something." Miguel told. "Has that happened before?" Demitri asked taking a sip of his dr. pepper.
"Selina will pass out anywhere if she's drunk enough." Tory informed. "You sure?" Robby turned his attention away from his friends back to Miguel. "She might try to bite your head off dude." Hawk snickered. "Robby it's fine, no big deal." Miguel told him one last time before turning back around heading to the old metal stairs. Robby watched Miguel as he walked off. His thoughts that some would say, including himself, downright delusional entered his mind once again. He tried to brush them off as he took a sip of his beer and turned his attention back to Tory and his friends.
XXXX
Miguel opened the front door to the Lawrence/Keene residence "Selina are you-" Miguel's words were cut off when he saw Selina sitting on the kitchen counter, beer in hand to go with the other two next tot her. "What are you doing?" Selina slurred. "What are you doing? You need to stop drinking." Miguel shook his head as he walked over to her. He took the beer from her grasp and walked over pouring the rest down the sink.
"Wha-" Selina went to protest but was cut off when she fell Miguels arm wrap around her waist. "Come on, let's get you to your room." Miguel guided her off the counter and made she she was okay when her feet hit the ground. As they did Selina lost her balance, Miguel quickly wrapped his arm around her waist once again. "Aww you care. What happened to not wanting to be around me?" Selina smiled as Miguel helped her down the hall and to her room.
"Wouldn't say that exactly." Miguel protested as he closed the door behind them. "Oh please Miguel, come on. You know you at least like me." Selina leaned on her bed frame for balance as she turned to face Miguel. "You hate someone and see them naked dozens of times." Selina giggled. "Has it been dozens?" Miguel faked pondered. "You're deflecting."
"And you're drunk, come on let's get you to bed." Miguel went over to her closet and grabbed an AC/DC tee shirt of the hanger. "This just proves that I'm overall stronger than you." Selina's words made him chuckle. "What? How does this have anything to do with karate or strength?"
"Who said I was talking about physical? At least I can bring up this unspoken thing." Miguel's movements stopped for a quick second. He could feel his heart start to beat faster. He composed himself before turning back to her. "What unspoken thing?"
"Really?" Selina lifted an eyebrow. He couldn't be serious she thought to herself. "Yeah really." Miguel added. "Well how about we start with the fact that you can't even fathom or accept the fact that another person may be interested in me. When they are you have to go in and ruin it then do nothing about it." Selina walked over to Miguel near her closet. "Pretty sure I did something about it." Miguel chuckled as he grabbed the ends of her sweatshirt. "Arms up." He instructed. Selina complied as she continued.
"And you make me call you "yours" while doing so. You know you're just jealous. You won't ever admit it and you also gave me this necklace. Which is fucking gorgeous by the way." Miguel smiled spotting the necklace as he finally lifted the sweatshirt off her head. "I'm glad you like it."
Miguel brought his fingers to her dark hair flattening it out after being ruined by her sweatshirt. His gaze drifts down to Selina's who's been stuck on him the whole time. His right hand slid down to the smooth skin of her cheek. Keeping it there as Selina's gazed glanced down to his lips. It stayed there for a second before she leaned in. The kiss was soft and light but Miguel quickly realized the situation.
"Selina you're drunk I don't want to-" Miguel pulled back. "Miguel I just want you to kiss me." her words made the whole atmosphere change. It was still familiar to them. It was the feeling they both had when they were in bed one time. It was slow and sensual. They were playing with fire and neither of them cared. Miguel glanced down at her lips wishing he could kiss them again.
She was giving him an opening. Selina interlaced her fingers with his and brought him over to her bed. He sat on the edge of the purple sheets as she made her way onto his lap. Selina was the one now to cup his cheek and that in itself made Miguel fall under her spell. Looking into her icy blues before she leaned in again. The kiss was different, it wasn't straight sex. It was full of the uncharted territory they refused to acknowledge fully mixed with need. Not the full sexual need but the need to jut have each other.
Selina pulled away for a second resting her forehead on his. "God I hate this, I hate you." Selina pounded on his chest. Miguel brings his hand back up to her bringing her in again. He was equally if not more confused as she was. Half the adjectives he would use to describe Selina would be synonyms for hatred. The other half would be for need and the new ones would be for want. That in itself scared and confused him. Miguels thoughts were cut off when he felt Selina's hips move.
"Okay it's time to get you to bed." Miguel pulled away as he put her on the bed next to him. "Ugh." Selina groaned as she went to go into the covers but was stopped. "Wait, wait." Miguel brought her back to the edge of the bed. Reaching around her for the clasps of her bra.
He pulled her staps down and tossed the undergarment in her laundry basket. Grabbing the old tee on the side of the bed Miguel slid it over her torso. He knelt down and unbuttoned her dark blue skinny jeans. Pealing them off leaving her in her tee and underwear her jeans met her bra and sweatshirt in the laundry basket.
"Okay now you can lay down." Miguel instructed. Selina did as told chuckling as her head hit the pillow. "What?" Miguel asked as he grabbed the small trash can near her desk brining it to the edge of her bed. "I put your trash can next to your bed if you get sick." Miguel informed her as he grabbed her comforter draping it over her. "Thank you." Selina whispered looking at the boy in front of her she truly realized how much he cares even if he wouldn't admit it. "Get some sleep Selina, good night."
Short chapter but there are some long ones coming soon!
Thursday, December 25th
The group resided at Moons as everyone talked amongst themselves as Christmas music played in the background. "Did everyone open their secret Santa's?" Moon asked her friends. Selina never found out who her secret Santa was. She came to terms that her name might've been forgotten and she was honestly okay with that. Selina always loved Christmas, the feeling of Christmas, having her friends, her family.
She didn't need gifts to make it special so she just stayed quiet. "What's up chicken butt?" Sam asked as she sat on the couch next to Tory and across from Selina. "Nothing much, we were talking about possibly doing a trip next summer after school is over." Selina told. "What kind of trip?" Sam asked. "Well we don't know yet, we were planning on maybe doing somewhere close." Selina started.
"Yeah I just need to see how my mom is by then. She's been doing a lot better and hopefully maybe by then I can leave her and Brandon for a week and not have to worry." Tory explained. "Plus it would be more cost friendly if we just stayed close." Selina added
"Or we could use my parents cabin, they use it to go on their trip every summer. But this summer my dad said he doesn't know if he'll be able to go with the dealerships big ten year sale. So it's up for grabs plus it's about two hours away and free." Sam explained her idea which honestly didn't sound bad to the two.
"That actually sounds really fun." Selina took a sip of her hot chocolate. "We can get the guys and we can just have a nice summer outing before everyone going to college-"
Selina's attention was drawn away from Sam as she looked behind Tory at Miguel. His Santa hat still on drinking the hot chocolate Moon just put out on the little snack table she prepared. His eyes giving her that look she didn't even have to second guess anymore. She knew exactly what he wanted and her thighs squeezing together told them both she wanted it too.
Miguel watched her cross her legs as she continued to try to listen to Tory and Sam. The smirk he tried to hide behind his cup was there and she knew it. "What about you?" Selina looked down at the warm hot chocolate in her cup trying to think of an excuse to step away. "Selina? Selina?" Tory's voice took her away from her own thoughts. "What?" Selina Asked confused on what they were talking about. "Would you want to do somemthing like that instead." Tory informed her.
"Are you okay?" Sam asked. Selina glanced behind Tory again seeing Miguel continue to have whatever conversation he was having with Demitri and Robby. She knew he was listening still. "I uh- I need to make a phone." Selina put her cup on the coffee table next to her. "Phone call?" Tory asked. "Yeah I need to call my dad about something for tonight. I forgot to tell him earlier." Selina got up from her spot glancing over to Miguel one more time. "I'll be right back." Selina took her phone out of the back of her jean pocket and pulled up Miguel's contact sending a quick message.Β
"When I was younger my mom use to make me sit on Santa's lap at the mall. This one time I threw up all over-" Miguel watched Selina defend off into the hall on her phone. That's when he felt the buzz of a text vibration go off in his pocket. "Hey I um I'm gonna use the bathroom. I'll be right back." Miguel interrupted Demitri's story as he drank the rest of the hot chocolate in his cup and set it on the table next to them.
"Okay.." Robby trailed off as he turned his head to watch Miguel go towards the hallway. Miguel pulled out his phone and read Selina's message that popped up on his screen telling him to go to the destination he figured she was heading.
XXXX
"That would actually be really fun." Demetri told the group. "Nothing's set in stone it's literally an idea that we came up with today." Sam told the group as they all sat in the living room. "Still sounds like a nice way to kick off summer. Anyways who wants to put on a Christmas movie?" Moon asked the group as she grabbed the remote control from the coffee table in front of her.Β
"Yeah babe but also has anyone seen Miguel?" Hawk asked the group. He hasn't really talked to him today and every time he would look for him he was no where to be found. "Or Selina?" Moon added. "I think he said he was gonna use the bathroom." Demitri Informed the group as he plopped down on the couch next to Hawk. "Selina said she had to call her dad." Tory added. "Why?" Robby asked confused. Tory looked at her boyfriend next to her and shrugged her shoulder. "I don't know."Β
"Fuck." Miguel quietly groaned as he continued to thrust into Selina as he held her up against the bathroom wall. They tried on the bathroom sink but due to their height difference it wasn't working out in their favor. "Miguel." Selina whined. "Shh you gotta be quiet for me baby or everyone will hear you." Miguel softly hushed her as he continued not caring about the pet names anymore.
If anything it egged Selina on. "I don't care about everyone else." Selina let out another moan as she felt Miguel go harder. His teeth grazing the skin of her neck as he left kisses traveling up to her jaw. Finally meeting her lips againΒ "Miguel I'm gonna-" Selina moaned in between kisses. "I know." Miguel smirked pulling away so he could watch her as she unfolded. Her eyes starting to water as a wave a pleasure hit her. Miguel joining her shortly after as he wiped her tears away with his thumb.

The four finally made it to their apartments for the night. Tory was staying over for the first time as Robby's guest instead of Selina's. Johnny came to terms that his kids were growing up and as long as he didn't become a grandfather at any point soon he could trust Robby and Tory.
Selina was about to head inside but was quickly stopped when she felt a hand wrap around her wrist. "Selina wait." Selina looked over at Miguel then back into her apartment at her brother and Tory talking to her father. Selina shut her apartment door so she didn't let any cool air in.
"What's up?" Selina asked. She looked up at Miguel a little confused. It looked like he was almost nervous. Miguel unzipped the pocket on his coat and pulled out a small box wrapped in red and white wrapping paper. Selina looked down at the box and back up at Miguel "Merry Christmas Selina." Miguel whispered.
"Oh I um - I'm sorry I didn't get you anything." Selina sighed as Miguel handed her the wrapped box. "You weren't suppose to. Whole point of it being a secret Santa. I'll see you tomorrow." Miguel smiled as he went to turn back towards his door. "See you tomorrow, good night. Merry Christmas Miguel." Selina said softly. "Good night. Merry Christmas Selina." Miguel whispered as he watched her open her apartment door.
βHow was the party?β Johnny asked his son as he grabbed another Coors from the fridge. βIt was good, it was good. Hey I did um did Selina call you earlier?β Robby asked his father as he went to sit on the couch in the living room. βNo, was she suppose to?β Johnny asked as he walked over to meet Robby on the couch. βNope.β Robby shook his head as his girlfriend came out of the bathroom and met them on the couch. Robby watched as they flipped through every Christmas movie debating on what to watch. However, in Robbyβs mind he wasnβt focusing on Christmas movies. His thoughts were on his sister and why she lied. He was starting to think his crazy idea he had in the back of his head wasnβt the craziest anymore.

