So there's gossip about some version of kinktober over on twitter adding a bunch of nonsensical rules this year, and I am fascinated. Studying this like a bug.

What really gets me is their insistence for multiple rules that it can't be misinterpreted if it's taken out of context. "Yes I know you showed them negotiating limits at the beginning and doing aftercare at the end like we said, but if I cut those bits out, some of the sentences in the middle are a bit ambiguous and I find that scary"

Also 'creators' and 'content-consumers'. There's no artists, writers or fans here, it's all about content!

my literal only contribution to the caitvi kinktober mess is that we’re truly overlooking how the rules explicitly ban “uneven power dynamic roleplay” while one half of the ship is a cop that literally annexed and war crime’d the neighbourhood the other half of the ship grew up in. like this is a crucial part i think a lot of people are overlooking because. how can you be this media illiterate.
