THANKS!
For all the people who have followed on Tumblr the past few years, big thank you. Met some great people from here, and still shocked to see this platform change.
I can go on and on, but the best thing to say is - those people you follow and love their work - Keep following. Just will be in a different place. We know how to use the internet so keep using it. Support those if you can as well, to ensure things stay wide open and not just subject to prudes and fear.

Goodbye Tumblr! Another Nail in The Coffin for Freedom of Expression!
Many of you that follow my main site may know that before it existed I used to post and share my content here on Tumblr. My first site Daysgonebyporn was inspired here before I moved to a version of Kamera Club on Tumblr and eventually to my main site. I now post all my content on my main site, but share with other followers on both Tumblr and Twitter. Well in it’s wisdom Tumblr have decided to enforce a no adult content policy on everyone, which includes literally all my posts! Don’t get me wrong I’m all for protecting minors against this type of content, even vintage glamour such as mine, but there are ways to do this including us as adults taking responsibility for what our children do and view online.
What annoys me more is that the pseudo morality stance these big companies are now taking. Especially when the very content they are now all banning is the very content that got them where they are now! But even more annoying is the 7 years of my content gone and what next? Service providers banning hosting of sites such as mine, where will it end?
Anyway, goodbye Tumblr it was a blast while it lasted, but I live on here at my main site - The Kamera Club

Today, Tumblr announced that it will soon prohibit users from uploading porn in an effort to deal with the platform’s ongoing issues with people posting child pornography and other problematic, illegal content. While the decision is definitely borne out of good intentions, it’s more than likely going to have a bigger impact on a number of the fandom communities it gave rise to.

tumblr is over
tumblr to me was the wild mix of art, trash, self-expression, passion, porn, kink and sex. Like a dream or the subconscious: never pretty, never nice but immensely vivid and inspiring. An tumblr was truth. People would spill out their phantasies, their fears, their secrets…
Censorship - Only nice stuff allowed
With the new regulations in place tumblr will be heavily censored and all about nice, nice…like facebook or instagram. I don’t need that. I’m on Facebook and on Instagram already.
Nobody needs another Instagram
I joined tumblr in May 2013. Today I have over 57k follower and nearly 1000 posts of original art. I have little interest in what tumblr has become.
I will not post anything in December
Here is my call out to you.
Stop posting art and visuals! Post your protest! Nothing else!
Use the hashtag #tumblrisover
Make yourself heard. Make #tumblrisover trending.
Don’t like this post: You need to REBLOG / SHARE !!!!

the end of an era....
tumblr announced that as of december 17, 2018, explicit content will no longer be allowed on this site. while i am happy that they finally dealt with the problem of CP and porn bots, i am sad to see that it has come to this. this blog has been part of my life since 2011. while i haven’t had as much time as i would have liked in recent years, i will miss the positive community and all the lovely people on here. i have learned so much about myself through being part of this blog. to the nearly half a million people that follow me, thank you for being part of this journey.
for those of you who want to keep in touch, my personal blog is loversturnintomonsters. i am also okay with exchanging other social media 🌝.
thank you for 7 years ✨.

A better, more positive Tumblr
Since its founding in 2007, Tumblr has always been a place for wide open, creative self-expression at the heart of community and culture. To borrow from our founder David Karp, we’re proud to have inspired a generation of artists, writers, creators, curators, and crusaders to redefine our culture and to help empower individuality.
Over the past several months, and inspired by our storied past, we’ve given serious thought to who we want to be to our community moving forward and have been hard at work laying the foundation for a better Tumblr. We’ve realized that in order to continue to fulfill our promise and place in culture, especially as it evolves, we must change. Some of that change began with fostering more constructive dialogue among our community members. Today, we’re taking another step by no longer allowing adult content, including explicit sexual content and nudity (with some exceptions).
Let’s first be unequivocal about something that should not be confused with today’s policy change: posting anything that is harmful to minors, including child pornography, is abhorrent and has no place in our community. We’ve always had and always will have a zero tolerance policy for this type of content. To this end, we continuously invest in the enforcement of this policy, including industry-standard machine monitoring, a growing team of human moderators, and user tools that make it easy to report abuse. We also closely partner with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Internet Watch Foundation, two invaluable organizations at the forefront of protecting our children from abuse, and through these partnerships we report violations of this policy to law enforcement authorities. We can never prevent all bad actors from attempting to abuse our platform, but we make it our highest priority to keep the community as safe as possible.
So what is changing?
Posts that contain adult content will no longer be allowed on Tumblr, and we’ve updated our Community Guidelines to reflect this policy change. We recognize Tumblr is also a place to speak freely about topics like art, sex positivity, your relationships, your sexuality, and your personal journey. We want to make sure that we continue to foster this type of diversity of expression in the community, so our new policy strives to strike a balance.
Why are we doing this?
It is our continued, humble aspiration that Tumblr be a safe place for creative expression, self-discovery, and a deep sense of community. As Tumblr continues to grow and evolve, and our understanding of our impact on our world becomes clearer, we have a responsibility to consider that impact across different age groups, demographics, cultures, and mindsets. We spent considerable time weighing the pros and cons of expression in the community that includes adult content. In doing so, it became clear that without this content we have the opportunity to create a place where more people feel comfortable expressing themselves.
Bottom line: There are no shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content. We will leave it to them and focus our efforts on creating the most welcoming environment possible for our community.
So what’s next?
Starting December 17, 2018, we will begin enforcing this new policy. Community members with content that is no longer permitted on Tumblr will get a heads up from us in advance and steps they can take to appeal or preserve their content outside the community if they so choose. All changes won’t happen overnight as something of this complexity takes time.
Another thing, filtering this type of content versus say, a political protest with nudity or the statue of David, is not simple at scale. We’re relying on automated tools to identify adult content and humans to help train and keep our systems in check. We know there will be mistakes, but we’ve done our best to create and enforce a policy that acknowledges the breadth of expression we see in the community.
Most importantly, we’re going to be as transparent as possible with you about the decisions we’re making and resources available to you, including more detailed information, product enhancements, and more content moderators to interface directly with the community and content.
Like you, we love Tumblr and what it’s come to mean for millions of people around the world. Our actions are out of love and hope for our community. We won’t always get this right, especially in the beginning, but we are determined to make your experience a positive one.

This is pretty horrible. Prude culture strikes again! So do I have to go back and take down all my nude comedy, made for the purpose of normalizing the human body? I think I actually feel mad. Maybe just really, really sad. The more we reserve nudity for sexual contexts, the more our culture will view nudity as a strictly sexual thing.
This year should have been one of the best years of our lives, but for much of it I have watched Nicole Vaunt and Brennan Hill suffer in silence for standing up in an industry that has no protection. There is no human resources for our work, and because they sought to protect their peers and co-workers their lives have been made impossibly hard.
This lawsuit was nothing more than an attack on women exercising their rights to freedom of speech and provide some guidance. Please take a moment to share or contribute if you can to help with the legal fees they have accrued.