It was late when Selina finally got to her room. She sat on her bed in her comfy sweats and a tee as she looked at the box in front of her. She sighed as her fingers worked the wrapping paper. Discarding the paper in her trash can Selina opened the little box in front of her. "Oh my god." Selina whispered as she looked down at the silver necklace in front of her. "Selina" It read. The necklace quality itself looked like it costed a pretty penny and all Selina could think about was why did Miguel get her something so beautiful.
"Fuck." Selina cursed. It was back but this time if wasn't staying down. Selina grabbed her small trash can next to her where she threw her wrapping paper. Holding it close as she let out everything she ate for the day.
"Scar come on you need a night out, besides Violet is getting us in for free come on." Tara begged as she followed her sister from the kitchen to the living room. "Tara I can't go to a club." Scar told her sister once again. Tara has been trying to get Scar to go out for the past half an hour. Trying to convince her that she needs some time out of the house and some time to be a teenager again.Β
"Why not?" Chad asked. "Not you too. I have Lila, what if she needs me." Scar gestured towards her daughter in Sam's arms next to Danny on the couch. "Then the three of us will be here to take care of it." Mindy assured her. "You're not going?" Chad asked his sister. "After last year I'm done partying."Β
"See." Scar gestured over to Mindy this time. "Doesn't mean you are." Mindy told Scar. Scar looked at Mindy betrayed. "Scar go have fun. We'll be fine here. You deserve it." Sam tried to reassure her sister. Scar sighed and looked over at Tara. "Please I miss hanging out with my sister."Β
"I live with you." Scar told. "Not the same." Tara shook her head. She had to admit it felt nice to have Tara want to do things that they use to do together again. Her relationship was still getting better with Tara but it wasn't where Scar wanted it yet and maybe this was her opportunity.
Scar sighed. "Ugh fine, fine. Okay just give me half an hour." Scar groans as she started to walk over to her room. "You're gonna love it." Chad told her as he started to get hyped.
Scar didn't look back at Chad instead she extended her arm behind her and flipped him off before closing her door. Scar walked over started to look through her closet. She had to have something she could wear that's when her phone dinged. Grabbing out of her sweatpants pocket she read Ethan's contact pop up on her screen.
Ethan:
Am I still good to come see Lila?
βShit.β Scar forgot about Ethan. He was suppose to come over to the apartment for a little bit to spend time with Lila
Scar:
Not tonight plans changed.
Ethan:Β
Is everything okay?
Scar:Β
Yeah I'm going out. Can we reschedule?
Ethan:Β
Yeah can I swing by in the morning?
Ethan:
Wait you're going out?
Scar:Β
Yeah?Β
Ethanβs styling bubbles started to form for a second before going away. The reappeared for another ten seconds before disappearing completely.
Scar:Β
Come over tomorrow at eleven
Scar rolled her eyes at the read symbol near hear message and threw her phone back on her bed as she continued to look in her closet. She finally decided on a navy spaghetti strap dress she hasn't worn since before she had Lila.
She was just praying it would fit. She had a relatively small bump and her swelling went down pretty quickly. However even though she looked good on the outside and no matter how many compliments she got on her body by her friends or her family. Mentally she felt like she was dealing with postpartum the most.Β

The club was loud and crowded and full of underage drinkers from Blackmore. They were surprised the club was open as long as it has been. Considering their are theft, murders, and masked serial killers running around New York underage drinking was the least of the NYPD's problems.
"Violet should be at the bar!" Tara yelled over the music at the two as they made their way through the cross of people. Scar looked around wondering if she made the right decision of coming out. Right now she could be in bed with her daughter enjoying time with her but here she is at a loud crowded club. They make their way over to see the blonde behind the bar making drinks with.
Scar met Violet last year in her film studies class but never really talked to her. That was till Tara started going out again six months ago and met Violet. They would start hanging out outside of the club then she would be around the apartment. Scar and Violet's friendship grew quickly. She couldn't believe how they could have known each other but not be friends.
They wished they actually hung out months prior but Scar knew she also had other things going on. Β Easton on the other hand was more of the quiet type at first. Not as outgoing as his girlfriend. The more he was around the group though he opened up.Β
The three walked up to the bar to see Violet, Easton and Jackson. "Look at you! You finally came out, rejoined the world of civilization." Violet grabbed a clean glass from behind the counter and started to grab different liquors. "I think you forget I have a baby to take care of."Β
"My point exactly." Violet put the glass on the counter it was a light orange. "Here this ones on me to celebrate." Violet smiled. "What's in it?" Scar looked into the glass in her hand. "Oh honey it's better not to ask." Jackson told her.Β
The group met Jackson a few months ago through Violet. They both helped the group throw a baby shower for Scar. It was small and it was just their group but it was the best Scar could ask for.
Ever since then Jackson has been around he grew particularly close with Tara after they shared their interest in elevation horror when Mindy was on one of her classic rants during movie night. Then when Jackson went through his break up with his ex boyfriend Grayson Tara was there for him.Β
Scar looked down at the drink before brining it to her lips taking a sip. Her eyes instantly squeezed shut as her face scrunched up. It was strong, maybe even too strong. "Jesus Christ Violet." Scar put the cup on the bar top. "What? It's your first night out. Plus you haven't had anything in what? A Year? Who wants one?" Violet asked. Tara raised her hand. "Can I have half juice please." Chad asked. Violet rolled her eyes and smiled.
XXXX
"Hey there stranger." A familiar voice came from behind Scar. The owner of the voice made his way around her. The familiar voice had a familiar face. "Oh my god Asher what are you doing here?" Scar asked. "Yeah dude you're a teacher." Violet added as she finished making a drink order.
"I think you guys forget I'm your guy's age. Well I can legally be here technically." Asher took a sip from his drink. "So you aren't our age." Scar smirked. "Only by a few years." Asher chuckled. "So how are you? How's the little one?" Asher asked sitting on the bar stool next to Scar. "She's great, my first night out actually away from her." Scar informed."It's hard I bet."Β
"Yeah getting dressed up and going out clubbing almost four months postpartum wasn't on my bingo card tonight." Scar took a sip of her drink. "Well you look great." Scar gulped the burning liquid as she could feel herself about to start blushing by the compliment. The compliment that caught the attention of Violet and Tara as they both shared a glance.
"Thank you." Scar smiled. "So I see you're not in my film studies class this year." Asher put his drink down on the bar top."Yeah had to pick and choose this year. You almost made the cut." Scar joked. "Ah I was so close."Β
"Do I have any of you this year?" Asher turned his attention to the rest of the group. Violet raises her hand. "Violet I don't think I have you do I?" Asher asked. "You could." Violet smirked. "Girl you will never stop being a whore will you?" Jackson turned to his friend. Violet shrugged her shoulders. "And this doesn't bother you?" Jackson asked Easton on the other side of him. Easton shrugged his shoulder "Open relationship honey." Violet told.
"You got your hands full." Asher gestured over to Violet. "Yeah but I think I'll keep her." Scar brought her attention off of Violet back over to Asher. His eyes scan her as a smile creeps up onto his face. "You want another drink?"Β
"Sure I need to finish this one first." Scar took another sip of her third drink as Asher got up off his stool to head over to Violet to order. Scar went to get up off her stool when she fell somebody on her right. "Oh I'm sorry." Scar apologized to the blonde stranger she bumped into. "Oh no I'm sorry I should look out for pretty girl." The man smiled as he held Scar's arm to keep her from falling.
The comment grasped the attention from the group. Scar looked up at him with a small smile. "I'm Tyler." Tyler held out his hand. "Scarlett." Scar shook Tyler's hand. "Thats a really pretty name. Well, Scarlett can I buy you a drink to make up?"Β
Scar looked behind him at Asher who was going to buy her a drink. He gave her a smile and a nod letting her know that it was okay. Scar brought her attention back to Tyler. She lifted her drink gesturing the half filled cup.
"What about a dance?" Tyler asked shooting her a smile. Scar looked behind him at her friends all of them quietly telling her to go for it besides Asher who took a swig of his drink. Then there was Violet. Her right hand in a fist moving back and forth near her face as her tongue poked the inside of her cheek.
Her eyebrows raising as she continued to give her the blowjob motion. Jackson looked over at Violet ands shook his head at his friend. Β "Yeah sure." Scar placed her drink down on the counter top. "After you." Tyler gestured towards the dance floor. Scar looked at Chad shooting her a smirk as he took a sip of his drink.Β

