[UKIYO-E] A fruitful Saturday at the #ukiyoe exhibition ^^ As we arrived at the exhibition gate, the interactive version of the famous "Great Wave of Kanagawa" (Hokusai, 1831-1833) was greeting us in a fun way, that also very entertaining for the kids who visited the museum as well. The first floor of the museum generally introduced about the history and production process of #ukiyoe artworks during the Edo era. Spontaneously crossed the Tokyo Bay from home to this special city with so much creative energy from its communities and everything that resonates within the town. My pics definitely can't tell much how lovely this city is, because just exactly like last year when we had a great time in this city : I immediately felt high and feeling at ease as we passed by the Yokohama bridge to see the sign of Kamakura in sight. [INDONESIAN - JAPANESE ] fusion for this weekend :  1. TEMPE MISO YAKI 2. NASI GORENG INARI 3. KITSUNE SOTO Cooking together at home with some rooms for creativity definitely enriched our taste palatte. Also, since we source our ingredients from the local shops, we just need to have fun and be grateful about things we have at home without being too fussy about how it should be, as long as it's tasty and (hopefully) healthy.  It's interesting how both tempe and miso that came from soybean but processed in different methods are able to compliment each other. It's clear that they came from the same roots and can do a lovely collaboration. RECIPE for the TEMPE-MISO YAKI:  Ingredients :  For marinated - tempe yaki : Tempe (500 gr) 1/2 Clove of Garlic Miso paste (1 tablespoon) Mirin (1 teaspoon) Sesame Oil  (1 teaspoon) Sesame Seeds (1 tablespoon) Kecap Manis or Soyu also fine  (1 tablespoon) Sprinkle of Dashi powder (if any) How to Cook: 1. Marinate tempe with the mix of miso paste, mirin, sesame oil, kecap manis and sprinkle of Dashi powder (if any). Leave it soak for 30 minutes to 1 hour. 2. Roast them in the 180 degree oven for 15 -20 minutes. Then as a finishing touch, stir-fried them on the non sticky pan without cooking oil. (I think just by roast or stir-fried on the non sticky pan should work).  Then we dip them into unagi sauce type and serve with miso soup and hot rice. Notes for our Inari Style ingredients (mostly suitable for 6-7 pieces of Inari) : Rice (1 cup or Ichigo) Rice vinegar (2 teaspoon) Aonori (1tablespoon) Sesame leaves (2) Bonito sauce (1teaspoon) Sesame Oil  (1 teaspoon) Mirin (1 teaspoon) Sprinkle of Dashi powder (if any) Notes for Unagi sauce if you don't have it, it can be replaced with this ingredients as well : Soyu or Kecap Manis (1tablespoon) Mirin (1 teaspoon) Sake (1 teaspoon) Then boil them for around 3 minutes #nobitorucooking #tempe #inari #IndonesianJapaneseFusion #July #2020 (at Chiba-shi, Chiba, Japan) https://www.instagram.com/p/CCQ3F0GgRJWodJ7zcyMbyPp7tKINzCJcUeDQb40/?igshid=1pnl1s5dcwdod

Found this 1250 y.o #kokubunji temple (that was built in #Nara era) after visiting parents-in-law today. Originally, this #kokubunji that was designed as female temple was made of seashells, seaweed, calcium and hemp, then rebuilt around 30 years ago on the same grounds. In this same area, we also found another temple remains with one #yakushido left from the #edo era. (Flowing in)to the water is one of my favorite fun-easy meditation technique. Usually, I just sat down next to any flowing water : river, lake, stream, or even calm ocean like this. Then I talked to the water and released any worries, anger, headache, any little itchy feelings I had or just part of daily practice to clear up the unconscious things I may no longer need to hold on. Simply, just to make myself feel lighter or easy. Then I sent them out with my breathing to flow, dissolved with the water. I watched them, visualized them until it becomes clear or disappeared. Unexpectedly, Fuji-san joined me after the Sun setting down, just behind the view of an early evening from Yokohama seaside. It was very calming - unforgettable moment. Just like when you walked around a random street then your Rockstar or K-Pop Idol came to greet you. Arigatou ~ Fuji-san. Hisashiburi :) 🌸 Next video : it's the common song/ the sign for the kids in Japan to go home. It's time to stop playing outside and have dinner at home. An easy hike to the Mt. Daifuku - mountain of Great Luck, a while ago (Great Luck is the literal meaning of "Daifuku", which might remind some of you to the Daifuku Mochi :D). 😍 Located in Minami Boso (Boso is the old name of Chiba, while Minami means south), this easy hiking route can be reached by a day trip from Tokyo. If it's sunny-lucky day on the top, we can see another side of Tokyo Bay from the far south. It was my first time ever to take public transportation to do some paperwork since I arrived in Japan last March. Japan has ended it's emergency status and finally I got to see another "reality" just 3 train stations away from home. A city life : people, business and everyone seems heading to certain direction. [DAY 3] of Moving 'Living room' in the forest. Different day, different forest - where each forest has its own characteristic. The plan was quite simple, since last Friday we decided to do whatever we like : working, napping, reading, enjoying our meals in different atmosphere. We prepared our meals at home, brought our tent, foldable chairs, pillows, books, and packed them up again by early evening (because mostly the forests are closed by 5 - 6 pm, unless we apply for more serious overnight camping at the office park management). The most interesting thing to observe is that every forest has its own vibes and people. You might not see in the pictures, but in the far distance (Yes!
