Unironically, Happy Feet really is that deep.

It's one of my favorite movie.

The general story is about human destroying the ecosystem, but there's another story just between the penguins.

It touches on ableism, community, tradition, etc.

Mumble's otherness being accepted by the other misfit penguins from another species is so important on how community plays a big part in his support system and personal development.

Gloria and his mother, too, are both penguins that's always loved him for who he is. It makes me so happy that she genuinely loved him from the start and she has always defended him from others ever since he was a baby.

The movie also touches on how his atypical behavior is just atypical in a specific society. He was so easily-accepted elsewhere because those implicit rules don't apply.

The elder penguins' willingness to stick to tradition just because it's tradition is a comment on how theology plays deeply into the operation of certain society (COUGHS CHRISTIAN US GOV COUGHS).

There's also another part of the story about how his "disability" is only deemed as worthy to the elders when it results in some benefit to the community (him being able to dance and communicate with humans to bring them to the penguin for help). It emulates how some disabilities are sensationalized when it becomes a source of inspiration for others or contributes to society to some way.

There's a lot in this movie about sympathy and kindness and community and how those are so important for disabled individuals to thrive.

Happy Feet 2 is also good. They got homosexual krill in there.

I'm balding trying to look for an android alarm app that lets you set alarm on a specific date with a label.

It's either a reminder with a date (doesn't go off like an alarm) or the alarm only lets you set days of the week.

Watching a movie with a good concept but the acting, directing, and the pacing is so bad it's killing the movie.

The movie is The Last House and it's about when rain traps everyone indoors (literally. It's evil rain) and this family has to learn how to survive.

I feel like it COULD have been good because the visuals and colorgrading is nice, but the acting and pacing...There are so many shots in here that are more for an artistic film than it is for an action horror movie.

THIS MOVIE IS TWO HOURS LONG.

Things I ate before shit yourself disease hit me:

- raw fish with mango

- some of that Alaskan Salmon roe

- protein powder mixed with milk and strawberry flavoring that expired in 2022

- stale chips opened 4 months ago

- rambutan and lychee

- ham sandwich from Costco with a single lettuce leaf on it

- Yogurt mixed with ice cream

Not sure what the source could be. Maybe it's the Costco ham sandwich.

Pictures I took on my sweaty summer walk today.

Met two dogs that apparently escaped the house and ran off to play (they had collars). Fortunately, they only crossed the small road and stayed on the sidewalk before swiftly returning to the residential area.

Met a mailman and asked for a picture. He said yes. Radiant beautiful smile. It's my favorite picture of the bunch.

I still need to learn how to frame things because the camera does NOT take what is shown the viewfinder and I end up with cropped area on the bottom (like the yellow car).