After a few songs and the alcohol finally hitting her. Scar moved her body to the rhythm as she danced with Tyler behind her. Her hand traveled behind her to wrap around the back of the man's neck. His arm wrapping around the front of her waist. The music, the alcohol, the mystery of the night.
She missed this the feeling of anything happening. The feeling of being out with her friends with no responsibilities. She was enjoying herself and she deserved it.Β
Ethan pushed himself through the groups of people his eyes scanning the crowds till he saw Tara at the bar talking to some people. He recognized Jackson next to her who he has met a few times when he would come by the apartment. He didn't have a problem with him but he didn't like him exactly either.
Then there was the blonde girl tending the bar and the brunette at on the other side of Tara. He was curious if Chad was around if Tara was. His eyes continued to scan the crowd till a raven haired girl caught his attention. When he saw her his heart rate sped up a little bit. The weird excitement turned into predatory anger when he saw it.
Ethan's eyes watched as the tall blondes eyes drifted over past Scar to a group of guys near the bar. They were the assholes friends, snickering and gesturing squeezing gestures back at him. Ethan's attention was brought back to the blonde dancing behind Scar. Watching his hands travel from her hips up towards her chest.
Anger ran through Ethan's veins as he started to make his way over to the two. Snatching the mans wrist off Scar's body the two's attention was Brough over to Ethan. "Look you have about two seconds to get your hands off of her before a snap them and you in half." Ethan hissed at the guy.
"Ethan?" Scar slurred looking up at the curly haired brunette. Where did he come from? Why was he here? "She was into it dude. So if I was you I'd get the fuck out of here." Tyler shoved Ethan back with his other hand snatching his hand out of Ethan's grip. Ethan chuckled as his fists started balling. Scar watched them form by his side as his eyes grew darker.
Tyler was prepped for a bar fight but Scar knew the man wasn't prepped for the type of person Ethan was. The downright murderous tendencies he has and she knew he could be ruthless. She had to deescalate the situation. "Ethan come on." Scar grabbed his arm trying to get his attention off Tyler.
XXXX
"Who's that?" Violet asked pointing behind Tara. Tara, Easton, and Jackson turned around to see Scar and Ethan across the room. "That is Ethan." Tara told as she rolled her eyes and put her drink down. Why was he here? It was the million dollar question everyone was asking including Ethan himself. "Also known as Scar's baby daddy." Jackson added. "Shit I recognize him from fit studies.Damn that's him?" Violet was taken back. "So like what's wrong with him?" Easton asked taking another sip of his drink.
"When you're that hot it doesn't matter." Violet chuckled earning a look from her boyfriend. "Look at him. Summer was good to him or something cause wow." Violet gestured over to Ethan. "They just aren't together anymore." Tara didn't lie completely but it was better than telling them that the father of her sister's child is a serial killer. "Does he know that?" Easton asked nodding back over at Ethan.Β
XXXX
"What do you mean?" Scar asked but before Ethan could answer Chad and Asher made their way over. "Whats going on here?" Asher asked looking over at Scar seeing if she was okay. Looking for any sign of distress. "Of course you're here." Ethan scoffed.
Ethan had an issue with Asher the second he saw him but his issues really evolved after he saw him hitting on Scar in his classroom. He didn't know why it bothered him considering Scar wasn't suppose to be anything to him. He knew that was a lie though. Just like how he knows that Asher isn't her teacher anymore and he tried when he was. He didn't want to imagine what he would try now that he's not.
"Yeah but why are you?" Chad asked crossing his arms over his chest. "Am I not allowed to be?" Ethan asked his voice laced with sarcasm. "Ethan just go home." Scar sighed. Ethan looked down at her shaking her head. "Dude come on." Chad stepped forward putting his hand on Ethan's shoulder. "Get your hands off me or you're gonna have some more scars to match the ones near your ribs." Ethan hissed.
His threat low enough for only Chad to hear. "The fuck did you just say to me?" Chad yelled as he stepped closer to Ethan. "What's going on here exactly?" Asher asked confused. "Mind your fucking business." Ethan cursed. "Outside now!" Scar yelled at the two as she started to walk away. Asher following her but watching the two guys as Ethan shot Chad a glare as he followed Scar.
"Fuck." Tara cursed as she got off the bar stool. "Drama with the baby daddy." Jackson threw back the rest of his drink as he followed his friends behind Scar.
XXXX
"Okay but seriously the fuck was that?" Scar yelled as she turned around. They made it to the alley way in the back of the club. The five right behind them. "That guy was gonna take advantage of you!" Ethan argued. "So fucking what?! I had Chad and Asher there!" Scar gestured over to Chad and Asher standing with the group.
"Yeah don't remind me." Ethan rolled his eyes. "Where the fuck did you even come from? Huh? How did you know where I was?" Scar crossed her arms over her chest. "It's Saturday night and everyone at Blackmore comes here. Didn't take much to connect the dots."Β
"Well congrats you connected the dots like a fucking kindergartner. So why are you here Ethan?" Scar asked once again still waiting for an answer. Nothing. Ethan kept his eyes on hers but his mouth remained shut. "See you don't even have a fucking reason!" Scar shook her head.
"Scar you're drunk-" Ethan stepped a little bit closer to her but was cut off. "So? I was having fun!" Scar yelled. Ethan just took a deep breath and shook his head. It might've been the unpredictable hormones still running through her veins or the alcohol but Scar was getting tired of this. Of him, of this back and forth and no answers. "You know what Ethan, Fuck you!"Β
"Fuck me Scarlett? Really?" Ethan asked his voice raising ago match her volume. "Guys." Tara voice rang behind them as she stood with her friends and boyfriend bu her sister didn't listen. "Yeah fuck you I'm allowed to have fun. You know when the last time I had fun was? Fuckin-"Β
"Nine months before Lila was born." Ethan said under his breath. Scar stopped in her tracks and just looked at him for a second. The anger running through her turned into plain old fury. She could feel her right hand forming a fist. Before she knew it her fist connected with the side of Ethan's face.
"Oh Shit." Violet exclaimed as the group stood there with wide eyes. Surprised at Scar's outburst but also the fact she could reach him. Ethan looked back at her as he could feel the metallic wet substance form on his busted lip. Her chest heaving as she looked up at him, her eyes showing no regret.
"Damn how did he get hotter." Violet's words made the five look at her. "What?" Violet asked. "Okay Scar it's time to get you home." Chad told as he walked over to Scar. Scar's glare stayed on Ethan till she returned back to her friends. "Are you okay?" Asher asked. "Yeah I'm fine." Asher glanced up to Ethan still watching her, his glare connected with Asher.Β

Mindy, Sam and Danny sat on the couches as Lila rested in Sam's arms. The front door opened to the six entering the apartment. "How was the night out?" Mindy asked as she took a sip of her beer. "Bull shit." Scar sighed as she walked over to Sam who held Lila out for Scar. "Yeah Scar's super hot baby daddy was there." Violet told the three as she walked over and sat on the loveseat with Easton.
Mindy and Sam's faces both changed as they were filled with confusion. "Ethan was there?" Sam asked. "Mhm." Scar hummed. "Sure was." Chad chimed in. "Did something happen?" Sam asked feeling like she was missing a piece of the puzzle here. "Not really, he's going to have a busted lip for a week though." Tara chuckled as she walked over to her sister on the couch. "You punched him?" Mindy asked her brother as she let out a chuckle. "I didn't." Chad gestures over to Scar.
"You punched him?" Mindy asked surprised. Scar nodded as she rocked Lila. "Even better." Mindy laughed. Everyone's attention was drawn away when they heard a flush from the bathroom and water from the sink running. "Is someone here?" Tara asked. "Oh yeah Tatum, she said you guys had plans." Sam told.
"Oh yeah shit." Tara forgot. Tara and Mindy met Tatum at a end of the year party after the school year was over. Mindy and her bonded over the fact that they were out of their element and Tara and her bonded over their mommy issues and scholastic similarities. No one really had a problem with Tatum, she was sweet and she was a great blend into the group. Mindy however couldn't read her. She told Tara she had to be at least bi but tara insisted she was straight.Β
"Hey..." Tara trailed off as Tatum came out of the bathroom. "Hey." Tatum greeted her and everyone. "I'm sorry I forgot to tell you I was going out." Tara apologized. "From what it sounds like you went to a fight club." Tatum looks over at Scar. "You should've been there." Violet added. "We can still watch the movie if you want." Tara offered. "Nah we can watch it another night." Tatum walks over to the couch and takes a sip of her beer on the coffee table.
"Well we're gonna go." Jackson told the group. "Yeah don't forget we have orientation on Tuesday." Easton added as he tapped Violet on the hip letting her know to get up. "Good night guys." Chad told the group they all exchanged goodnights before the three made their way out. "So how was she?" Scar asked her sister. "Like how she always is. Quiet." Sam informed her. "Hi!" Tatum smiled as she looked over at Lila. "Can I steal her?" Tatum asked. "Yeah." Scar handed her over to Tatum and took a seat next to her.

"So Scar?" Danny started as sat on his side of Sam's bed. "Mhm?" Sam hummed as she grabbed her clothes from her dresser. "She punched Ethan?" Danny asked. "Sounds like it." Sam confirmed. "You never told me what happened. You know with him."Β
"Nothing they just broke up." Sam finished putting on her sweatshirt. "Baby you can't tell me you all hate him from just them breaking up. What actually happened." Danny asked not believing the just breaking up excuse he's been hearing for months. Sam looked at him and sighed as she went to sit on the bed. Danny could see she was conflicted. "What is it?"Β
"It's really Scar's decision to tell you." Sam told him. "You know I'm not going to hound her about that." Sam bit the inside of her cheek at a cross roads here. "Baby you know I'm not going to tell anybody. Why is this eating you up?"Β
"There was a lot of things that happened in the theater that night." Sam started. "Mhm." Danny hummed. "One of which being that Ethan had a knife to Scarlett's neck." Sam watched Danny's expression change. "Wait. What?" Danny asked confused at what he was hearing. "He was..." Danny trailed off as he connected the dots. Sam nodded to confirm. "Why is he still..."Β
"He killed Quinn and his dad." Sam answered. "So Ethan was Quinn's brother?" Danny asked. "Yeah." Sam nodded. "Fuck." Danny sat back taking in all the information he was receiving.

"Good night dude." Tyler wished his a goodnight as they made his separate way from the rest of his friends towards his apartment. He reached in his pocket and pulled out his AirPods. Sticking them in his ears before taking his phone out and clicking the play button on his home screen. Sliding his phone back in his pocket as he walked down the dark city streets. He was only two blocks away from his apartment. When he turned onto his street he was almost to his stoop when suddenly strong hands pulled him within the ally way. Before he could fight back his movements were slowed when he felt a brick hit the side of his head.Β
His eyes fluttered back open after closing for a moment to see a white mask he has seen in many famous movies and new articles right before him. Before he could comprehend what was happening he felt a strong pain in his abdomen. He looked down to see the blade of Ghostface's knife turning in his stomach. Letting out a gut wrenching Β scream and ghostface continued to turn the knife in circles. "Fuck! Help! Help!" Β
The knife was torn from Tylers abdomen again before quickly penetrated four more times. "No one's coming to help you." Ghostface's classic low voice spoke before ripping th knife once again. In one quick motion Ghost face dragged the knife across the skin of Tylers throat slitting it with ease. His body fell to the dirty poorly lit New York alley way as ghostface stood over Tyler's bleeding out body.
"So I'm hosting a Christmas party this year." Moon told the group as she sat down at the lunch table between Demetri and Sam. "Who's going?" Sam smiled. "You guys." Moon told. "Thats it?" Demetri asked. Moon nodded in response. "Well yeah after last time I figured that I want to keep it lowkey. Besides you guys are the only ones I really want there anyways." She explained. "Aw Moon that's sweet." Selina smiled before taking a bite of her garden salad.
"Anyways I was thinking why don't we do a secret Santa this year? Like after school or something we could pick names out of a hat or something." Moon's excitement pretty much told the group that this wasn't just an idea and they had to do it at this point. "Secret Santa?" Robby asked."Yeah why not?"
"It sounds fun." Sam smiled. "Sure why not." Miguel shrugged. "Awesome and sorry Tory and Robby couples can't get themselves. Lets keep things creative. So babe if you pick me you have to repick." Moon explained. "Okay..." Hawk trailed off.
"It'll be fun, it'll be like a chance to try to get each other a little bit more." Moon smiled. "Moon I think we know each other pretty well." Selina's words caused Miguel to let out a small chuckle. "Is that funny?" Selina asked confused. "No, just good luck to anyone that gets you." Miguel smirked.
"Whatever, I wouldn't whine or complain about anything anyone gets me. Christmas isn't about gifts anyways." Selina told. "Certainly know how much you like to whine when you don't get what you want." Miguel's words confused the people around him for a second but their attention was shifted once again when Selina spoke. "Please when have I whined once?" Selina asked.
"I can think of a few times." Miguel's words were only for her to understand but all Selina could do is roll her eyes. "Really? When? Cause honestly I might be the easiest person here to please."
"Maybe we should ask Theo." Miguel's words left his mouth quicker than he meant for them to. He knew he messed up by the silence of the group and the look on Selina's face. It was the look of shock and the rosiness on her cheeks explained that. Selina grabbed her stuff from between her and Tory and started to stand up. She looked over at Miguel "Fuck you." she muttered.
"Selina come on." Hawk called out as Selina started to walk away. "Really dude?" Robby sighed shaking his head. "Look I get you guys don't like each other but I think that might've been a little too far Miguel." Moon asked. "She finally goes out with someone and you have to brand her easy. Dumbass." Tory grabbed her stuff and got up to go find her friend. Miguel just stayed silent. He knew his comment was uncalled for especially considering she never even went home with Theo that night. She went home with him.

