Happy Pride & Men's mental health awareness month!

I'd like to think of June as humanity's kindness month and while we bring up LGBTQIA+, I love that it's also Men's month. Of course there are so much more to celebrate in other months, Women's, Black Lives Matters... I'd like to think that Pride month sheds light on all of it in one swoop. Pride month is the reminder that freedom is important and for us to be able to feel safe and able to express ourselves. 🩷

I'd also like to mention how emotional I was while drawing this. I know... I know, I came really late into the Eddsworld fandom and for obvious self explanatory reasons (I watched Cuptoast's Pork Soda) I hate to say it lmao but it did remind me that Eddsworld exists and is a beautiful gem. I love that I got into it and I only recently learnt about Edd Gould's passing... I'm not good with handling serious topics mentally and that's why I usually stick to colorful cartoons as a form of escapism. I know that it has been 14 years since he passed and Edd's family has taken over the series, Tord is doing his own thing, Tomska the same, while Matt is still working on it as well, with a bigger part played. But it just makes me cry how sad it is. I can't help but think about what the show would have looked like today if Edd was still alive. I know this seems very parasocial, but I'm incredibly emotional and empathetic, which in some cases like this one: SUCKS! I really enjoy Eddsworld as a show, but knowing what I know... I can't help but feel like the Eddsworld we see today isn't anywhere near the old vibe. Which is natural, I mean... It's not Edd writing the eddisodes anymore. Gah! I'm too sentimental for this. Whatever his family and friends choose to do in the future, I feel for them. I love this show so much and the people who are a part of it. Rest in peace, Edd Gould. He was a motherfucking king 👑🫂
