FAQ
Q: who are you and why do i follow you?
A: we were previously @/marsti (and @/thebreeoche even longer ago), we changed our url + icon so we wouldn't be matching with our ex anymore. you probably follow us because we make art good.
Q: what do you use to make art?
A: we use clip studio paint pro 3.0, and a wacom intuos medium for all our digital art. the brushes we use are very inconsistent and mostly depend on vibes. for pixel art, we use this dithering set. all our art is coloured using custom gradient maps.
when we were homeless we used ibis paint on our phone with our fingers to draw. sometimes a friend let us use his tablet that had krita on it.
Q: what is [creative thing you're working on] and where can i engage with it?
A: only our webcomic, TRY AGAIN, is currently available publicly. update schedule: very infrequent.
antagonist syndrome, how to fracture noise, and running away on a treadmill are the english titles for the short stories we're writing, featuring the characters of dima, julie, and wave. we are writing them in french and have no idea if we'll ever make them public but we like talking about them.
Q: can i use your art for [thing]?
A: we believe intellectual property is antithetical to creativity and art as a whole, and so our policy is no policy. our art is free to use by anyone for any purpose. use it for banners, icons, reference it, edit it, trace it, repost it, we don't care.
Q: do you have a DNI/DNF?
A: no. it's easier to simply block anyone we find annoying.
Q: why am i blocked?
A: you were annoying.
Q: sometimes you post about things that are upsetting to me, can you tag them please?
A: yeah sure no problem bestie <3 stay safe out there, here's a little kiss on the forehead for you. mwah!
Q: ok cool. can you also tag your selfies for self harm?
A: no.
Q: how are you both polyamorous and aromantic?
A: we don't love our partners. we don't see what's hard to understand here.
Q: just to clarify, what's your gender?
A: we sexually identify as both a living legend and the physical embodiment of a disaster.
Q: no i mean what kind of trans are you
A: surely you can figure out what slurs apply to us by yourself.
Q: i heard you were a bad person
A: yes, and all the allegations are true, and we're both hotter and better than you for it.
oh fun fact actually!! in middle school (that's ages ~12 to ~15 here) literary class i was made to read don quixote, and that teacher asked us to write an essay on how it deconstructed the chivalry genre specifically as it related to french literature of the time. since i am french but did NOT grow up in france my essay was 10 pages longer than anyone else's and boiled down to "the french cultural empire has gone on for too long and its bullshit needs to be stopped right the fuck now"
the parent teacher conference that happened involved a full on screaming match lmaoooo
i should rewatch tekkon kinkreet <- gxrl who spent a good chunk of yesterday crying on the shower floor and is definitely not in the right mental space for any of that

Abstract. Weimar Berlin is considered a past haven of queer possibility, but for trans people its permissiveness had clear limits. A close r
Only in the past few years have the stories and experiences of trans people in Nazi Germany come to light.
On the Institute for Sexual Research
The Institute for Sexual Research in Berlin would be a century old if it hadn’t fallen victim to Nazi ideology
The institute was initially occupied by The German Student Union, who were a collective of Nazi-supporting youth. Several days later, on 10

The Hirschfeld Archives: Violence, Death, and Modern Queer Culture
Forever recommending How Sex Changed as a nonfiction reference book, which goes over Hirschfeld, Lili Elbe, Harry Benjamin, Christine Jorgenson, Lou Sullivan, WPATH, and more:
'How Sex Changed: A History of Transsexuality in the United States' by Joanne Meyerowitz
Also important context to the services Hirschfeld's Institute for Sexual Science provided: testosterone was first isolated as a compound in 1927, and first synthesized in 1935. The looting and shutdown of the institute happened in 1933.
imagine if, after writing Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling had a change of heart and started decrying books about wizards as degenerate filth before she started doing all the TERF stuff. and in between all her posts about hating minorities, she would always stop to mention how much she hates Harry Potter and she regrets that she wrote it. but despite this, you still have people clinging to the books as they do now, insisting that they're so good and so important to them. and JKR keeps telling people that they're wrong, and normal people keep saying "why do you guys care so much about this?" and JKR just keeps making known her hatred of the thing that made her famous. but then, a decade or two later, after she's spent so much time trying to tell people to stop caring about Harry Potter, she decides that she needs more money, so she releases some sequel books which are obviously AI generated, and that left everyone who still cared about it unsatisfied. this post is about Varg Vikernes
hello fellow artists. google has fallen. pinterest/duckduckgo AI filters don't work. do not despair; here is a list i made of places to find reference images without having to sift through piles of worthless garbage. (for future editing convenience i am just linking my blog post on dreamwidth.)
✨ good places to find art reference that are not full of AI trash 🌈
I also think that the strength gap is at least partially manufactured women would in fact be stronger overall if little girls were encouraged to do physically taxing games and activities and eat their fill while they’re growing vs having to constantly diet and be sedentary indoors (or god forbid do intense cardio while under-eating). The amount of adult women honestly afraid to lift weights bc they think they’ll get bulky as though bulking isn’t a full time job that athletes have to spend all their time on and anyone on earth gets shredded from just using their adult muscles for their intended purpose, girl your bone density 🥀
if you say women are intentionally nerfed from birth in 2026 people look at you like you’re insane and start condescendingly telling you about how women are just better at different things (but not during their periods haha) but this was a completely basic feminist talking point I grew up with like “girls can do it too! [shot of little girls climbing and running with boys]” nickelodeon commercial tier base level I hate it how is everyone suddenly dumber than the average 7 year old