Selina grabbed her raven hair and the hair tie off her wrist and started to put her hair up. She stopped when she looked over at her brother looking at her confused. "What?" She asked. Robby confusion stemmed from the two purple marks on her neck. One near her ear and one on the lower part of her neck. They were both hidden by makeup but smudged enough to be noticeable. He was more concerned with how she got the hickies in the first place.
"Is that-is that a hickey?" Robby asked pointing at the side of Selina's neck. "What? No. Where?" Selina's eyes widened. How could he notice it. She put a shit ton of makeup on it this morning. "On your neck, near your ear." Robby told. "No. I got a bug bite yesterday that I scratched too hard." Selina lied. "It's December." Robby furrowed his eyebrows. "So? We live in California."
"And you put makeup on it?" Robby added. "Yep cause then there's nosey people like you jumping to conclusions." Selina walked away from her brother and headed towards her back under a tree with everyone else's stuff. "Hmm." Robby hummed as he watched his sister walk away.
"Damn it Miguel." Selina muttered under her breath as she put her hair back down. Suddenly an off feeling hit Selina. It wasn't nausea at first. Just the feeling of being off until it was. Selina swallowed hard as she put her hand on the tree next to her for balance.
She could feel her lunch travel up but never come out completely. Selina took another deep breath as the sick feeling slowly started to go away. "You okay?" Selina looked over to see Miguel standing next to her.
"Huh, like you care." Selina stood back up and grabbed her water from her bag. "What just cause I- You know what forget it." Miguel shook his head as he started to walk off. "Spit it out Diaz. You've had no problems speaking your opinions about me today anyways. Why should now be different?" Selina tossed her water bottle back near her bag.
Miguel sighed and turned back around to her. "I knew you couldn't wait to throw that in my face." Miguel chuckled as he walked back to her. "You say that like I'm the one in the wrong here."
"Well Selina maybe if you shut up for a second in your life you could hear what I was going to say and not always assume." Miguel snapped. "Sorry I guess I'm just so use to bullshit spewing from your mouth anytime it opens."
"Jesus Johnny when are the two of them ever going to get on the same page? Even fighting doesn't work for them." Daniel asked as him, Johnny, and Chozen watched Selina and Miguel from across the dojo. "It worked for Robby and Miguel." Johnny didn't know honestly what it would take for Selina and Miguel to get along. It's been years and they just can never see eye to eye "Guess fighting doesn't hash things out between Miguel and every Lawrence." Daniel added.
"Hell if I know what will." Johnny sighed. "They need to be on same page for tournament." Chozen added. "Yeah I know." Johnny watched as his daughter and Miguel continued to argue.
"You know what Miguel just shut up, do us all a favor and shut up." Selina huffed. "Hey Miguel, why don't we try that new move Sensei was showing us yesterday." Hawk interrupted the two. Hawk knew the only way to get Miguel away from Selina and their fighting was to actually start fighting. Miguel looked over at Selina before agreeing and headed over with Hawk to practice.
"You know you guys are gonna have to put your differences aside when we go right?" Johnny asked as he walked over to his daughter. "Selina I'm serious. I hate it but Larusso's right, we aren't going to get anywhere if you guys go in at each others throats. So keep fighting it out, talk do whatever you two need to do but figure it out." Johnny explained. "I know." Selina sighed. "Go spar with Nichols." Johnny instructed

After another thirty minutes Miguel took a break from his sparing session with hawk. They needed a second to catch their breath and grab some water. Heading over to his bag, Miguel watched Selina and Tory in passing. Selina was trying to teach Tory the same move she used last time she struck a point on Miguel. Miguel bit the inside of his cheek as he continued on.
Grabbing his water and phone out of his bag Miguel tapped on his home Screen. He opened up his messages and went to his last conversation with Selina. Looking back at the previous ones from three nights ago when they were in bed.
They couldn't see each other due to everyone being home but that didn't stop them from letting each other know how much they needed each other. Miguel drew his eyes away from the messages and when to type a new one.
Miguel:
Stay behind tonight we're not done.
XXXX
When practice ended Miguel watched as Selina made her way to her bag. Grabbing her phone out of the front pocket along with her water. Taking a few sips as Sam was talking to her about a new book she was reading. Selina turned her home screen on to be greeted with a message from Miguel popping up on her screen.
Her eyes scanned the words then looked up to scan the dojo. She saw him leaning against the tatami talking to Robby and Eli. His eyes caught hers before looking down at her phone and back up at his.

It was ten o'clock and evening finally was picked up or drove home. In the lot besides all of Mr. Miyagi's old cars were Selina's little black car and Miguel's jeep which is where Miguel and Selina resided in. More specifically the backseat. The windows were fogged despite the cooler weather and the air was heavy as Selina continued to rock her hips back and forth.
Miguels right hand cupping Selina's jaw as his lips kissed the hickey he placed from the day before. His left stayed on her waist guiding it back and forth. "Fuck." Selina moaned as Miguels grip on her tightened. "ahΓ mismo princesa." Miguel groaned as his teeth grazed her neck.
Selina's hands traveled to Miguel's messy curls as he brought his attention back to her face. His thumb rubbing circles on her cheek as her moans continued. Miguel took his left hand and completely wrapped it around Selina's waist.
Quickly moving her from onto of him, laying her down on back seat as he hovered over her. Selina wrapped her legs around his waist as his pace sped up. "Miguel." Selina's moans were quickly silenced when Miguel brought her in for a kiss.

"Hey Daniel." Amanda's voice rang from the kitchen. "In here honey." Daniel shouted from the living room as he watched the hockey game on the tv. "I was looking at the camera's for the dealerships-" Amanda walked into the living room with an iPad in her hands. She sat down on the couch next to her husband and handed him the iPad. "-then I noticed something at the ones for the dojo."
"Isn't that Miguel's jeep?" Amanda asked as the two looked at the security footage of outside the dojo. There sat Selina's car and Miguel's jeep.
"And Selina's car. Things got heated at practice with them. Maybe they're sparing." Daniel said as he tapped the different footage angles. Nothing in the back yard. Nothing on the side. "They're not anywhere else outside the dojo." Amanda said. They weren't anywhere. "No, no they are not."
Daniel went back to the front camera and watched. He zoomed in as much as he could to double check what he thought he saw. "Is the jeep movi-" Daniel started.
"Yep." Amanda finished. Daniel knew he wasn't crazy, no what he was, was shocked. "How heated we talking?" Amanda asked. Daniel looked over at his wife.

