Overwhelmed couldn’t even begin to describe what Harley was feeling. Merry fucking Christmas, everything you ever thought about your life turns out to be fake and hey you were once an angel who fell from grace then forget everything; including the whole fucking man behind the reason you fell in the first place. If he hadn’t seen Zane’s wings, and read it from his own journals, recognising his own handwriting, there was no way he would’ve believed it. Even if that wasn’t enough, the feeling in the pit of his stomach every time he lay eyes on Zane was enough for him to believe that the man would never lie to him. So here he was, newly human, or for him it felt like he had been all his life.
Harley was on his way to work, but decided on route that he couldn’t today. He wasn’t in the right mind frame, and his boss had always been good to him; he was sure Lylia would understand. He turned around, phone in hand ready to text her when he bumped squarely into the other, phone clattering to the ground. “Shit, sorry.” He sighed, reaching to pick up the device. Just another thing to add to his worsening day. “I do any damage?”
she’s bored. un-amused and un-entertained and its a bad combination for someone like her. someone thats personality reflected more of a gemini. so she stares, long fingers with painted white nails tapping the wooden table beneath her. one. she glances at her phone, ignoring the messages from a certain individual that she was supposed to meet. noami worked on her time. did things in accordance to her pace. and it was probably frustrating to those around her, but she was never one to please. two. her eyelids flutter, briefly skimming the texts on her phone from the same persistent person. a random she met at vociferous that she mistakenly decided to give her number to. and three. she stands, and tosses a wave to the owner of the cafe. now the dude was being bothersome, and maybe she could return the favor and put him to rest.
noemi valencia was never a pleasant vampire.
however, the plan takes a pause when her shoulders collide with another pair as soon as she exits the area and hazel eyes meet a gaze. the apology reaches her ears first and noemi holds back her tongue. “perhaps,” she comments back. though it was not true- she was fine. strong and sturdy. “should i get my doctor on the line?” there’s a small joke.
