Aron thanking his members at the end of the final ‘Double You’ concert in Seoul while sobbing

I can’t even imagine how much his members mean to Aron. They were his only friends when he came to Korea. For the past seven years they’ve been by his side. He goes out of his way for them. From leaving his family to join NU’EST, to waiting for his NU’EST family to comeback late every night from Pd101 recordings and cooking for them. He’s been holding all the pain inside for years and it breaks my heart seeing him sob in front of his mother and sister. I hope he can be confident now, and realise we don’t love him just because he’s in NU’EST, we love him cos he’s himself, he’s Aaron.

I can’t emphasize this enough. Aron held on through the highs and lows. He could have left any time he wanted when things were too tough. Even back then when he went home as the other members were on Produce 101, even when we were so worried that he’d never come back at all, he still did. He made it a point to be there for his brothers who were everything and by his side when he first arrived. He was there to welcome his brothers with opened arms after a grueling bootcamp and he thought that was the only thing he could ever do. He stayed silent even when people were questioning him, pulling out his past ‘scandals’ to add insults to injury just so not to give them any potential backlash.

‘Thank you for supporting me too’, ‘thank you for accepting me despite lacking’ - how much pain and courage must he have at once to say that? Aron knows fully well about his haters. Just earlier this year he had to delete his comment on a labelmate because people outright replied to his comment in degrading slurs. Just a few weeks back. He also ran with his bad knees on ISAC because he knew that nu’est w being able to participate in a relay race was a huge thing and he had given his best.

Nothing hurts more to see how much he has changed and how he seemingly still blamed himself in one way or another. And I truly hope that after the three-day concert, Aron will finally see that so many people are cheering him on not just because he’s a member of nu’est, but because they adore him as who he is.

I hope that after today’s tears, there would only be happy tears. Because LOVEs too, love him the same way NU’EST members do, the members who stayed by his side and guided him since trainee days, the members who give him hugs at the time he feels the most dejected, the members who have cried along in private when thinking about their future.

And I hope all LOVEs remember this too. Maybe you have a bias, a stan, and that’s okay. Even if you are not a fan of other members yet, it’s okay. But please, don’t hurt another member just because they are not your fave. Someone who isn’t your bias is still someone else’s bias. We hurt and bleed the same way you do when yours is under attack. i don’t ask you to love him or embrace him the way we do, but don’t hate on him, and truly give him a chance yourself to see his own growth. Because giving them a shoulder, that’s what LOVEs are about.

we are all in tears right now

Aron has arguably had it worse out of anyone, all these years he’s been doubting himself. He’s never wanted the lime light and always chooses to put it on the other members instead, but i’m glad people are noticing him for his personality now, and for how much the members been to him. We really haven’t seen him smile is so long. It breaks my heart seeing him cry so much, he couldn’t even speak.