"I'm sorry about earlier." Miguel's words were quiet as his fingertips continued to trace circles on Selina's back. She lifted her head up off his chest to look at his browns staring down at her. "I shouldn't of said that, especially since it's not true. There's a line and I crossed it." Miguel added.
It was the first time since they've known each other that one of them has apologized for anything. Besides when they finally found Miguel in Mexico. Selina apologized for what happened between Miguel and his father. It was a rare moment that they never brought up but it was a genuine apology. Now Miguel was the one apologizing. "I might've been a bitch about it."
"You? A bitch? Never." Miguel joked. "Shut up." Selina chuckled as she smacked his shoulder playfully. "Mmm you wanna make me?" Miguel bit his lip as he looked down at Selina, his fingers resting under her chin. Lifting it up to look at him. "Enticing but we have to get home before both of our parents wonder where we are." Selina started to sit up and grab her clothes. "Yeah yeah." Miguel sighed. "Can you hand me my shirt please?" he asked.
The past two months have been different for everyone. There was a baby in the house and the group of young adults have been trying to figure out how to manage. Plus with class's starting in a few weeks everyone's been trying their best to figure out their schedule so Lila always had someone.
As every day passed and classes came closer, Scar grew more anxious. She didn't want to leave Lila even if it was for thirty minutes. Motherhood was something that seemed to come natural to her. Along with it came the overbearing protectiveness. She trusted her family with her life and Lila's but she knew that it still wasn't going to be easy to be away a few hours a day from her.
She knew she had to get back to finding a job in a few months too. She took this time to take care of her newborn and herself which everyone supported. She knew at some point she would have to go back to job hunting. Which added more anxiety, hopefully by then she would be better with being away from Lila.
Scar took a seat next to Mindy on the couch as she watched Tara hold Lila. "You know she can't register the faces you're making yet, right?" Mindy asked Tara as tara pursed her lips and crossed her eyes at Lila. "So?" Tara shrugged. "She can still play with her Mindy." Chad chimed in as he walked into the living room with a bowl of cereal.
"She has another month." Mindy added. "I just put Lila's clothes in the dryer if you need to wash your clothes." Scar informed Mindy as she collapsed against the couch cushion. "Oh yeah thanks, I should probably-" Mindy's words were cut off when a knock hit their front door.
Chad put his bowl down on the coffee table and sighed as he headed towards the front door. "Were we expecting somebody?" Mindy asked. "Yeah." Scar sighed as she sat back up. As soon as Chad opened the door his expression changed to annoyance.
"Did you know chuckle fuck was coming?" Ethan rolled his eyes as he entered the apartment. "He wanted to see Lila. I told him he could only if it was supervised." Scar huffed. Ethan looked over at Scar he knew she was tired.
Ethan wanted to be around his daughter as much as he could. Which unfortunately hasn't been a lot the past eight and a half weeks. From Scar wanting space after she was born he relied on the video's, photo's and short lived FaceTime calls.
Anytime he would get one he would see Lila but as soon as Ethan asked how Scar was doing or anything else Scar would make an excuse to leave. Things didn't get better when Ethan had to go on a school trip after the school year ended that had to get postponed for July. He hated it.
The whole time he couldn't focus all he thought about was his daughter and Scar to some degree.
Ethan knew without a doubt he loved his daughter more than anything in this world. The few times he's been around her and the calls. He would do anything for her. Scarlett on the other hand, he was always conflicted with her. Even when he was suppose to be the end of her.
He originally hated her and everything and anyone that was connected to her. It was pure sex and attraction the first time they slept together. Over time he fell in what would be his definition of love. To others it might be to the level of obsession. It was confusing for Ethan. He was torn between putting a blade to her neck and penetrating her in other ways.
Since that night he's been trying his best, her whole pregnancy. All he's been doing is trying and after Lila was born he's efforts escalated as much as they could. Hoping that Scar could see that, still not knowing where he stood with her completely.
So when he asked today if he could see Lila, he was more than elated when Scar told him yes. He was expecting her normal "Maybe another time." or "She's been fussy." which didn't fool him and she knew it.
"Great. I guess we're just continuing on coparenting with murderers around here." Chad scoffed as he closed the apartment door. Walking past Ethan, Chad brushed his shoulder before heading towards Tara on the couch with Lila. Plopping down next to her. Ethan watched Chad's gaze stay on him as he sat down. The look itself made Ethan wish his blade hit an important artery.
"Okay guys I'm going to Danny's. Did you guys need anything before I go?" Sam's words coming from the kitchen made Ethan take his eyes off Chad. When Sam walked into the living room confusion took over her face the second she saw Ethan. "What's he doing here?" Sam asked. "My thoughts exactly." Chad added. "He wanted to see Lila. He hasn't seen her in like over a month." Scar informed. "Okay then I'm gonna stay."
"What? Sam no. I'm okay, we're okay. You've been looking forward to staying with Danny all week. We'll be fine." Scar assured her sister. Nervousness and hesitation was apparent on Sam's face as she bit the inside of her cheek.
Looking at Ethan then back at her sister. "We're okay Sam go." Chad chimed in. "Okay." Sam sighed. She knew at least Chad was there with them and if they needed her she would be right across the way. "Call if you need anything. I'm serious." Sam told the group as she adjusted her overnight bag on her arm.
"We will." Tara nodded. Sam glared over at Ethan before heading toward the front door. "Don't make Lila a cousin!" Mindy shouted as Sam walked out the door. "God that's the last thing we need." Scar sighed as she got up from her spot on the couch.
Ethan took his hands out of the front pockets of his grey pants as eyes now rested on his daughter as Scar approached Tara. "Bye bye." Tara whispered to Lila placing a kiss on her head before handing her over to Scar.
"Shit I need to pee." Scar cursed as she rocked her daughter. "Scar I can take her. Go to the bathroom." Ethan offered. Scar looked down at Chad sitting down on the couch. It was a mix of anxiety and hesitation that she was feeling. When she invited Ethan over she was doing it out of the kindness of her daughter.
She knew she owed it to her to have her know who Ethan was but she didn't know that it would be so difficult. "Okay." Scar stepped closer to Ethen. Ethan leaned down as Scar slowly handed Lila over. "Be careful of her neck."
"I got it." Ethan assured her as he adjusted her win his arms. "Ethan! Ethan!" Scar getting nervous just for a second from the look that his hand wasn't supporting Lila's neck. "Scar he has her, it's okay." Mindy told. "Thanks." Ethan whispered. "Don't get use to it." Mindy added.
"We're okay, go." Ethan told as he sat down on the chair across from the coach were Chad and Tara resided. Scar nodded as she started to head towards the bathroom. Ethan looked down his daughter as her curious little eyes looked back up at him.
A small smile lit up his face as he rocked her. "I think this is the first time she's been away from Lila today." Tara sighed as she rested her head on Chad's shoulder. "Yeah I know." Chad agreed. Ethan looked up at the three confused. "Does she not take any time for herself at all?" Ethan asked.
"Barely, she's constantly on mom mode." Mindy moved the pillow from behind her back to the end of the couch so she could lay down. Scar opened the bathroom door and walked back over to the four and her daughter. "Scar why don't you go take a bath or something. Try to relax." Tara sat back up. "Are you trying to tell me I stink?" Scar asked.
"What? No! Well kinda." Chad joked. Scar looked at Chad hurt. Sure she was pretty much living in oversized shirts and shorts or sweats. She didn't think it was bad but it did sound nice for her to was her hair. She hasn't in four days. "I'm joking! I'm joking! Scar you need a moment to yourself though."
Scar looked sighed she knew she needed to shower but was right now the best time to do that with Ethan here. She knew with Chad, her sister, and Mindy Lila would be fine with Ethan but would she be okay. She had to learn to be and it started with baby steps.
XXXX
The warm water hitting her skin felt much needed even though she tried to drown out the sound of the running water. Listening for any cries from Lila or yelling from the other four in the living room. Scar's hands rubbed the warm water up and down her arms trying to get them warm. She stopped as she felt a certain scar on her arm.
Scar looked down at her shoulder as the old slice wound that to this day she knew was from Ethan. No matter how many times he claimed he wasn't there that night she never believed him for a second. She knew he was the one who killed the knife through Anika's stomach.
He was the one causing her so much pain. He was the one who cut her than had the audacity to act concerned the next morning. Scar's fingertips ripped themselves away from her arm as she went to pick up her body wash.
XXXX
Sliding on her underwear, Scar opened one of her drawers to her dresser something caught her eye. She stood back up straight and her eyes glances not only at the scar on her arm but the one on her torso and the one on her thigh. Two out of the three placed there by Quinn Bailey, Ethan's sister and Lila's aunt. That thought always rattled her.
How her own aunt and grandfather wouldn't care if she lived or died. Her thoughts started to spiral as all she could think about id the fact that her body would permanently but marked by Ethan forever. For their situation that was just a small part of it.
Scar's breathing started to intensify as panic rushed through her. Her eyes wondering from her healed skin tissue to her mirror. More specifically the photo strip she forgot she still had up.
The day her and Ethan went to times square with their friends. Before anyone knew about them obviously, besides maybe Chad at the time. Hell they didn't even know what they were at that time frame.
There on one strip was Anika sitting on Mindy's lap with the biggest smiles on their faces. Right next to them was Tara, Quinn, and Chad squeezing in. There on the end next to Quinn sat Scar in the middle and Ethan on the other side.
Everyone had the biggest smiles on their faces in the first couple of photo's. Funny faces in the next. Scar looked at the strip next the the one with her friends.
There was the one that she remembered Ethan distinctly told her he wanted to show her something. Scar could remember the confusion she felt when he brought her back to the photo booth. That was until the first shot with her on his lap smiling away.
The second one was them both laughing. The third and forth one consisted of Ethan's left hand cupping her cheek at he brought her in for a kiss.
They printed two of those photo's and Scar kept them on her mirror for months. No one ever noticed including her. Scar grabbed the one strip of her and Ethan. The tears in her eyes started to form again.
She didn't know how she could fall so deep for someone and notice nothing. Her eyes glanced back up to the reflection in the mirror. Staring at her scar one more time before her eyes focused to behind her.
To Lila's crib in the corner. Then it hit her hard. He will forever be this person who lied and felt no remorse. No true remorse. The only reason she is here, alive and breathing is because of her daughter. Their daughter. She will always have this connection to this horrible person who has killed in the most innocent people in the most gruesome ways.
Scar started thinking about her mother Christina. How she had to deal with the guilt, the thoughts and responsibilities. Is she destined to end up like her mother. A semi functioning alcoholic who abandons her children like they're nothing. She would never.
Then again, her mother must've thought the same thing. The only difference is Billy's dead. Sam had a father figure growing up. Ethan is here, here and unpredictable.
Scar listened to the voice's coming from the living room. The sounds of silence almost or anytime there was a small conversation with Ethan there was always sarcasm or vileness threaded in their voices. She didn't blame them. Scar knew she was the reason for their pain to continue to exist every time Ethan was around.
Even though they swore to her they would be okay at some point. Never with him but with the situation. Scar still knew they had every right not to like him or trust him. She couldn't trust him. She really couldn't and she has slowly come to that realization the past thirty minutes since she entered her room. The past couple months she's been more lenient than she should be.
This man that she thought she knew, loved, and wanted more than anything was a cold hearted ruthless killer. There was no trusting that. He's hurt her before, there no way she could trust he wouldn't do it again.
Scar quickly threw on some black leggings and Chad's old grey Blackmore sweatshirt and took a brush to her black locs. She through her hairbrush back into her drawer then grabbed Lila's pajamas from the left top drawer of her dresser.
Scar walked out of her room to see everyone in the same seats they were previously with Lila still in Ethan's arms. Her eyes looking up at her father with the curly brown hair staring down at her as he rocked her gently. The smile on his face was subtle but there. The three sitting on the couched watched him carefully especially Chad.
The sound of Scar's door opening made Ethan attention from Lila turn to Scar. "What time is it?" Scar asked the group. Mindy tapped on the screen of her phone next to her. "Nine forty seven." Mindy told. "Okay." Scar whispered to herself as she walked over to Ethan and Lila.
Looking at Ethan's brown eyes she once loved so much Scar bent down and took her attention off of Ethan to Lila who was looking up at her. A smile started to form on the child face. "Hi baby." Scar smiled. "I gotta get you fed and ready for bed?"
Scar turned her attention to Ethan again. "Just a few more minutes while I get her bottle ready okay?" Scar asked. "Yeah, yeah of course. I can feed her and put her to bed if you would like." Ethan offered. "I think-" Chad started but was quickly interrupted. "I can take care of it. We have a routine." Scar told Ethan before heading into the kitchen. "Okay..." Ethan trailed off.
"Hey, don't take it personally Ethan." Mindy started in a sincere tone. "Some people just don't like giving there kids to serial killers alone." There is was the sarcasm he was waiting for. "Thanks." Ethan rolled his eyes before returning his attention back to Lila.

After Scar finally got Lila to sleep she slowly and carefully put her in the bassinet next to Scar's bed. She was exhausted and all she wanted to do was sleep. Knowing Ethan was in the next room put her on edge though. Her door was cracked and she knew Chad and Tara were still out there. He wouldn't try anything.
He offered to fold her onesies when her clothes came out of the drier. Just so he could do something to help. Mindy retired to her room for the night as Chad and Tara started cooking dinner. Ethan sat in the living room as he continued to fold the onesies but after another ten minutes passed Ethan heard the cries of his daughter from Scar's room. Ethen looked around to see if Chad and Tara were coming and he listened for Scar but nothing.
Ethan put down the purple onesie with stars on it down and got up from the chair. He slowly opened Scar's cracked door. He saw Lila crying in the bassinet and next to her was Scar passed out on her pillow.
He was surprised she was able to sleep through the crying but he also knew how sleep deprived she was. She didn't want to show it especially to Ethan but she was.
Ethan looked back at his daughter he bent down and grabbed her out from the bassinet. Slowly rocking her as he lightly pat her back. "Shh it's okay."
Scar's eyes fluttered open, she was still exhausted but the second she saw Ethan in her room alone holding Lila. It woke her right up. Ethan looked over to Scar quickly shifting in her bed. "Scar get some sleep, it's okay." Ethan whispered as he slowly rocked his daughter back to sleep.
"No I'm not leaving you alone with her." Scar sat up. The words she's been trying to avoid saying finally slipped. "I'm not going to hurt her." Ethan tried to reassure but it was no use to Scar.
"I fucking know you're not going to hurt her. I won't let you." Ethan furrowed his eyebrows. He knew she was hesitant about him but to what extent he didn't. He knew he was about to find out. "Scar has the past eight months meant nothing?"
"Yeah well now she's here. I don't know if you're going to try to pull some shit." Scar got up from her bed slowly taking her daughter from Ethan. Before Ethan could open his mouth the door creaked back open. "Is everything okay in here?" Chad asked Scar as he glanced between her and Ethan. Scar looked over to Ethan then over to Chad and nodded. "Chad can you take Lila for a minute?"
"Yeah of course." Chad whispered as he took the child from Scar. "Hey there little one." Chad smiled at Lila as her little eyes glanced up at him. "You sure you're okay?" Chad asked once again. Scar nodded in response. Chad looked over at Ethan who was biting his tongue and rolled his eyes. Chad scoffed as he walked out cracking the door behind him.
"Scar I would never lay a hand on you. I would never hurt you or Lila." Ethan spoke his voice almost to a whisper to keep their conversation private but loud enough for Scar to hear. "Yeah. See how that worked out for me last time." Scar crossed her arms over her chest. "Scarlett-"
"Ethan, she is the only reason I am breathing! The only reason my family is alive! So no, I don't care about the past eight months because how the fuck am I suppose to trust you won't cut me up in my sleep and take her. God knows what would happen if she got on your nerves." The words, the questions she kept asking herself finally came out. She always wondered if Ethan would've gone through with it all if she wasn't pregnant.
Ethan could feel anger bubbling inside him from what she was insinuating. He wanted to yell and down right murder her for the statement alone. "I would never." Ethan hissed. "Ethan you kill everything around you."
"I killed for you, my family." Ethan defended. "And Anika!" Scar whisper's got louder. Ethen took a step back. "Yeah I know that was you. I know that you were the one who stabbed me. I know you were at the bodega too. Don't know how you did it but I know you were there. So tell me how did you kill for me? Beside your fuckass sister?"
"Scarlett fine! I killed Anika and I gutted that man at the bodega. I blew that mans brains out and guess what!? I killed Sam's therapist too. You know what? I fucking loved it! I don't feel fucking sorry. No matter how many times I need to give a half ass apology to your friends I don't fucking care. I don't care cause I don't fucking mean it. I don't care what they think of me. I don't care how many times I fucking slid my knife into your meathead friend who likes to play Daddy. I know that I absolutely loved it though." Ethan confessed before taking a step towards her. "But God fucking help me Scarlett I will never touch you again. I will never lay a hand on Lila."
A small smirk, which confused Ethan appeared on her face as she slowly nodded. "There he is." Scar pointed at him. Ethan furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "There's the true Ethan. You want to know why I haven't had to around the past two months? We both know I haven't been busy."
"It's because I don't actually know who you are. Not really." Scar confessed. "I'm trying my best here. I'm really trying to change. I'm trying to be someone I'm not for Lila. For you!" Scar rolled her eyes. "A good person?" Scar scoffed. "If you choose to call it that."
"You will never lay a hand on them." Scar told. "Understood unfortunately." Ethan rolled his eyes. She shot him a nasty glare as she walked past him to open her door. Scar finally saw him.
She didn't want the fake bullshit persona he was putting on. Trying to get on everyone's good side. She knew it wasn't him. She wanted to see the real Ethan, the one he kept from her. She wanted to see if he was even capable of being around Lila.
Ethan let out an aggravated sigh as he watched Scar leave. He was about to walk out behind her till something caught his attention in the corner of his eye. He turned to see a strip of photos Scar was holding earlier that day laying on the top of her dresser. It's been so long since Ethan's been in her room he was surprised she still had them. He looked at the smile displayed on her face in all four frames. Even the one where he was kissing her still had that same smile.
He looked up the other strip still in the corner of her mirror of the one of their old friend group. His eyes landed on his sister for a moment then back at all his so called friends at the time.
He felt something pull at his heartstrings. It was the conflicting feeling again. He was trying to sell her someone he wasn't in those photo's. Then when he brought Scar back over for pictures of just the two of them, he didn't know why he did it. He didn't know why he wanted the extra strip for himself. The extra strip he keeps in his drawer in his nightstand.
Ethan put the photos back down on the dresser even more confused than when he originally took the photos.

Friday December 5th
The front door to the Lawrence residence swung open. Miguel and Selina shuffling in, Miguel's hands never left her waist as Selina lips never left his. After shutting the door Miguel was quick to wrap his fingers around the dip of her waist.
Lifting Selina up swiftly, Miguel slammed her back against the front door. Selina smirked to herself, remember the last time she was thrown against this door. Selina dipped her head to his neck attacking it with kisses and light suction as she rolled her hips onto his slightly. Miguel let out a small groan at the sensation.
That was all Selina needed to set the fire in him thats been building all night ablaze. "You've been more gentle when we've spared recently." Selina whispered in between kisses being placed onto his neck. She paused for a moment to bring her lips back to his. Brushing her own against his but not giving in yet. "You gonna gentle when you fuck me too?" Selina egged him on with a smirk on her lips.
Thats all Miguel needed. Selina watched his eyes darken. Miguel removed his right hand away from Selina's hip and snaked its way up the slit on her dress. Moving her black thong to the side Miguel slid his middle and ring finger into her core.
A whimper escaped Selina as she rested her forehead on Miguels. His finger's continuously moving in a come here motion hitting the spot she needed him. "Look at me." Miguel instructed but Selina couldn't focus on his words. "Selina look at me." Miguel growled. Selina's ice blues connected with his baby browns as she tried to focus.
"You're mine. Got it?" Miguel slid his fingers out from her and quickly undid his belt. "No one else's." Free from the black leather belt, Miguel undid the button and zipper of his black dress pant.
Pulling himself out quickly he looked back into her needy eyes. "Mine." Miguel repeated as he slid into her without warning. The action itself made Selina's head drop back against the door in pleasure.
Miguel shifted his hips but didn't move after that. "Miguel." Selina whined, frustrated at the feeling of him not moving. "Say it." Miguel demanded but Selina stayed silent. The only sound that escaped her was the sound of her heavy breathing. Selina looked up at his dark eyes and dominant demeanor.
Part of her didn't want to give him the satisfaction but the other part really needed him and she knew which part was going to win.
Miguel shifted his hips again sending a wave of pleasure through her. Selina finally caved. "Fuck. I'm yours." With that without hesitation Miguel started moving at the pace she desperately needed him.
Her fingers gripping his curls as she brought him back to her red lips. The kiss was needy and hot and unfocused as Selina would let off her moans into his mouth. "Joder princesa." Miguel groaned.
Miguel felt her clench around him the second the spanish words left his mouth. He made a mental note of that for later. He drew his attention away from Selina for one second to the lock on the front door next to them.
His fingers left her skin for just a second to turn the lock. His hands went back to grip her waist. Pulling her away from the door and holding her close to try to stay in her Miguel made his way to Selina's room.
Laying her down gently on the bed as he hovered over her he pulled out for a second. Working the buttons to his black dress shirt as quick as he could.
He just wanted to feel her skin on his. Discarding his dress shirt and undershirt to the floor along with his dress slacks. Selina eyes glanced up slowly from his v-line up to his lust filled eyes.
Pulling the straps off her shoulder and slowly pulling the dress down her small frame. Fingers grabbing the bands of her thong along the way.
The red dress Miguel once loved joined the rest of the clothes on the floor. His lips planting a small kiss on her cheek before Miguel guided himself back into her, holding her close this time.
Selina let out an angelic moan to Miguel's ears. He could never not hear it, he could never get tired of that sound. Miguel watched her eyebrows furrow and her bottom lip between her teeth trying to muffle her sound. "Don't do that." Miguel told her. "I want to hear you."
Selina nodded as her lust filled eyes met his. He looked at her lips then back up at her eyes. His right hand slowly made its way to her bare chest. His fingertips touching softly on her skin, making their way up to her neck.
His eyes staying on hers searching for a red light from her as he tested the waters. Selina bit her lip hard again as she watched him. He wrapped his fingertips around her throat applying a small amount of pressure causing Selina's eyes to roll.
That's what had him. He quickly crashed his lips onto hers as his hips sped up. He could feel her tightening around him, she was getting close and so was he. Miguel grabbed her neck with more force bringing her closer to him. "I knew you were a little slut." and with that Selina called out his name as her high washed over her and Miguels not long after.

Selina listened to the sound of Miguel's heartbeat from under her. This was new, usually after sex they would joke, talk, or watch a movie or show but never snuggle. She didn't think they were going to either till Miguel pulled her onto him.
Now here they were his finger tips painting pictures on her bare back as Selina followed the outline of his muscles on his chest. Miguelβs chin resting on the top of Selina's head as he enjoyed feeling her smooth skin under his touch.
They both knew that this was new territory and over all dangerous territory but they didn't want to ruin it or change it. Selina looked up at Miguel who's eyes met hers. He studied the look on her face. It was the look of vulnerability. Scared of what the next step was or what the next word was. Truthfully Miguel was too.
Miguel brought his right hand up to her face moving a piece of hair away from her eyes and behind her ear while the other stayed on her back. From there his right hand cupped her cheek bringing her lips to his in a light but passionate kiss. Selina slowly started to shift her body onto his. Miguel sat up to meet her halfway.
His right hand still cupping her cheek as his left wrapped around her waist bringing her as close to him as he could. Selina's hands traveled from his curls down to his length, lifting her hips up for a second before sitting back down. Gasps escaping both of them as Selina started to slowly rock back and forth.
Their lips separated as Selina looked into Miguels eyes. It was intimate, it was different than what it usually was. They both knew it. "Miguel." Selina whimpered. "Iβm yours baby." The pet name rolled off Miguels tongue with such ease. Robby's ringtone went off on Selina's phone. Glancing over at her phone Selina knew they had to hurry up. "Miguel he's on the way-"
"I know. I just want to hold you." Selina nodded at Miguel's words as her lips found his once again. Her hips continued to roll slowly as she took in every ounce of him. His fingertips would continue to trace her skin as he would keep eye contact. Both scared but didnβt want to stop.

Selina was in the shower for about five minutes when Miguel heard the front door lock start to be fidgeted with. He was on the last button on his black dress shirt. He looked around the room and saw his green hoodie on the back of Selina's desk chair. He quickly grabbed it and started to walk out of her room. When Robby turned back around from closing the front door he was surprised to see Miguel in his kitchen. "What are you doing here?"
"Doing laundry and I forgot my sweatshirt here the other day." Miguel gestured to the sweatshirt in his hand. "Okay..."Robby trailed off. "With the door locked?" he asked.
"It's a habit." Miguel wasn't lying at that part. It was a habit, he was always the one locking the door at his place. Robby squinted his eyes "Are your lips red?" he asked. "What?" Miguel could feel his eyes widen a little. "Your lips, they look red." Robby pointed. "Might've been from the punch."
"Uh huh. Well since you're here wanna play the game?" Robby tried to switch the subject. "I can't, I have to finish my laundry than I'm gonna head to bed. Kinda tired." Miguel sighed. "Okay, have you seen Selina?"
"I think she's in the shower. I don't know how long she's been in there she's was in there when I got here." Miguel shrugged. "I'll see what she's up to when she's done. Maybe she'll beat your high score."
Miguel internally chuckled. After the night she's had her heads going to hit the pillow fast. "She wishes. Anyways night dude." Miguel patted Robby's shoulder as he passed. "Night." Robby watched Miguel leave and as he did he knew he just caught Miguel in a lie. He was just wonder what kind. Miguel on the other hand, closing the door behind him. He held the hoodie up to his nose. It smelled just like her.

When Selina got out of her long shower she sighed as the steam hit her when she opened the curtain. Her body felt tired but refreshed. After she put on her robe and left the bathroom she was quickly met with Robby in the hallway on the way to his room. Panic started to set in her. Did he see Miguel in her bed? How long has he been home? Is Miguel still here? "Hey." Robby greeted her. "Hey." Selina greeted nonchalantly as she tried to make her way towards her room across the hall.
"So what happened tonight?" Robby's question grabbed Selina's full attention instantly. "What?" Selina muttered. "The dance? You left, no one could find you. Theo said you went to get the bathroom and..." Robby trailed off. "Then we couldn't find Miguel either." Robby finished. Selina gulped as her mind faced trying to find some sort of excuse. "I um- I got sick and Miguel found me in the hall. I was throwing up so he drove me home."
"Hmm that's nice of him. Then he stayed to make sure you were okay?" Robby asked. Wondering what her answer would as he looked down at his sister. He was curious if he would catch her in the same lie Miguel tried to use. "Yeah," Selina slowly nodded. "Hmm and he stayed here the whole time?"
"Yeah he was just in the living room watching tv." Selina shrugged her shoulders trying to make her lie more convincing. However, there was no convincing Robby. They didn't have their stories straight and that's all Robby needed.
He was still confused on why though. "Are you feeling better now?" Robby asked. "Yeah I'm exhausted to be honest." Robby nodded at his sister. "Okay well I'm gonna let you sleep then. Good night."
"Night Robby." Selina spoke softly as she continued to her room. Opening her bedroom door she looked over to her desk chair. His sweatshirt was gone. She wanted to wear it to bed. It was comfortable and it fit her like a night gown. It was perfect for sleep and he took it. Selina sighed as she sat on the edge of her bed.
Thinking about the events of the night, more specifically the more intimate moment between them. They never experienced that together.
Never experienced the closeness, sure he would ask her if she was okay and they would kiss each other when they would have sex. However the slowness, the cuddling, the slow kisses, the eye contact, and the pet name. Selina didn't know what to make of it either and honestly it terrified her.
Miguel wasn't any better as he sat on the couch flipping through channels on the television but not paying attention to any of them. He was thinking about how much Selina made his blood boil tonight. How much the sight of her and Theo together made him feel like punching everything and anything.
How he let out that anger on her but then how quickly that changed. It was almost romantic. He knew just as much as she did romance was not in the cards for them. It couldn't be. They were friends, borderline enemies is more like it. They were enemies who like to let out their frustrations on each other.
Thats all, and that's all he had to keep telling himself. He grabbed the ends of his green sweatshirt he and lifted it over his head leaving him in his tee shirt. He decided to wash the sweatshirt the next day.
Β Selina was focusing on her eye makeup when she heard a knock on her door. "Yeah?" Robby opened the door to see his sister on her bed finishing up with her eye liner. "Hey I'm about to go pick up Tory, you sure you're gonna be good with this guy?" Robby asked. Selina looked up to see her brother in light grey dress pants and a light blue shirt to match Tory's light blue dress. "You look nice." Selina smiled. "Thank you but seriously, you good?"Β
Selina nodded "Yeah I'll be fine." Selina assured him. "Okay well I'll see you there." Robby closed her door behind him. Selina looked at her phone next to her. Tapping on the screen she saw a message from Theo.
Theo:
Be there in 30 :)
Selina:
Okay see you soon
Selina quickly finished her makeup and did the finishing touches on her hair before sliding on her dress and heels. When she walked out of her room her father was coming through the front door. "Oh my God." Johnny whispered as he looked at his daughter.
"What? Is there something wrong?" Panic set on Selina's face. "No Selina. You look beautiful." Johnny for a moment looked at his daughter and saw Selina's mother standing in their apartment.
She looked just like her he would never tell Selina of course. He knew it would upset her but she was truly a gorgeous woman and Selina was growing to look like her. "Thanks Dad." Selina smiled. "Yeah of course. So are you heading out?"Β
"Theo should be here soon." The answer caused Johnny to stop in his tracks. "Theo? Who's Theo?" Selina could see her father go into protective dad mode. "He's just one of our friends, he's bringing me." Selina tried to make it as breezy as she could. "Is this Theo your boy-"Β
"No dad no. I promise, just a friend. He's harmless." Selina patted her fatherβs shoulder. "Thats what they used to say about me now your brother and you are four months apart." Johnny grabbed a coors from the fridge. "Thanks dad for that image. Wait what are you doing here? Aren't you and Carmen going out tonight with the Larusso's?" Selina sat down at the kitchen table. "Yeah she's running a little late at work so we are just going out when she gets off." Johnny sat down next to her at the table. Selina looked down at her phone on the table as Theo's contact popped up.Β
Theo:Β
What apartment are you I'll come walk you to the car?
"Well I'm going to go." Selina got up from the kitchen table and grabbed her long black coat. "He's not coming up?" Johnny asked. "It's not that he doesn't want to I'm just not letting him." Selina tied the ties around her waist. "Selina come on I'm not gonna drill the kid."Β
"Not taking that chance. I'll be back later." Selina waved bye to her father as she quickly left the apartment. Walking down the old metal stairs Selina saw Theo standing outside his older mustang. "Oh so you're the one who drives this?" Selina was always curious who drove the only mustang on the school lot. Turns out it was the hot football nerd.
XXXX
Everyone finally arrived at the dance that was besides Selina. Miguel was starting to think she actually wasn't coming. Maybe he did make her feel a type of way. He truly wasn't trying to he was just doing their normal thing. He didn't think that was going to be what finally got her.
"Has anyone seen Selina? Or heard from her?" Moon asked as she sent yet another text message but still nothing."She's coming with Theo." Robby sat down at the blue covered table next to Tory and Hawk.Β "Selina's finally dating. Good for her." Demetri was out the day Selina finally decided to go.Β "They're not dating." Miguel slipped. His voice low but still audible. "She's his date isn't she?" Demetri added.Β "But Selina actually dating someone fat chance." Miguel leaned back in his chair. "I don't know Miguel I think you might need to bite the bullet and accept it." Tory took the extra punch glass Robby was handing her. "Accept what?"Β
"That she might be an attractive human being to people besides you and can get a date. Damn a hot one too." Tory gestured behind Miguel. Miguel turned around to see Selina walking towards the table.
Her dress was scarlet red with a low cut sweetheart neck line. Her dress straps thin and the slit high. It worked as it molded her physic perfectly. Her hair was not its usual straight, her long beach waves tickling near the ends of her back where her dress opened in the back. Her red lip and dark eyeliner wings made her blue eyes pop even more than usual. Miguel could feel himself getting hard just by looking at her. Then he would look over at Theo in his black suit attire and a matching red tie and instantly go soft.
"Damn. Robby respectfully, your sister might be getting some tonight." Hawk words made Robby roll his eyes. "Why? Just why?" Robby groaned. The statement grossed out Robby but poured gasoline on the fire Miguel was already feeling.
The thought of Theo's hands on her. Hearing her moans. Kissing her lips. It drove Miguel insane. "Dude you don't wear a dress like that just to wear it." Demetri added.Β
"Plus look at him." Demetri gestured over. "Red? Does she not know that everyones suppose to wear white, black or blue?" Sam thought out loud. The question did make Miguel wonder. Why red indeed? They approached the table as Theo pulled out the last open chair next to Miguel for Selina.
"You sit. That way we can both sit." Selina smiled. "Okay." Theo grinned as he sat down. Selina then took a seat on Theo's lap. Shifting a little to get comfortable, Miguel watched as Theo placed his hand on her waist. His thumb rubbing circles on her exposed skin near the open back part of the dress. Tory sat there with wide eyes and a smirk as she watched her best friend finally show confidence with a man. She never thought she had it in her.Β
"Guys this is Theo." Selina introduced Theo to her friends around the table. "Nice to meet you all." Theo smiled. An abundance of hello's were shot his way. "Which one of you guys is Robby?" Theo asked. "That would be me." Robby lifted his hand up. "Nice to meet you man. I'm sorry I wanted to come and introduce myself earlier before the dance but Selina told me to hold off for the moment."Β
"Well I appreciate that." Robby did. He could admit Selina might've done a good job with this one. After a few minutes Miguels eyes lingered back to Theo's hand that was still on Selina's waist. His fingertips still circling her skin. It drove him mad. He didn't even notice Selina looking his way till his eyes glanced up.
Selina shot him what would appear to be an innocent smile to everyone else. To Miguel though he knew it was far from innocent. She was playing him and he knew it. While everyone was educating Theo about the Sekia Tekia Miguel and Selina were having a war without even saying a word.
XXXX
"You wanna dance?" Theo yelled over the loud music booming. Selina looked over at Tory and her brother, Moon and Hawk. They were all having fun. One dance wasn't going to kill her. "We'll be right back." Selina told Miguel, Sam, and Demetri as she sat up from Theo's lap.
Reaching her hands out for him to grab which he does happily as Theo got up, leading her to the dance floor. Miguel pealed his eyes away as much as he could. Pissed off he turned to the girl next to him. "Do you wanna dance?" Sam looked at him shocked and confused. "Um sure, I guess."Β
There was no looking for her. In the crowd of blue's, whites, and blacks her red was prominent. Miguel tried to keep his eyes on Sam or talk to Hawk and Moon who were directly next to them. However they kept wondering over to her. Her smooth exposed skin that Theo's hand was currently wrapped around.
Everyone was right he was a nice guy but God if Miguel didn't want to beat him to a pulp right now. After a few songs he watched Selina tap him and lean up to tell him something before walking off. Miguel brought his attention back down to Sam. "I'm going to run to the restroom." Miguel yelled over the music. Sam nodded as Miguel started to walk off.Β
Selina made her way away from the crowd of dancing teens to the punch bowl. Grabbing a glass and the ladle resting in the bowl. "Really want to take the chance of drinking that with that dress on?" Selina turned around to see Miguel walking up with his hands resting in his black dress pants. Selina smirked as she brought the glass app to her lips. "I could always just take it off."Β
"And what? Have you expose us to everyone here?" Miguel's steps slowly getting closer to her. She looked up at him the smirk never leaving her face. Her black heals making her a few inches taller but still not tall enough to easily give him the kiss she wanted to desperately. "Who said I would be taking it off for you?"Β
Miguels cheeky grin stayed on his face as he grabbed the glass from Selina's hand and bringing it up to his lips taking a sip of the red liquid. "It's certainly a choice. Really took a chance with this one. Thats a really low back." Miguel's eyes scanned her body before returning back to hers. "Taking chances is exciting I've come to learn." Selina's icy blues stared up at his chocolate browns. "Mmm. Here I was thinking little miss boring was gonna wear a sweatshirt."Β
"Ahh yes little miss boring. Same little miss boring who couldn't get a dat-" Selina's words were quickly cut off. "Do you ever shut the fuck up?" Miguel cursed as he put the glass down one the table behind Selina. Selina's chest starting to heave from the deep breaths. Her thighs pressing together just from the tone of Miguels voice. "Do you talk to all your other friends like that?"Β
"I haven't been inside all my other friends. Haven't made them moan my name." Selina bit the inside of her cheek. "Haven't felt them convulse around me as they get closer and closer-" Not even caring if someone looked over or heard anything that was being said as Miguel's body finally met Selina's. Selina's eyes glancing down from Miguels browns to his plump lips. "Miguel." Selina's words almost a whisper. Miguel took no time to grab Selina's hand and start to quickly make his way with her out of the gym.
The winter formal was coming up and Selina thought it was a big crock of shit. What was the point of it? They were going to have prom in a few months anyways. It was just and excuse for the school to make more money sure but it meant that people would be going out spending more money on dresses and suits. That itself didn't necessarily interest Selina.
Selina grabbed the two books she needed from her next class when a voice rang behind her. "Hey." Selina turned around to be met with a tall senior who goes by the name of Theo. Theo was always a nice guy to Selina. She's known him the past four years as either lab partners or just small talk in the hallway. "Oh hey Theo what's up?" Selina greeted Theo with a smile. "Nothing, nothing, well actually there is something." Theo chuckled. "So I was think, or really wondering if you had plans for the formal?"
"Oh?" Selina was taken back a little. Sure, if she was actually planning on going of course she wouldn't mind going with Theo but part of her felt like she had a weird connection to Miguel. Like she wouldn't be able to give Theo a whole hearted good time. She wouldn't exactly be dating Theo and she knew that. She still felt like it was the right thing to do. Not drag some guy around. Besides the relationship was the last thing she wanted right now.
Little did she know that across the hall stood Moon who talked to Theo that morning. Theo asked Moon if he should go for it and of course Moon cheered him on. All she wanted was to see her friend happy and Theo was a great guy for that.
"I'm sorry Theo but I'm not going." Selina spoke softly. "Oh." Theo sighed. "I think you're really sweet and if I was going I would totally go with you. I'm flattered. I just am gonna stay home and study for Mr. Ricardo's test next week."
"Well if you change your mind. I would love to take you. If not then, I hope you have a good time studying." Theo smiled as his fingers played with the straps of his bag. "Thank you." After Theo walked away Selina went to return to her locker when she was met with another familiar voice.
"Whats wrong with you?" Selina turned to see Moon leaning against the locker next to her. "What do you mean?" Selina asked. "Selina a perfectly nice and respectful good looking guy asks you to the formal and you say no? Why? Whats wrong with you?" Moon asked again. "I'm just not going." Selina shrugged. "Why not?"
"So I can study for the test?" Selina grabbed two extra pens from her locker and put them in her bag. "Selina come on you study all the time. Please come out with us. Come have fun, Theo is great. We're all going. Please at least think about it."
"Please." Moon added one more. "Fine I'll think about it." Selina closed her locker as the two girls started to head towards their next class.
XXXX
"I wasn't planning on going." Selina told the group as she took a bite of her salad. "Oh come on you have to go. What are you gonna do go home and study?" Sam chuckled. "Actually yes." Selina deadpanned."Like anyone would ask you anyways." said Miguel under his breath. "What?" Selina snapped.
"I'm just saying like anyone would actually want to bring you." Miguel chuckled trying to make a dig at her. Selina was tired of hearing it from everyone today. She was overall just in a crabby mood and she knew it too. She didn't have the energy to go back and forth with Miguel today.
Selina sighed as she started to grab her things. "Selina?" Tory questioned. "I actually do have a date Diaz. So you can fucking suck it." Selina cursed as she grabbed her tray off the table and started to walk over to the trash can then out of the cafe. "Shit. She really isn't playing with you today dude." Hawk chuckled.
Miguel however didn't pay attention to to his words. instead he was too focused on hers. She had a date. He could feel his body slowly getting warm and his frustration coming to a peak as he scoffed to himself. She couldn't be serious she couldn't have a date. She's just saying that to get under his skin. More importantly why was it? Thats not the way things were. Jealousy wasn't in the cards for them. He couldn't let it be. Meanwhile Moon sat there smiling at Selina's words. She was going to give Theo a chance.
XXXX
"Miguel wait up." Sam called out as she tried to catch up to Miguel across the lot. "What Sam?" Miguel didn't want to talk to anyone right now especially Sam.
They haven't said a word to each other since that night and Miguel honestly didn't mind it that way. "Look I wanted to apologize about the other night." Sam finally caught up to Miguel as he reached his jeep. "You do?" Miguel turned around to face the shorter girl. "Yes I do. Look I shouldn't of acted that way and I was reading too much into things. I was over reacting and I'm sorry."
"I'm not the one you should be apologizing to." Miguel told her. "I know and if I told her or if she found out I would but I told you and I want you to know how disgusted I am with myself for talking about my friend like that. She was drunk and I'm glad she had you there. I know you guys aren't together. Hell you two hate each other." If only she knew Miguel thought to himself. She didn't need to though. It wasn't her business and it wasn't going to be.
He knew Sam wasn't a vicious person. Which is why he was so surprised when she said what she did. Miguel took a deep breath. "Please Miguel I'm sorry." Sam repeated. "It wasn't okay, but I'll accept your apology."
"Good and I actually do mean it this time. can we please just try to stay friends. No fighting, no strings, just friendship." Sam was trying her best to be genuine. She was going to work on their friendship.
Didn't mean in the back of her mind she didn't still have some feeling or she didn't suspect something between them anymore. She knew though to put out the big fire she had to put out all the small ones first. "Just friendship." Miguel reiterated. "I promise." Sam shot him a hopeful smile. Miguel slowly nodded his head. "Okay. Friends."
It's been a few days since Selina and Miguel started to hookup and if someone asked them what they were doing they wouldn't be able to give a straight answer. From hating each others guts at practice, school, with their friends, with each other to having each others hands on one another. It was truly blurred lines.
They made it a point not to say anything about it out loud to one another but they both had a silent agreement. They constantly got under each others skin but sometimes they just needed to be under each other. No one could know a thing about any of it. Which can sometimes cause issues when they would be at the apartments. Johnny and Carmen worked their jobs like clock work. It was when Robby was going to be home at Selina's or when Rosa would be at Miguel's.
After picking the six, training has been even more crucial and tiring for everyone. It just meant that they would be at their very bests when the time came. Practice was coming to an end as Johnny finished up his lesson.
Miguel's eyes looked over at Selina next to him as Johnny was finishing up. "You need a study partner?" Miguel whispered. "Depends on what we're studying." Selina whispered keeping her eyes on her father. "I was thinking human anatomy."
Selina took her eyes off her father to glance over to Miguel with a sly smile forming on her face. "I think I do need a refresher on that course." She whispered. Miguel kept the smirk on his face as he slowly nodded his head.
XXXX
The apartment was empty as Johnny stayed to go over and plan with Daniel and Chozen for the following weeks practices. Robby was at work and with that Selina and Miguel resided in her room. Selina's back arching off the bed as a waves of pleasure would race through her. Her finger entangled in Miguels curls as his tongue continued to explore her. "Miguel!" Selina moaned as Miguels fingertips gripped hard around Selina's thighs.
"Selina! You home?"
Robby's voice rang through the apartment causing Selina and Miguel to come to a halting stop. "Shit, shit, shit." Selina cursed as she looked down at Miguel in-between her bare thighs.Β "Uh, Yeah!" Selina yelled to her brother. Confused why he was home already. She was listening for a response as she heard footsteps getting closer to her door. It wasn't until the heard the door knob turn till she yelled out "Don't I'm changing!"
"Sorry." Robby quickly took his hand off the door knob. Selina looked back down at Miguel under the covers. A smirk formed on his glossy covered lips. "Are you doing anything tonight? Everyone might go see a movie. I was gonna ask if you wanted to go." Robby asked. "Uh- Wait why are you home? Don't you have work?"
"I thought I did, I had the wrong schedule, so I came home. So movie? Also have you seen or heard from Miguel he's not answering anyone?" Robby asked through the door. "Um'-" Thats when Miguel licked a long strip on her core. "Nope, no I haven't. I think I'm gonna-" Selina's voice began to get shaky as Miguel continued to focus where she needed him. "I'm gonna have to pass." she finally got out.
"Ok, are you okay?" Robby asked hearing her shaky voice through the door. Selina looked back down at Miguel again. His mouth was at work but his eyes were anything but innocent as they looked up at her. Selina's body started to shake as she laid her head back on her pillow.
"Yeah, I'm okay." Selina huffed. "Are you sure? You sound kinda weird." Robby asked. "Just not feeling the greatest." Selina lied as her fingers wrapped in Miguel's curls as his hand traveled up to her chest.Β "You need me to get you anything?"
"Nope, nope I'm good. Hav-Have fun." Selina's words quickly fell out of her mouth as her other hand started to clench her bed sheets. "Thanks?" Robby furrowed his eyebrows as he walked away from her door but not before looking back again just for a second. "Fuck that was close." Selina gasped. "Mmm so are you." Miguel added two fingers as his tongue continued not taking long after for Selina to come undone.
XXXX
"So no Selina?" Tory asked as the group stood in line at concessions. "Not tonight. She said she wasn't feeling good or something." Robby shrugged. "You don't believe her?" Tory asked sensing her boyfriends off body language. "It's not that I don't believe her. I don't know I feel like there's something going on with her and I don't know exactly how to figure it out. Or how to help her. I've tried to talk to her after Halloween and nothing. I don't know. Has she told you anything?" Robby confessed.
Tory shook her head. "Selina and you have always been close if there was something wrong you know she would tell you and I know she would tell me. Honestly, she might just be starting to go back into her downward spiral of stressing herself out for college. You know that's all she could talk about all summer and the beginning of the year."
"Yeah maybe..." Robby trailed off. "Did anyone hear from Miguel?" Sam asked the group as they met up with Tory and Robby at concessions. "Nope. I asked Selina before I left. She had no idea." Robby told the six. "I've been calling and texting him but nothing." Demetri added. "I'll try." Hawk took his phone out of the pocket of his blue jeans.
Clicking Miguel's contact then clicking the speaker button. After a couple of rings the same thing came up that everyone else has gotten at least once. A voicemail. "Well guess he's not coming." Hawk shrugged. "And Selina's not?" Sam asked Robby. Robby shook his head. "Hmm" Sam hummed.

It was Johnny's turn to make dinner tonight but due to coming home late he picked up Chinese on the was home from the dojo which no one had an issue with. "So how was your day Johnny?" Carmen asked her boyfriend as they all finally were abled to get settled at the table. "Good, good or muy good." Johnny looked over at Rosa chuckling. "What did I not say it right?" Johnny has started to try to learn Spanish. He is only on level one on dualingo.
"How about you guys?" Carmen brought her attention over to the kids. Tory was joining them for dinner which made Selina really happy. She hasn't been around for dinners in a long time but with her mom getting better she finally was able to come to this one. "Good. Dad, Mr. Larusso and Chozen are working us really hard." Robby answered before taking a bite of his noodles. "Need you guys on your A-game." Johnny replied.
"So how was the movie?" Johnny asked the kids. "It was good. Kind of short." Robby replied. "Yeah speaking of which, why didn't you go? Everyone was texting you." Tory turned her attention to Miguel across from her. "Oh I um- I fell asleep." Miguel cleared his throat before taking a sip of water. "Mmm" Tory hummed.
"You guys were probably able to watch the movie in peace finally." Selina chuckled. "Like you're any better? You're the loudest person I know." Miguel shot back a smirk starting to form on the corners of his lips. Knowing she is the only other person in the room understanding the double meaning made it even better for him.
"Ha. Ha. Bite me." Selina snapped. "Thats the best you can come up with?" Miguel chuckled. "I could bring up daddy issues in Mexico if you want me to go really hard." Selina word came out of her mouth quicker than she could process. "Selina." Robby warned. She was going a little too far. Tory sat back in her chair with an amused smile on her face. She needed to come to dinner more often. Selina could see the redness spread onto Miguel's cheeks.
Not out of embarrassment but out of frustration. His smirk however never dissipated in fact it grew more. His tongue poking out a little in between the smile. The same tongue he was just fucking her with a few hours before is the same one she wishes she could just cut off to make him shut up.
"Wanna keep going? Cause I can make your face even redder if you want." Selina egged on. "Okay. Do you two have any plans this weekend?" Robby cut off his sister brining the attention over to Carmen and Johnny. Selina took a sip of her water and quickly swallowed when she felt a hand travel to her upper thigh. Miguel leaned in a little bit closer to Selina. Not enough to be suspicious but enough to not draw the attention off of his mother and Johnny.
"Reds my favorite color."

Selina sat in bed with her books studying the words on the pages when a knock hit her door. "Come in." Her door slowly opened to reveal her brother. "Hey." He greeted her. "Hey." She sat up from being hunched over her books. "Whats up?" She asked. "Can I ask you something?" Robby asked as he walked over to her desk chair next to her bed. "Whats up big bro?" Selina watched as Robby sat across from her in her desk chair. "Is there anything going on?"
The question took Selina off guard and Robby picked up on it too. "What do you mean? Going on in what way?" Selina closed the book on her lap putting it on the foot of her bed with all her others. "I don't know. You've been acting kind of weird lately and I just want to make sure youre okay. You a little standoffish now."
"What?" Selina asked. "Not in a bad way. You've just been MIA more nowadays and you've been just I don't know seem off. I'm sorry I don't know really what I'm trying to say." Robby shook his head as he leaned back in the chair. "Robby I'm okay." Selina sighed. "Are you sure?"
"Yes I'm sure. I'm just trying to focus on school, this tournament, our friends. It's a lot sometimes." Selina disclosed. "Yeah that's what Tory said was probably it. I'm sorry I just get worried about you sometimes. I don't want you spiraling again."
Two years ago Selina found a letter from her mother that she sent to Johnny when Selina was five. She never opened it. All it did was bring up emotions that she didn't know how to deal with in a healthy was. Truthfully she was depressed. No one noticed it for a little but suspicions started to rise when Tory would hear her throwing up.
After two weeks Selina collapsed at practice. Tory told Robby and Johnny what she had been trying to figure out. That night Johnny felt like a failure with his kids once again. How could he not tell what was going on with his own daughter. How did the baggy clothes and the full dinner plates not strike him as odd. It took her a few month and a therapist Amanda recommended for Selina to start feeling like a normal person again.
"Robby I promise you I'm not. I'm okay." She loved her brother and she didn't want to worry him but she also didn't want to tell him she's been hooking up with his best friend and their almost borderline step brother. "Okay. You know you can talk to me though, about anything."
